If you dont have the plus membership, GET IT! Fortunately I upgraded per a mailer promotion they sent me, prior to a cross country road trip I am currently on. I have driven up through Northern California up and beyond north into Florence, Oregon. From there I headed east though Eugene and beyond through Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and now currently in Kansas heading south and then east again further. My Infiniti G35 (used) a 2006 has been incredible through dirt roads (Red Feathers Lakes are beautiful in Colorado) and snow, sleet and heavy rain and wind across the country. But I have run out of gas or near enough to not risk engine damage and call for the emergency fuel that comes with the service in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado. Its not that I have been doing it on purpose but on this trip its what Im calling an Empathy Tour where if I find areas or people in need I head there and help. And often that has taken me out of the way and off the beaten trail. Each time that states respective AAA was fast, very polite and friendly and added anywhere from 2 gallon to 5 depending on distance to the next gas station. In Red Feathers Lake Colorado the driver drove 50 miles from Fort Collins up into the hills to get me then asked if I wanted to follow him back down the hill as the snow was really coming down. I could tell he wanted to go faster but kept a slower pace for me. His name was James and I sincerely appreciate his help and compassion. He wants to move to California at which I tried to discourage him. Not because of the AAA offices but in general the businesses are not the best in customer service anymore in comparison to what Ive experienced in other states on this trip. Step it up California vendors to AAA or maybe get into work you actually enjoy. Over all I highly recommend AAA not just for the basic device but this PLUS is far beyond I expected from the promotion and will gladly re-up on a continuing and mostly lifelong membership save for my time abroad. The only thing I would suggest to AAAs CEO or President is to calm down with the life insurance mailers. Big expensive envelopes as a promo mailer that I have since 6 times ignored is a waste where that money could go more into infrastructure and salary or benefits raises rather than wasted promos for more member sales. Other than that, good on ya for leading a great company.

Hazel is the WORST, most unprofessional insurance agent my family and I have ever had to deal with. She did not listen to my grandparents at all, was very dodgy when giving prices about including me on the insurance policy, "a lot" is not a price! When trying to explain to her that she made a mistake about excluding me from the policy she completely lost her composure and would not let me get a word in to explain. We have never had a bad experience with any other agent from different insurance companies. I cannot express how disappointed we are with the treatment weve received from her. Im currently on hold to speak to her supervisor and its been about 15 minutes. Very unprofessional and Im in disbelief that this she even made as far as to be an agent. If you cant listen to your clients needs and provide accordingly then maybe youre in the wrong profession. We are definitely looking for a different insurance company as of today.

AAA is in the business of solving problems. And there seems to be at least one in every city. I stopped in here because I had other business in Thousand Oaks, and to my surprise there were two employees I knew from a branch in Camarillo! I was able to get document notorized, car insurance issue solved which invloved multiple drivers and multiple cars, and take care of a DMV issue. This last one was the biggest, and included a 5 minute phone call to DMV, which would have taken me hours!!! This is why we pay them the big bucks~ With all of that, I was in and out in less than an hour. Worth every penny!

I was told on April 13th when I cancelled my insurance coverage I was going to have a 200 dollar pro-rated check sent to me, however when I called today the salesperson said that my insurance wasnt paid for January, which is impossible because they not only would have cancelled my coverage, but that would mean I wasnt paid for February or March, which at the time of cancellation my account was CURRENT. BE SUPER CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS INSURANCE TEAM.

Disclaimer; unlike others, my review is based on this facility...not AAA as a whole, or one specific agent. I have had a great experience every time I go to this office. The staff is friendly and well knowledged when it comes to DMV and travel requests. Ive registered two cars and booked a cruise with them over the past 3 months. Each time my wait was short and the individuals went above and beyond with respect to customer service.

I have to say AAA has great car insurance but their travel agents are the worse. I have never had such a bad experience with a travel agency in my life. I dealt with several of their agents and each one was worse than the other!!!!

Have to get a reimbursement from AAA-ERS A-321 in Santa Ana for a tow. Three calls and two e-mails later, cant even get an answer. Now they have the reimbursement app + the original tow invoice. Poor Service for sure.
