$800.00 tune up: (Be careful with these guys, they will try & rip you off). Brought the vehicle in for a tune up. I suggested the O2 sensor was bad and was curious if I had a vacuum leak. $165.00 - just to hook up the diagnostic machine - little high but I needed to know if I had a vacuum leak. $270 - to replace the O2 sensor. $365 - to replace 6 spark plugs. ~$10 each plug, so $300 labor for that. TOTAL $800.00 (All I can say is, wow!) They claimed I had a worn SERPENTINE BELT and that it would cost me 1 hour labor to replace it (so, $165 labor+$50 for the belt = $215). Well Ive replaced that belt, and it took me only 10 min. and Im not even a mechanic. And I could have done it in 5 min, if I had not had to spent the first 5 min figuring out how to turn the tensioner. So, I told him to leave the belt alone, several times! Later, when I looked at the belt, it was in perfect condition! They told me the brake pads were worn, but that the rotors were too warn to machine, so the rotors would have to be replaced (ha-you know they would charge at least $250 per rotor!), which is odd since those rotors had never been turned before. Told him not to worry about the brakes! (They are fine BTW ). There were some other things they wanted to do - all over priced of course. I had to argue way too much with the guy on the phone about it. He clearly thought he could rip me off though, until i called him out on it. Oh yeah,...they checked the tire pressure - lol...like I needed that. Is that really a selling point to anyone but a complete moron??

I was visiting from out of town and my Mazda Tribute started to die on my on the drive up. By the time we arrived to Walnut Creek the Check Engine Light was on. Rosebery Car Care was one of the only shops that was open the day after Thanksgiving. They inspected my car and knowing that I could not stay in town for an extended period they overnight shipped all the parts my car needed so that I could be on the road by the end of the next day. I appreciated the shops consideration of my needs as well as the time and attention they gave me. Although I will likely never see them again because of great distance between us I still left with the feeling that I was just as important and appreciated as one of their regular customers.

Last year I had airbag problem on my Toyota Avalon (the airbag light is on). I took the car Rosebery, thinking they might be good car care shop. They took a look of the car and found there is sth. wrong with the airbag system (expected though) however they said they could not fix it since they dont have the licensed airbag technician. Well, they still charged by $150 for the diagnosis and suggested me take it to dealer to fix. How come I should pay the money if they could not fix it? I eventually took the car to dealer and got it fixed. But the charge is really bad practice if they could not fix it and they should be upfront about it.

My battery died yesterday while at work - always an inconvenient time since I am in sales. I called the Walnut Creek location and spoke with Stephanie to see if I could get a new battery. I was thrilled to walk in, get service with a smile from Steve without any waiting and purchase the same brand of battery I already had. And to boot Steve did a check on my alternator and generator so I was assured it was just the battery. Filled my tires too. I was out of there in less time than a lunch break - at a very reasonable price. Roesbery has a new customer with me!

Great Service! The owner Mike was very nice and honest with me about my car. I am from out of town and my car broke down. They got me back on the road fast at a reasonable price.
