The service is terrible. When trying to access our ubox shipping containers they were initially helpful with my wife but the day we arrived to clear them out they 1) blamed the national call center for not notifying them I would need to access the containers, 2) told us we should have called the facility the day before to REMIND THEM we had scheduled access, 3) admitted they missed the notice, and repeat notice (I called the call center twice to schedule and then confirm). So now Ive been sitting in an empty box truck waiting to unload my containers for an hour and theyre not sure when somebody will be here who is authorized to remove one from the top of the stack with a forklift. Confused? Me too. Whats clear is they dont give a damn about the customer or your time/money here. At all.

The trucks were all in good shape; very clean and pretty new. The show room was clean and well laid out. They did not have enough staff to service the traffic, so we had to wait almost 20 minutes to see someone; there were only 2 people ahead of us when we got there. The staff was polite, but not particularly professional. For something like renting big trucks, Id like to have a staff that was a little more eager to be at their jobs; rental car companies have mastered this. The location is pretty convenient, although Google maps tried to take us a very long way to get there. Do yourself a favor and read the map before following the voice. Also, if youre renting a truck, use the online check-in to save yourself time when you pick up the truck.

Do not trust Uhaul to keep their promise to you. I reserved several weeks in advance and read the fine print that they had the right to change locations so I double and triple checked with them a week before and they had moved my pick up location to Fremont. Then a day before pick up, they told me the only trailer they had left in the size that I booked was in Santa Cruz and they were not willing to help with anything to bring it closer. When youre making moving plans around a certain size trailer, its very difficult to suddenly change and to spend 4+ hours driving just to pick it up. I will never be booking with Uhaul again.

Nightmare. They did not assign a trailer to us, but had our confirmation number so there was no trailer we could pick up as it was given to someone else. We made our reservation 2 weeks in advance. They then found us a trailer at another store but promised a $50 credit to which was not held up. Not sure how Im going to move out today before 5pm. Go to Home Depot and use their trailers.

There are 16 people in line. I have been here for 20 min. There is one customer service person and one truck person working on a Saturday. Ive never had to wait this long for a truck
