After many years with my previous mechanic/shop, I switched to Alan Rice Automotive. My previous mechanic specialized in European cars. I wasnt sure if a more "general" mechanic, who worked on all types of vehicles, would be as good, but Alan has been GREAT! He has accurately diagnosed every problem the car has had, and fixed it quickly - providing me with a clear explanation as to what needed to be done and why. I have great confidence in his skills and honest assessment of whats happening with my car. I trust him and appreciate his soft-spoken demeanor. And, added to both these important qualities, his prices are very affordable (which is why I left my previous mechanic - I couldnt afford him anymore). Id recommend Alan to anyone looking for a good, reliable place to take their car.

Alan has done amazing work for me and a real value for what he has done. His work is consistently excellent. He seems to always be busy and I have noted some pretty nice classics being entrusted to his care. So, apparently he is quite an expert on older cars as well as new ones, which is something harder to find today. He always explains what he is doing and why he did the repair I dont think I have ever trusted a mechanic as much or been as pleased with the work as with his shop. Highly recommended

I brought my car in for a check up this time and it went pretty quick and affordably. I am a huge fan of Alan Rice Automotive ever since they fixed my car the last time it was acting up, after other mechanics werent able to diagnose the problem, Alan was able to get to the bottom of it. And also got my fairly clean-emission car with a check engine light challenge to pass smog. I always appreciate A.R.A.s expertise and persistence to fix my car!!

My car received a big dent while in his shop. The repair i took the car in for was not performed even though I was charged . I believe his daughters friend was the mechanic that worked on my car. When I took the car back couple days later Allen told me the reason for bad service is that "my employee doesnt have very good attention to detail? and made no effort to remedy the problem. Very bad experience, would never go there again.
