BEWARE the staff members are very disrespectful. I am a 26 year old female who is 100 pounds and both managers felt it necessary to yell at me at the same time. Watch out for KEN the manager he completely lies to your face. When I asked them to stop charging or freeze the charges as they call it due to Medical reasons he said no problem we can freeze it but we can only refund for last months if you bring in a doctors note. After being charged 160 dollars again the following month I went in and Ken sent me to Jim saying oh not a problem Jim can take care of you. Jim is another manager apparently the guy who claims he runs the place. He told me oh Ken really doesnt know what he is talking about we do not do refunds after being charged but they can freeze it to not charge anymore. I said I already asked Ken to freeze it and he told me they did refunds if I brought a doctors note. He said again well sorry but Ken is wrong about refunds. Fine I dont get my refund but I asked to freeze the account thats not my fault that he forgot to do it the day I asked him to so they at least owed me that payment. He still continued to say they cannot refund me that either. I stood my ground and asked him how is that my fault that Ken forgot to do it the day I asked instead he did it the day my money was coming out and said oh it was to late. I told him a whole month prior to being charged the SECOND time. I just wanted my money back for the charges that were charged after I asked them to freeze/cancel, not for the ones prior because I understood no refunds. THEIR policy states if you want to freeze it you can AT ANY TIME. Well I asked to freeze it, its not my fault Ken forgot. So technically it wouldnt be a refund because that was their fault and its rightfully my money. I could see if I received a service but I didnt I cancelled!! They began getting frustrated because I wasnt backing down. Its their fault I was hurt anyways because one of their personal trainers had me lifting 100 pounds doing squats, well I am 100 pounds and I got hurt. Yes I believe it was an accident and obviously not intentional but you would think they would help me out a little. Nope. They got frustrated and yelled at me. I have never written a review about anyone, but I feel like if I can save anyone from getting screwed at this gym I will at least get some kind of win. At the end of the day they won, I am not getting my money after them making me cry and having an anxiety attack. Good for them!!!!

Ive belonged many gyms in different cities and countries throughout my life and this is the worst one Ive ever belonged to. 1. The bathroom is dirty. It was so bad that my wife refused to go 2. The equipment is old and never gets fixed when it breaks. 3. The layout is poor 4. There is a constant turn over in the staff, which to me reflects how poor the management is 5. They over-charged my card, and made it so inconvienent to get my money back that I just gave up. They simply wouldnt review the matter and return it to the card. I had to meet with a special manager at any convenient time. Which was when I was working. Not too late, or too early, during lunch hours or on my days off. It was such a pain that I just gave up on the $70. I didnt want to take time off work, and lose money just to get this $70 that was mine. I asked if I could do it over the phone and fax the forms in, but they still refused. I only joined this gym because it was close to home, but now I just make the extra drive to Golds gym. The bathrooms arent too dirty, so my wife works out there too! I would honestly think long and hard before you consider joining this gym.

I signed a contract and paid for personal trainer with previous owners/management. To my surprise, my contract was not inputted properly and I was set to receive only half of the personal trainer hours I paid for and my trainer would not continue under new ownership. However, the new manager, Walter, worked very hard to make things right. He adjusted the hours and set me up with a new personal trainer, Walt. If you are looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable in fitness training, nutrition, and transforming the body... Ask for Walt! I have worked with Walt two to three times a week for several months. Walt has helped me lose 80+ pounds and has greatly improved my strength and conditioning! In addition, the new owners have installed new equipment and are continuing to improve the gym. Excellent weight and cardio machines. Thank you Walter and Walt!!!!

World Gym in La Quinta is hands down! THE WORST GYM I have ever been a member of. The staff and management are disrespectful, badly trained and they will find a way to put you on a contract even if you came in for a trial and successfully completed their ¨ 4 week satisfaction guarantee certificate ¨ which to be honest is just a SCAM to get people in, as they wont honor the trial even if you were not satisfied with the experience (too crowded, no parking, gym staff fighting in front of everyone, disrespectful, poorly trained staff, etc.). I could give you the names of the people I interacted with, but... I strongly believe you are better off not knowing none of these people, and going to any other gym that isnt as poorly ran as this one. SERIOUSLY, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM!.

This place is grimy and outdated. Bathroom is horribly lit, and looks like a place youd be assulted in. Dont join their rockfit program(The instructors are rude and unmotivating. The work outs they have you do are very poorly instructed. They dont listen at all and are incredibly detached) More so just dont join this gym at all. Its a joke and now I feel like I need a tetanis shot. Would give it no stars if I could

This gym had been good to me. Im now finishing my second year at this gym and so far have been treated great. I mistakenly forgot to update my billing information and months passed when I finally realized they were nice enough to help me and not change me the late fees. Also each time I go not once have I had to wait for a machine. This is a great gym I drive 20 minutes just to go to this location

Was visiting LQ and got a week pass for $50 and it was well worth it. The gym is clean with lots of new freeweight and weight machine options. I went in the mornings and it was not crowded at all. Front desk staff was very friendly every morning. We visit LQ a couple of times a year and I will be back for sure.

I received false information on signing up and ended up having to pay even though I ended up not going. I asked to speak to the manager and after going through hoops to talk to someone I ended up with a sales pitch. waist of time and money. bad customer customer service.
