Ive tried several gyms in the Mission Valley area, I was even roped into a 1 year contract with 24 hour fitness but I just wasnt happy. I decided to try Chuze and literally fell in love!! First of all, they are about half the price of 24 and you get free tanning, hydro massage and infared sauna! I really love the layout of this gym, its one story, spread out and every area is somewhat separate for a sense of privacy. Staff is super friendly and welcoming, always willing to help you if youre new and have a bunch of silly questions. James signed me up, he was super friendly, energetic and made me feel totally welcome, he also checks up on me every time I come back in. 10/10 customer service. I keep coming back because I feel at home here. Thanks Chuze, keep up the good work.

By far the best gym I have ever joined. Employees are above and beyond professional especially Mike and Anthony they go above and beyond for any member at anytime they are both extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They both make it a priority to learn your name which to some is no big deal but to me is exactly what a professional like these two bring to the table. As long as the employees at chuze take after both of these guys styles of leadership I will never have to find another gym. Mission Valley chuze is not even the closest gym to my house but it is worth the extra couple miles.

The gym itself isnt terrible, but they are very predatory when it comes to the contracts. They do not give you a physical copy to sign, and instead you sign an electronic pad after a sales associate explains certain terms to you. It was not until I tried to leave that I realized a number of these terms were NOT explained or even mentioned to me. This resulted in over $150 of extra fees and charges. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY LOW PRICES. Unless you are planning on this being your gym for the rest of your life, it simply isnt worth it. They make their money off of screwing the people who try to leave.

Liked this place a lot when I lived in San Diego. There was always equipment available and the trainers were very competent and did not hassle you. Only suggestion is that I would make all of equipment (TRX) available for use w/o the need for trainers. Other than that, loved the place and the staff was friendly and they kept the place very clean. Lots of energetic classes, though I never participated in, the people seemed to enjoy themselves and get great workouts. Highly suggest. Oh yeah, the prices are right! $9.99 - single or $19.99 - bring a friend anytime.

10 dollars a month sounds like a good deal but... Add $40 for yearly fee and about $80 to get started unless you give the access to your bank account and the it is only $60. You must go to the gym to cancel and they charge for about 2 weeks after you cancel but deny you access to the gym. They make you sign contracts on a little pad and show you what you signed a few days later via email. Most of the employees are quite nice but there is at least one jerk per shirt per gym. Except for their mega gym, thats where they mostly recruit the aforementioned.

Nice gym and very fair prices. Chuze "Premium" is currently $20 a month, and paying this higher rate lets you bring a guest with you each time you visit. Bringing a friend has kept me more motivated to do the gym, and is an awesome perk. PROPS: Big location and lots of machines. While Ive never done a class, I appreciate that they have a full schedule of classes for members. SLOPS: The parking here is awful. The spots are too small. If youre coming during busy business hours, expect to have a difficult time getting in and out of here.

Great starter gym which is totally what I need! The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean! THE only negative thing I can say is the parking is awful! I nearly drove around for the amount of time I had allotted for my workout! I was so frustrated I nearly just drove home! I went thinking that 3:30 pm would be a perfect time before the 5pm rush and I was wrong! Not sure there is any way of fixing this problem but its helpful for others to know this specific challenge.

Staff was pretty nice and they always kept the place clean. Plenty of equiptment for everyone and nice big dressing rooms but kind of old showers. I wish I didnt move so far away from a chuze! :( terribly small parking lot (not something they can control but it gets really frustrating). Of all the Chuzes Ive been to this was definitely my favorite, it was cool being in a second story gym and it had a nice vibe. Would recommend

Nice clean gym. Almost too friendly employees. But thats fine. Limited machines and the gym is sorely lacking in space and free weight stations which are almost always in use. Dated equipment is quite disappointing after several visits to the gym. But for the money its five stars. I give it four stars for the dated equipment and their poor choice in equipment. They could do much better considering what is available.

Tldr - this gym is a joke for anyone serious about weightlifting. Clean gym, but it doesnt have a real squat rack, or a normal bench for bench press and a deadlifting station with a regular sized 45lb straight bar. They expect you to use smith machines for the big lifts. However this gym is perfect for cardio bunnies that enjoy wasting their time and never making any real progress in the gym.

Good gym. Parking can be an issue in the front....or just park in the back. I love the fact that someone has to greet you in/out. Nice touch. TVs everywhere, for the games of course. Lack of free weight bench press and squat rack drops it one star. Other then that, Id recommend it, especially for $10. (though there is a "maintenance fee?" twice a year, so its probably closer to 15 or so)

Been going for a month and so far few complaints at all. $100/month and no one tried to up-sell me to the more expensive packages. The fee includes classes such as body sculpting and core. Equipment modern and clean. Only problem is that some members dont wipe machines after use, but I guess there are pigs everywhere. Really dont know why you would go anywhere else. Cant beat the value.

Alright gym, no benches, no straight bars for deadlifts, no squat racks... Cant drop the weights too loud... Whatever that means, and its packed during the day! But staff is always nice, convenient locations for sd area, cheap prices, open 24/7! Final review: not for the really competitive lifters but the lack of equipment allows you to find new methods of high intensity workouts.

I joined this gym when it first opened years ago. Needless to say I didnt work out as often as I should have. Recently Ive been going 4 times a week minimum and remember why I joined. The vibe is great! The staff is always super friendly and upbeat which helps when you dont always feel like working out. Super clean, fun vibe and not pretentious. I recommend it to everyone.
