Unfortunately, none of the Postal managers will read these reviews. For over 20 years Postal employees have been the example of rude, mean, disrespectful, lazy slackers who hate their jobs and dont care, because they cant get fired. Its funny because the rest of us, like me, work jobs with managers treating us like slaves, worried we might get in trouble or fired, respecting & serving difficult customers, or they might report us. Funny how other people can slack off & have a bad attitude, not worried because they have a secure government job with the best benefits and more paid national holidays in 1 year than most peoples entire vacation days.

Is it just a trend that none of your local offices answer the phone or do you all just take lunch in the last two hours of your shift? I called 10+ times to this station and the next closest one in Santa Monica and neither of those offices answer the damn phone. My call would have taken literally less than 5 minutes to ascertain the whereabouts of a package. Clearly this is to much work for them to pick up a phone so why would I assume that they could deliver a package on time? They sure do know how to scan a package and not deliver it though. A+ government work from these stations (that was sarcasm in case they dont understand that either)

Super dishonest people. My wife had an oversize envelope. She went up to the counter and the Asian female post office employee weighed it. The employee said it would be $11.14 to send it regular mail. "$11.14?!" my wife asked, incredulously. "$11.14" the woman confirmed. My wife handed her a twenty and the employee have her $8.86 back in change. When she got home, she looked at the receipt. It said $1.14. The employee purposefully overcharged my wife and then pocketed the difference. This place is unfriendly, unmanaged and has at least one thief hard at work. Beware.

I dont even live in Venice, I dont even know where their post office is located, the never answer their phone, but the tracking number says it is there and ready for pickup. Why it is there and ready for pickup is unbeknownst to me, but I wish the would continue my package on its way to the correct city and post office. If anyone it the post office is reading this review, please keep my package on the correct path to my city and to my correct post office, so it can be delivered or I can pick it up at my post office, and not some out of city Venice post office.

Im only writing this review because I saw that the one review that comes up reads "possibly the worst post office in america." I cant imagine who wrote that. Its not like there are post offices that I want to take a date or get married, its a post office. It has windows. The shelves around the outside have some discarded paper, that Im sure gets picked up at the end of the day. The service is adequate, but its nice to have a book or a cell phone game to play while you wait. Most of the pens attached to chains at the front usually work.

We moved from the beautiful Marina del ray and made the necessary change of address, to be effective 6/30th, however to this date our mail is being sent to the old address. 8-13-2010 We have to travel 2 hours each way to pick up our mail and this is after calling 7 times, spoking twice with supervisor miss. Harris in person. I dont know what do we have to do to get our mail? We have to drive this weekend again to Marina to pick up our mail, which is still being delivered to our old address. Without doubt the worst service ever.

This postal service is the worst managed office I have ever had to deal with. Instead of my packages being delivered to the leasing office they will leave them unattended at the mail box. Ive had two packages stolen because of this. When I called the postal office the Melanie was rude and didnt want to give me the so called upped management information who according to her made the decision to tell her carrier drivers to just leave it on the ground by the mail boxes. I will be also filing a complaint with the postal inspector!

I live in Marina Del Rey....On a regular basis, I receive other peoples mail NOT even associated with my building address!!! In the last 2-weeks, Ive mailed out 3 letters to Santa Monica & Beverly Hills which they never got! Im now on the phone calling this post office (its been ringing for over 8-minutes now) and NO ONE answering!!! Disgraceful! And then, these guys will complain they are out of work!!! Ive given them ONE star because the phone actually has a ringtone!!!!!

Lee was very rude today. Lee tried her best to callously rush me out, while refusing to search for a lost package. I was clearly wasting her time! Lee pointed out how long the line was, as if I didnt just wait thirteen minutes in that line. Theyre understaffed. The supervisor, an African-American lady whose name I didnt catch, was very friendly and helpful. Thank you, supervisor. By the way, the wait time to speak to anybody by phone is always over an hour.

Same review as every other one. Said my package was delivered on friday...and nothing. Tried to call the (Venice) post office, nothing, they just let it ring. So I had to drive up there to see what was going on. Got there, had to wait about 20 minutes for the supervisor (who didnt show up). So they gave me their annex number was put me on hold for about 30 minutes got tired of waiting. employees were nice, only pleasant thing about my USPS experience

I like this Venice post office and the employees. They are honest, Some employees are not. They try hard, some employees dont give a.... hoot. The spirit of Venice survives here. If you dont like it, try the Santa Monica P.O on Pacific and Ashland if you want to exalt agitation to a new level. That Post Office, ranks as the most terrible Ive ever been to, consistently. From the staff, to the service. to the honor.

Sometimes they do not even have stamps. there are homeless around and in the post office. People working there dont care and are not polite except one man. They are dirty. USPS should be privatized and everyone should re apply for their job. Canada did that. Look at a post office in Canada and see for yourself. Before, post offices there we dumps. Now they have lots of nice things for people.

The package was not delivered into my mail box and missing. Mail woman was very uncooperative. She proud of herself that she left the package at somewhere around the mail box. She could not listen. She even said she does not care. This office never pick up the phone. Very bad mannered delivery woman who is very uncooperative and even cant have proper conversation with this person.

If I could give ZERO I would. Worst place EVER. No Customer service! Every package that is in a box is NOT delivered..LAZY Mail person wont carry it to us from the truck to our business. Can not seem to ring a bell. Its Venice you do not leave things on the street or at the neighbors. Seems to never get us the mail without a big ordeal. Is that not the main part of your job.
