We spent a fair amount of time researching solar energy and quite a few solar companies. We used Solar Sonoma Co Clean Energy Advocate program. Geoff at SSCEA was supportive and helpful. Based on our needs he gave us three local vendors who used local and US made products to choose from We ended up narrowing it down to two local solar companies. Both were very helpful with answering all of my questions. When it came down to it, we choose a company that made themselves accessible and honest. In the end we went with Synergy. Not only is Jeff incredibly knowledgeable, about all things Solar, he is the owner not a Sales Person working on commission. Furthermore Jeff is highly involved with solar energy in both the county and the state. We liked their methodology and product set they used. Mike is the other owner and in charge of the installation process itself. He too is knowledgeable, professional, EXTREMELY responsive! In addition, they were willing to work with us to get the best layout of the solar panels as well as the power panel change we needed. Chaz and Micheal did a professional install which was clean and the panel placement on our roof was not tacky looking at all! Furthermore the work they did with the electric panel replacement was TOP NOTCH. During the install they were not instursive to our family and kept us informed from start to finish! Without a doubt, I would recommend Synergy to anyone thinking about solar.

Synergy Solar recently installed a system in our home, and we couldnt be more satisfied with our choice of company. Although we planned to get more than one estimate, we were so impressed by co-owner Jeff Mathiass initial presentation that we saw no need to look further. Some of the factors that sold us immediately on this company: they are a local business, they use the same very competent crew for all of their jobs, they purchase solar panels made in the U.S., and they consider esthetics as well as functionality when designing a system. At every stage of our job, steps were clearly explained, the owners were incredibly responsive to our questions, and co-owner and electrician Mike led an outstanding installation crew. All of the details were handled in a timely manner, including city approvals and permits, communications with PG&E to switch our metering and system accounting, and establishing an account in our name to monitor the solar production. There was never a question that Jeff and Mike had not already anticipated on our behalf, and answered patiently and thoroughly. We cant imagine any solar company providing better service than Synergy, and recommend them very highly!

Synergy is a really well run and long-time established local business. I used SCEIP and was hand held by Michelle through that process. Michael, Chas, and Marvin did really clean, quality work. There is a certain look to well planned and executed projects like this and this is CLEAN and PROFESSIONAL. Jeff, who bid the job, met or exceeded all aspects of the contract. New install so cant quite speak to reliability and I am confident if any issues arise Synergy will deliver. David
