I used U-boxes for my move and I had a number of problems with the overall experience: CONS: 1) Some difficulty trying to speak with someone at the location office, kept getting redirected to a phone center, was told multiple times that I would receive a call back but never did. The only way I ever got a hold of someone was by calling back over and over again. 2) I specifically stated when I made my reservation that I needed a weight ticket done for reimbursement from my employer for the move. While the goods were weighed by some unspecified method, no weight ticket was furnished, so once I caught this prior to delivery, I had to do the self-delivery option in order to personally do the weights at a local truck scale, drop off each box and unpack them individually, which cost me a significant amount of time with all the driving back and forth to the U-haul store. It could have cost me much more had I not checked for this prior to delivery, because without my weight ticket I would not have been able to be reimbursed for the move. 3) When I informed the office manager at the destination office of this mistake, he stated that I would receive a call from the representative from the location where I made the initial reservation, so they could respond to my complaint. I was never contacted. 4) This service took longer and was more expensive than other options I looked into. The only reason I was forced to use this service over the others was the lack of equipment availability for the other services on such short notice. 5) I do wish there had been some way for me to predict when the shipment would arrive. I kept calling while it was en route and the representatives could never specify the location of my U-boxes and they were always confused about what day they were shipped and when they would be expected to arrive, making it difficult for me to plan when to be available. I will highlight the pros, though: 1) The worker who dropped off my empty U-boxes and picked them up once they were packed was very punctual, pleasant, accomodating of my schedule changes and extremely skilled at maneuvering it into an awkward space that made it easy for me to load them. 2) I felt that all the representatives both on the phone and in person were very attentive, pleasant and as helpful as they could be, given the limitations of their system. They were very patient in explaining all the details of the service throughout the entire process. Because everything worked out in the end, I will not say that the service was poor, but I would advise anyone using this service to look into other professional moving services first. Also, if you need a weight ticket, make sure the representative who coordinates the reservation understands what exactly you require.

I have two storage units there and recently moved and used uhaul for my moving supplies, truck and. For advice. I never had a problem getting a truck or keeping it longer than originally rented. All I had to do was call and let them know. Because my move took.way longer than expected I had to rent trucks numerous times. The entire staff was helpful, supportive and more than accommodating. Never were they rude. They get extremely busy. So if your impatient, rude or pushy or if you do what o witnessed numerous times, say you rented a truck but really diidnt, then ya like anyone in customer service Im sure a rep may have got annoyed. Never do I believe they yelled or tried to talk over You. None of the staff At the Monte Vista store especially the manager Desirre is like that. Im not related to anyone who works there or friends with anyone. Im just a new customer extremely happy with their product and service. Keep doing what your doing. You do a Great job guys!

Id give them 5 stars but the sales people were rude. I needed a storage unit and found uhaul had the best deal in town. The units were clean, secure, and managed properly but as I sad the sales people were rude! One example I asked the sizes of the storage units. They told me two prices for the one I wanted. When I said I didnt need the high ceiling the woman seemed to get angry and said "I dont think you understand..." In the most condescending way imaginable. When I explained that I was just storing a futon, a fish tank and a few other items she tried to talk over me until she actually scolded me and said "let me speak!" She was so upset when I let her go on and on then still said "No, I dont need that."

Cheaper with better equipment and vehicles than any other self moving truck rentals in the Vacaville/Fairfield Area. Very flexible and helpful. I personally recommend all local military members doing a DITY to use this location, especially for separations. Stuck waiting for an advance? They understand and will hold your reservation and push it out as need be to help you get what you need. Dont waste your time calling the 1800 center or online, go directly to this location in person for the best results.

I called to schedule an appointment to install the wiring for my tow hitch. The call center double booked me the first time so I had to reschedule my appointment. I took my afternoon off work to take my car in because they didnt have any weekend appointments. I showed up early to my second appointment to find out that I had been double booked again and they could not see my that day and that the next available appointment would be for another week.
