We recently purchased a vehicle from a local dealership and took our car to Landis for a Service Evaluation. We had never been here before but opted to give them a try as they are a certified Honda repair shop and the reviews claim this place is great. They preformed the service evaluation, which was suppose to include fluids being checked, all filters checked, advise of any leaks, check tune up parts, check tires, and brakes, and also check the suspension and read the codes. We also paid for a top tier oil change too. This place charged us nearly $200 and clearly never did a complete service check on the vehicle because the air filters and cabin filters were never checked and neither was the battery. When I first realized that many of the paid for services were not completed I called to check what was included in a service evaluation because I couldnt find my receipt and they assured me that they would have checked the filters, battery, and everything else we paid for. I found the receipt a day later and the receipt indicated all the items had been completed, so I called them back and they acted like it was no big deal and never even offered an apology. I would not trust another vehicle to this place, very unprofessional and poor service all around!

I had some bad experiences at Landis. I took my 1999 Civic here for a while. Their rates are fairly high...I now take my car to Daves Automotive and hes much more reasonable (and honest). The service at Landis is bad. Waits are long and they dont have a waiting room. At least twice Ive walked around downtown while they worked on my car. Aaron said he would call when it was ready. I waited and waited and finally called them and they said it was already finished. The last straw was when they didnt rotate my tires, something that was included in the service and Aaron assured me they would do. I had suspected they hadnt done it the previous time, so this time I marked my tires and saw that it hadnt been done. So I called and he made up an excuse about how it isnt really necessary. How dishonest. I wouldnt trust them for anything and neither should you.

I am from out of state. I needed a timing belt to be changed. Landis changed my timing belt. when i picked my van back up, they said i needed $1300 worth of break work. They said i needed new break calipers, new rotors, new pads, etc. It turns out i dont need new calipers, rotors or pads. I drove back to my home state and had my van checked out by two other trusted mechanics since then and they both told me that my breaks are fine. These trusted mechanics also told me that the price was extremely overcharged for what Landis offered. A friend whom lives in San Luis Obispo recommended them to me because he knew they specialize in Hondas. I feel like Landis tried to trick/ cheat me. Rob me. I am very disappointed with Landis Auto. I should of taken my Honda somewhere else.

I have been taking my Hondas to Landis since 1999. They have always been fair, honest, and efficient. Even when I lived in Florida for two years, I called them for advice on trouble shooting and quotes for specific parts and labor scenarios. They saved me $$ on more than one occasion. Now I am back in SLO and I get work done on my laptop in their break room whenever coming in for servicing. If you own a Honda, Landis is where you should be going.

I called them up and got a quote to replace a rear hub on my 06 honda civic after the lug nuts came loose damaging the hub. The $280 quote was $100 in parts, and 2 hours labor. Seemed like a fair deal. When I picked the car up, it was $180! It only took one hour instead of the two they thought, so the charge was about $100 less! That never happens at a mechanic :) Great place, easy to work with. Will happily take my honda back there in the future.

I brought my car in there and as it went a long the costs continued to add up. I would have appreciated a more up front professional statement about the prospected cost. And to top it off while they had it the alternator went out and they took no responsibility for it while my car was in there care. I would have liked a bit more of a professional attitude since my family has had good service with them in the past.

Having a 92 Civic w/over 243k miles on it that was given to me to use as a daily driver, unsure where to take it for the minor repairs, I found Landis and realized they know HONDA... and even though this car has previously been maintained extremely well - I have a feeling it will be coming here not only for minor but sometimes major repairs... they are friendly, helpful and already have my trust with my car.

We have been taking our Hondas to Landis since 2003. We have consistently received good and honest service and fair prices. We enjoy walking around downtown while getting an oil change, but they also have a comfortable waiting room in the back building where you can watch tv while you wait. Wed take our Hondas to Landis over the dealer any day.

They know their stuff about Hondas. I was out of town when my car broke and I had someone do "repairs". Those "repairs" ended up being unneeded and only a temporary fix. Landis fixed my car fully, for less than I paid another place to not fix it. Even if there is a wait, let these guys fix things right!

Best Japanese repair shop in town. These guys have been here forever and really know their stuff. John and Damian in the office can answer any question you throw at them. They stock a lot of common parts for Honda and Acura which has helped because it makes saves time and gets my car back to me same day.

These guys really know their stuff, and treat their customers well. My friend turned me on to them in 2001 and Ive been loyal ever since. Ive even been loyal to Honda since then through two more cars, just so I could continue getting repairs and maintenance at Landis.

Ive been going to Landis since 2002. Their service is honest, dependable and reasonably priced. This has led me to become a loyal customer and Honda owner. I buy Hondas because of Landis! Great cars and even better care.

The only place I like to take my car. Good mechanics, honest people, and they explain everything honestly and are simply kind, nice people to be around and to do business with.

Great prices! Great Service! The dealer wanted $2,000 to fix the sliding doors on my van. Landis did it for under $500. They always do a great job!

Quickly diagnosed the problem indicated by a "check engine" indicator; repairs were prompt and final cost was substantially less than the estimate.
