Update - despite it being ~5 years later, they honored their guarantee and fixed the damages without charge. Updated star recommendations to reflect this. ********* Back in 2003 I had Santa Cruz Autobody fix a small dent in the front right fender of my car. The repairs looked fine at first. The autobody shopped charged me about $500, and claimed to have replaced the fender entirely. However within a year, the paint begin to look strange. First a small spot faded and started to bubble up. It looked like putty that was becoming rough instead of smooth paint. Over the years the spot spread and now there is a blotch of splotchy, faded paint about 2 feet in diameter, right where the dent had been on the front right fender. I hate dealing with car repairs, getting a rental car, taking time off from work to arrange, so I kept putting off dealing with this. It is now 5 years later, and due to yet another car repair issue, I am finally dealing with this matter. My insurance company, Mercury, guarantees for lifetime all work done through its recommended vendors, so I am confident that Santa Cruz Autobody will take responsibility. Updates will be coming soon, based on work done and cooperation of the vendor.

Being new to the area, I bumped my car into one of the humpy annoying curbs in the Santa Cruz area (my car is designed low), seriously scraping the right front. Estimates I received were outrageous.However the Santa Cruz Auto Body people were gracious and fixed the problem for minimal cost, and quickly. They were friendly, efficient and fast.

Mike was my mechanic and he went above and beyond in helping me out. Originally, I went to an autbody shop adjacent to Santa Cruz Autobody and they gave me an outrageous quote for changing my oil and running a computer diagnostic. Keep life simple- see Mike if you want an honest and affordable mechanic that will get the job done.

Extended the completion date 5 times car was in the shop 2 1/2 times longer than originally quoted and on top of all that when I picked up my car the breaks were completely gone and nobody in the shop would take responsibility Dont go here its a headache

In a capitalist world its rare to get a free service, but Santa Cruz Auto Body actually reattached my vans bumper and fixed one of the headlights for me free of charge. Thank you, Teague, for your generosity.

The older lady in the back desk has rude customer service skills. Also, out of three other local body shops Santa Cruz Auto Body was much more expensive than any other estimate I received!
