This car care center is the best I have ever seen. We have a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer with CVT transmission, we have been loving this car and taking very good care of it but the CVT transmission broke down at 208k miles. I have gone through a few car repair centers including mitsubishi dealers but non seemed to take on a CVT transmission repair with much confidence. I walked into AAMCO and talked to AL the owner, with only 20 minutes of consulting, I decided right away to bring the car in for him. Al was so informative about the condition of the car in every step of the way, he also suggested some additional works needed to be done on the car. I had transmission work, coolant flush and oil change done within 5 days. We took our car back and it was running even better, we have been using the car for 3 days now under heavy driving and no leaks, no lags, no excuses... This is the most professional car service with integrity, knowledge and trust, one of a very few existing nowadays. If you are in a desperate situation about your car like we were, please help yourself and go here talk to AL, he will make your car run even better than before with a very reasonable price. From now on, all of my family members cars go here!! period.

I met Kyle several years ago when he was in charge of service at a different SF AAMCO location. Even though my warranty work was from another AAMCO shop having gone out of business, he was exceptionally professional and went far beyond any expectations to complete the repair successfully. He is an extremely competent mechanic and will take the time to explain repairs in detail, if requested. His support structure from AAMCO is also quite strong and, though it is likely infrequent, they will collaborate on problems that seem otherwise intractable to reach a solution. Recently, (several years after the previous repair) rough shifting surfaced with the same transmission, so I brought it in to the SantaClara shop. He was able to pinpoint the issue and it turned out to be a minor problem that was resolved. There is a lot of uncertainty involved when bringing in a transmission for repair. Its totally essential to have trust in the mechanic and shop management to do a repair well and treat you fairly. Kyle is someone who understands that when you treat people well and everyone has a constructive experience, that the rewards are great.

Service here was better than I could possibly have expected! I used a Groupon deal to get a routine oil change, which was handled quickly and without any of the up-sell hassles that often come with such deals. When I got back into the car, the inside door handle popped out. It was fine when I came in, so I went back inside to tell Kyle, the manager. He offered to repair it as soon as he could get the part in, which turned out to be the next day. When I went back in, I offered to pay for the part because I really thought it couldnt have just suddenly broken if something hadnt been wrong with it already. The mechanic was hardly a hulk whose brut strength would rip a door handle out! But, Kyle insisted on doing the repair for free. I live in San Jose, so the shop is a little out of the way for me, but its well worth an extra ten minutes drive. Ill certainly be back and will tell all my friends to give this AAMCO a try.

New owner is fantastic. I got battery next door at Autozone for my Miata MX-5 but they couldnt install it so they sent me here to AAMCO. I asked Kyle, the manager, how much he would charge to install it [dealer charges would-ya-believe $50!] and he said, "Ill do it for free as a courtesy." Amazing. Then, he changed my oil w.filter, checked brakes, AND rotated tires for his discounted coupon price for oil change only, even though I had no coupon. Amazing. He told me nothing wrong with the car needing other work. Amazing. Now I am sitting here using their free Internet access waiting for them to finish doing the same thing for my Acura. This place is Amazing. Apparently, they had a different owner until late last year, so they inherited int-the-toilet ratings on various rating sites -- the new owner and manager are doing a great job, so please, if you come here, take a moment to tell others about your experience.

Albert helped my son and I by giving us a lot of valuable advice on a used car that we were thinking about buying. We had him run a diagnostic test to see if there were any problems. This car was going to be my 16 year olds first car. He gave us a lot of pointers as to what to look for and what to beware of. Im extremely pleased with Albert and Aamco! We ended up buying the car for $2000 less than than the amount we had negotiated on the day before, and $3500 less than the original asking price. This allows us to use the additional money to change the timing belt and water pump - services that should have been conducted 15,000 miles earlier. We wouldnt have known about these problems, nor would we have had leverage to negotiate for a lower price, if not for Albert and Aamco. Thanks Albert! Sheri Rose

Albert (new owner) and Dave were awesome at keeping us informed about the progress of repairs and notifying us promptly of any other issues that they found that needed to be taken care of. Pretty much on a daily basis they made contact. The prices they quoted for the repairs were well within the range of the other ships that I contacted. On the day I picked up the car I paid with my debit card not realizing there was a $5K cap. The owner (Albert) worked with us an allowed us to take the car and deposit the remaining balance via check from our bank into his account. This is almost unheard of these days. I would definitely recommend this shop to others. George &Anne Toyota Sienna

Al (the new owner) did a great job, and even got my Warranty company to waive the deductable on my rebuild. Also, when they had it out for a test drive, the rear axle chose that time to break (nothing to do with the test drive, it was a material failure), so he got them to waive the deductable on that repair as well. Plus, when my (new) battery gave up the ghost, he replaced it for free! Al is trying hard to win back the trust that the previous owner lost, so hell do everything he can to make sure youre more than happy. If you have a transmission/drive train problem, Al is the guy to see. Thanks for the great job, Al!

i have been looking around for a trans shop for a bit for a rebuild on my F-250 OBS and I did not know if they would have heavy duty application upgrades but come to find out they do including a triple plate torque converter which is what I need. all in all timing was decent for what they had to do and pricing was not too bad either for the upgrades I got including a massive intercooler for the transmission good shop and friendly people.
