I chose Peterson Dean because I wanted Solar and a new roof. I did not want to split up those jobs.. and I am happy I did. They did not skimp on crew so I can understand too far for too small.. they came back for follow up on all my concerns. they are not cheap but you can count on the job being handled as well as your Power company will let them. I did have some dry rot discovered after stripping roof.. I was having them plate whole roof, so they could have let it go.. GLAD they did not, i chose to have them fix that issue and I signed off on reasonable added expense, because I like things done right. I built houses for a living at one point. There is getting the job done, then there is getting it done right. they did not fool around. Id never approach them with less than whole roof. If any part of your roof is failing.. then the rest is not far behind. Unfortunate but true, and whats wrong with waving the American flag?? .. dont let the door hit your backside as you leave. After getting estimates from several of the lease type companies and looking into do-it-yourself kits. I decided that I would be foolish to lease and while DIY kits are by far the least expensive cost wise I did not have the knowledge or experience to do it. I contacted PetersenDean after seeing a TV commercial. Everything was laid out by the sales staff and the cost was right where I expected it to be, based on my research, for the size of project I had in mind. Except for the engineer being changed out in the middle of things causing some communication issues and a cost mix up everything else was great! I have had my system online now for 3 months and I am very happy with my power bill vs. solar costs. If you are paying more than $150 a month on average for your electric bill then you might want to call these folks, I am glad I did.

This is how a contractor should be. Set a price, do the job right the first time, on time, and then get paid. That simple, and that was my experience with Petersen Dean. No stereotypical contractor delays or request for further services and payment. Seriously hard to find fault here. They did forget to bring a part on the first install day, making it a two day process, but the place was clean between both days, and I would not have known it was an issue if they did not mention it. I got a 6.5 kw system, and it is producing better than I anticipated for the past 2 months. On track to paying off the system in 6 years, and its all free from then on.

Im critical when it comes to contractors. However, I cant say enough about the experience weve had with Petersen Dean, from start to finish, on our solar installation. I recommend them to anyone considering solar. They provided the perfect solution for us, one that other companies hadnt even proposed. Petersen Dean has demonstrated integrity, excellent communication and execution that surpassed our expectations. Everything was right on schedule. Some of the most refreshing customer service weve experienced in years... not a weak link in their chain.

Just installed a 9.7kw system last week. Havent got our PG&E connection yet but to this point I am very impressed w/ the PetersenDean company. From the initial, no BS contact through the professional installation, I am very happy to this point. For the quality system they quoted and installed, no one else could match their price. I did an internet search on all the components they use and every one is top of the line.

Dont understand why , but i cant locate my previous review so heres an update on my roof.....Roof is done and looks awesome and I cant say enough about the professionalism of the team that handled the job. Courteous, informative, prompt and left the construction clean as a whistle when they finished the job! Cant wait for phase 2 with the installatiion of my solar. I called about replacing the roof on my porch. Having heard their commercials, I was VERY ENTHUSIASTIC about calling them. Alas, the young lady on the line essentially told me that they dont repair partial roofs. I AM TOO SMALL A JOB FOR THEM. So that was VERY DISAPPOINTING to hear that. I have had a lot of work done on my home by contractors. The thing that stood out about Petersen Dean was their professionalism and they kept me abreast of every step of the way on the project. They came when they said they would come, explained what they were doing and were true to their timetable. This is rare in my experience with contractors.
