I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surf Brothers (via Express Gourmet online) went above and beyond to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday last Friday. I ordered the Little Boy Catering with Chicken & Steak Combo, Brown Rice & Salad, and they delivered it on time to his office - AND wrapped up like a birthday present with a bow on top! Since I live in San Francisco, I filled out the "contact us" web form and instantly got a call back from the owner, Reza. He set up the whole thing with his awesome staff and Hilda even emailed me pictures! It was an awesome surprise that he and his coworkers could enjoy. My boyfriends immediate response was: "Surf Brother!!! I LOVE THEM!" I wish I could give this place more than just 5 stars for everything they did - and I hear their food is healthy & delicious!

Have been a fan of Surf Brothers for many years. Their menu may be less extensive than most restsursnts, but, like In-and-Out, this means they devote a great deal of attention to making sure each item is the best it can be. Their slaw/salad is crunchy and fresh. Their steak is tender and flavorful. Both their white and brown rice are excellent. Their chicken sliders on Hawaiian buns are tender and flavorful. While their teriyaki sauce is wonderful, it is not necessary to enjoy your meal. Prices are reasonable, especially if you join their rewards club. Service is always quick and accurate. My only complaint is they do not have enough locations in the county!

Yummy yummy lunch spot. Its a tad on the expensive side (around $8-$10 for a regular size lunch), but it is truly delicious. Their sauce is simply excellent with a great mix of sweet, salty, and sour. Food comes out quickly and theres plenty of seating outside. Personally I always go for the chicken (with extra chicken) meal and have never been disappointed. The rice is always well cooked and warm.

These restaurants are awesome!!! So delicious, healthy and very affordable! Its conveniently located near my office and the speed/customer service is exceptional. Great family owned restaurant - the owners are very accommodating and really care about every single customer!! Cant say enough about this place! Highly recommend :)

If you like teriyaki make sure you try them out. Parking is an issue, but found a spot real easy on the street. Hilda is the manager who took care of my order. She was very professional and made sure my order came out on time. I always get extra sauce, its the best teriyaki sauce I ever had.

I had only 15 minutes for lunch and wanted to grab something healthy and tasty and saw a surf brothers in utc too. Great staff especially the manager Hilda, and the food was great as usual. Got the shredded chicken sliders, so good. Thanks guys for taking care of me. Been a long time fan

Okay the food is the best, love the chicken, the rice, and the salad aint bad. But the vaue, it started simple enough, and the value was great, but they kicked up the prices, and I dont like that. But hey, overall its amazingly good food for a little out of the way place.

Best chicken and steak in La Jolla. I love their simple menu. Its family owned and operated. No wonder it is so good. Was tired of the same old chain food, glad surf bros in town for a quick lunch Teri fix

Tiny portions at extravagant prices. And to top it all off, the food isnt even good. Ironically, L&L is the complete opposite of this Hawaiian BBQ wannabe.
