Let me start this off by saying, I never and I mean NEVER, write a review on a business unless it’s terrible or amazing! Crossfit Humanity falls into the amazing category! This is not the first time I have partaken in Crossfit. With that being said if it was, Humanity would be the place I would absolutely want to get started at. As a veteran, and I use that term very loosely, this once again fills the billet of; the gym I would like to workout at. They have the best programs available for the members! They truly love to see the success of each and every person that walks through that door. If it’s Crossfit, powerlifting, gymnastics, running, or even mobility, there is a program/class and a coach willing to guide you to all your fitness goals. I have been a part of this box for one month now. I haven’t seen such a supportive community, in far longer than what I would like to admit. It feels like I have known the coaches and the members for months. They have been able to help me break 5 of my personal lifting records. At first I thought it was something in the air, but after the 3 record breaker, I realized that statement couldn’t have been any more false. Coach Alan helped my mobility, Coach Sal tweaked my form, all coaches and members cheered me on, and I just like that, I was crushing my records left and right! I have nothing but good things to say about Crossfit Humanity! If you challenge my words, feel free to go and see for yourself! One workout is all you need and you’ll be hooked. They were the first and only gym I went to when I arrived in the SD area. I couldn’t have more pleased with my decision. Oh and Phil, thanks for saving my life by warning me about that step!

Im so glad I walked into this gym last week and got a week pass. I was in San Diego on business and found this place via a friend. I had never attended a crossfit class before, so it was all pretty new. The facility was fantastic. Very easy location, wide open warehouse, great equipment, nice layout. The coach (they all called him Irish...because he is) was super organized, and tremendously inspirational. He was able to work with everyone one on one throughout the class- really focused on form and technique. He really helped me so much in the 4 classes I took with him. They seem to have a good deal of programming there, ranging from yoga and aerial silks to gymnastics. I caught a yoga class as well and was very glad I did. Members at this gym are in great hands. The other members were very collegial and there was a great sense of pride and community here. One added bonus was "Cara" the gym dog, a boxer. She was extremely therapeutic while I was rolling out and stretching before class. I cant recommend this gym more. It was an awesome place to work out for the week, and an awesome introduction to the world of crossfit. I will definitely be back when I am in town. I would rank it 6 stars if I could.

When I first Walked into crossfit humanity, I saw a room full of positive, energetic people all working towards a common goal. Nobody was in outrageously good shape, or trying to one-up eachother from the across the gym. Just a positive place to let out steam. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into until I met the incredible staff and personable owner, Phil Kavanagh. Phil happily took me under is wing, offering his undivided knowledge on fitness, diet and overall wellness and happiness. And I can honestly say that having listened to his advice over the past two years that I am leaving crossfit humanity a much more rounded person than when I first walked through those doors. I now consider myself advanced in the areas of crossfit, power/ Olympic lifting, metabolic training, mobility, yoga, diet, balanced living, and stress release. If you want to make a genuine change in your life, stop by and talk to one of my good friends- Phil, Alan or Hannah. Youll be impressed by what they can do to help you get on the right track. To my friends at humanity- sad I have to relocate but I will remember every one of you. Ill drop in soon!

When my best friend brought me into CrossFit Humanity I expected to try a high intensity weight-heavy workout I was sure I’d like. Once I joined, however, this community has taken a special place in my heart. Humanity encompasses a common thread of compassion, caring, and hard work. Its fabric are its people; and their fitness goals are as varied as their personalities! Everyone is quick to help a new member out and I love the commitment this community shows balancing work, family, and still giving it their all at the gym. I enjoy mixing up my workouts and Humanity provides the opportunity to get outside as well at the track, swimming in Coronado’s Glorietta Bay, and huffing and puffing up and down the San Diego convention center stairs. The coaches are knowledgeable, relatable, and always come from a place of warmth. Humanity is certainly a gym with HEART. If you want to lift, go to any CrossFit gym, if you want to feel a part of something larger, Humanity is where it’s at!

I absolutely loved my time at Crossfit Humanity. (Recently moved to AZ) Ive been to a few gyms in the past and this one was by FAR my favorite. I am not a super social person, and can be really awkward, but everyone was really nice and friendly and I didnt feel like a complete outsider. I loved the coaching at this gym, I loved the programming, the cleanliness was impeccable and my favorite part was all the "extras" that were offered for no additional cost. I have been to and heard of so many gyms that charge a monthly rate, but then charge 10 dollars for yoga or 10 dollars for mobility, etc. etc. I loved that everything was available from gymnastics to open water swimming all included. If you want attentive coaches, tons of extras, a clean environment, and programming that doesnt feel like a coach threw a dart at a dartboard filled with workouts, GO HERE.

It’s difficult to put into words what CrossFit Humanity has given to me. The coaches and staff at CrossFit Humanity are beyond phenomenal, all carefully hand-picked by the owner Phil K. Their enthusiasm and passion for helping others become better athletes and, more importantly, people in & out of the gym is nothing shy of remarkable. The members of CrossFit Humanity are a wonderfully diverse mix of people, ranging in experience, ability, and age. One common thread that all members seem to share is that they are all incredible people. I’ve been a member here for almost a year & am so thankful for making the leap that one Saturday to come in & try it out. Now, I can’t see myself working out anywhere else. This is not a gym; it’s a second home. Thank you to all the coaches, staff and fellow members for making this such a special place.

As a Crossfit newbie and person of mediocre fitness, I wasnt sure if Crossfit would be the right thing to get my lazy bum in shape, but youll have to trust me: regardless of who you are or what you do, youll find a supportive, smart, and fun crowd here. The coaches are knowledgable and help you to scale any movements you need (if youre a wimp like me). The other folks who work out here are motivating and fun. Parking is easy. And theres a gym dog who hangs around looking for attention, too! Come check it out, you wont be sorry!
