(Mover: M. Vass) Moved from Ca to Oklahoma. The initial contact & quote process was great. The owner comes out to write the quote. He is very pleasant & a great person. Packing day came, and it also went very well. All the packers very professional and friendly. BUT THEN CAME THE DELIVERY (ominous music)........... Come to find out that they subcontract the unpacking process out to local "movers". The same people that took care during the packing process doesnt meet you at your deluvery. I put quotes around movers because the people that show up freely make statements like, "we havent done this before, but well figure it out", or "Didnt know we were gonna have to deal with this. Lets hope for the best..." I didnt think that after paying thousands of dollars and entrusting my memories to professionals I was going to have to "hope for the best." These people they subcontract to have NO people skills snd are not professional. They show up to the job wanting to make as much money as they can in the shortest amount of time. They arent there for the customer, but only for their bank account. They dont know the definition of responsibility, professionalism, rudeness, taking advantage of others, thinking that they are entitle to much more than they are, treating the customer less than a human being. They think these negative qualities are normal; or maybe they flat-out dont care. I am physically disabled and was depending on the professionalism of the FULL process. I was putting my faith in the fact that what they took from my home in California would end up in my home in Oklahoma in the same condition. Is this too much to expect? This is supposedly what we as movers are paying for? Those of us who have the need to move experience a very difficult & frustrating time. It is our goal to find professionals that will be there for us. As we educate ourselves on "moving tips". Should we feel guilty when applying these during the process? Im disabled @ on Social Security. What money I do have is precious. I dont have many items to my name, but what I DO have is mine. I was shocked & horrified (which negatively affected my health & my familys concern for me). By how I was literally laughed at... a joke...funny...to the movers on the receiving end. I was made to feel small, worthless, and someone to be laughed at my these "professionals." I was shocked that when personal comments were made about me, there was no attempt to hide this from me. They wanted to make sure I heard. We learn before a move to video/take pictures of things that are broken before our eyes. We learn to label boxes that are fragile and/or contain glass so they would be packed correctly. Instead, all of this additional work and care that we put in on the front end are dismissed during unpacking. As long as you dont question their unpacking methods, as long as we dont take pictures, as long as we dont ask for help, we as the customer and our memories will be handled in a minimally decent manner. If you open your mouth to question their unpacking process you are called names, belittled, while furniture, antiques and boxes are literally THROWN into rooms. We pay thousands of dollars for a move (that may take us years to save), and this is all were worth? It is recommended we have insurance high is desperately needed after the move. Once Camelot finds out there are problems and claims to be made, they will speak with you once or twice, then you never hear from anyone from company ever again. Today, 7-months after my move is STILL literally have dozens of boxes still unopened as they were placed by the movers; waiting for an insurance adjuster to view fragile boxes containing flat screen tvs under piles of 5-6 boxes of heavy books. Antique radios that were perfect when they went on the truck arriving and thrown in pieces in my garage. After ALL THIS TIME I am still unable to play my baby grand piano because it still sits as delivered--in pieces, with scratches and dents in my living room. Its completely unplayable. BE CAREFUL!

You think you can do all the research to pick the best company to protect your things during a move and it hurts when the research turns out to be so very wrong. Our family heard all the horror stories about bad movers and we really did not want to be one of those stories. My family moved from California to Ohio and did quite a bit of research to pick the right mover. After much due diligence, Camelot Movers seemed like the right choice for us. They claim to be “a family owned company”, “with their own employees” and “they take great care of your stuff”. At least that is what the owner told us when he came out to quote our move. I believed it, but boy was I wrong. We paid a large sum of money (over 15k) to have our home goods moved. We were appalled to see that, by the time our items got to Ohio, that most of our furniture pieces were damaged. We had only been in our previous location for two years before the move and purchased most of the furniture new to go in that house. Our furniture was quality, but it would be hard to call it such any more as most of it is damaged. Camelot dented our very nice stainless steel refrigerator, completely destroyed a nice bookcase with a crack going all the way through the bottom, Sharpie on my new light grey couch and they claimed no responsibility for it, cracked our master bed frame, destroyed collectors items doll boxes we asked them to take special care with which they also claimed no responsibility for, damaged my grandmother’s sewing machine cabinet that I said was the most important thing in the house to me, and the list goes on. Many of our tables and another bookcase looked like they were dragging them around. We even bought extra insurance for the move and after wasting over three months for their claims department to respond to our claims, they gave us a laughable amount to “fix” our furniture. It was so low I wont even print it. Needless to say, I am so disappointed with their company and we hope this review makes others think twice before using them. They sell you a good story in the beginning, but it just isn’t true. Buyer beware!

We all know moving is not a lot of fun… but Camelot certainly made it easier! From the initial consultation to watching the truck drive away after the move – they were a pleasure to work with! Everything was carefully packed, organized, labeled, stored, and moved into place in each room – they were incredible! During the move, one of the packers found some money and returned it to us – so honest and trustworthy! When the truck arrived at our new home, they took their time, helped us open boxes to determine where they needed to go, and helped assemble the house back into a livable space. The guys were polite, conscientious, attentive and took great care with all of our belongings. They all constantly communicated with each other, and us, and worked together as a well functioning team. They accommodated our schedules with escrows on both the selling and buying ends, and were flexible with the schedule when needed. Most importantly - We had boxes of very fragile antique china and crystal, that were all packed by Camelot for the move. There was no damage to any these pieces! A HUGE thank you to Shawn, Kamar, Junior, Trevor and Coby, and Billy and Rebekah for all of their help during this process and for making it so much easier for our family. Camelot went above and beyond our expectations and we truly enjoyed working with the company!
