i absolutely hate the way George attempts to scam people. People would go in for an oil change then he would try to say there were "other problems" amounting to hundreds and even thousands of dollars. If he notices you have a thick accent, have trouble speaking english or youre elderly, he will try to take advantage. I saw him try to charge an elderly mexican couple about 600 dollars for 2 tires for a small honda. They walked out quickly because they noticed his little game and just left. Ive seen him do the same thing to an old asian man who spoke broken english, and a middle aged indian woman as well. I didnt know skin tone/ethnicity/age was a factor in determining how much one should be charged. He purposely includes other service fees without providing receipts hoping you trust him because hes a "mechanic". This man knows nothing on how the electrical things work on your car, he said so himself that theres things he doesnt know how to do, yet he plays it off with other customers as if he does. He also mistreats his workers when he gets tired of them, making them feel uncomfortable or insulting them in a subtle way with the intentions to make them quit so he doesnt have to pay for unemployment. That is a form of harrassment. This man is a scam artist and possibly a racist. I would advise you to not go anywhere near this shop or even think about getting anything fixed here unless you enjoy overpaying for things and would like to support and feed a scam artists family. Youre better off taking your car to a monkey with a hammer. Please do not support this business!

I went in to get a diagnostic completed. I was quoted a price of $90 to diagnose a problem I was having with my car. Engine light was coming on. Chris (the owner) gave me this quote, and my assumption was he would diagnose the problem for this price. Chris failed to tell me that if the problem was not isolated, it would cost another $100-$200 to do further diagnosis. This info should have been stated upfront. So of course, he couldnt find the problem and I was out $90. I ended up going to a BP gas station on Thornton Ave., in Newark, and they were able to diagnose the problem in 40 minutes. They were upfront with me, and provided great service. I wish that Chris at Goodyear could have done the same. If he had, he would still have me as a customer. I have been going to Goodyear for well over 20 years, as many of my members have. However, as a result of being treated like this, all of us will no longer do business with Goodyear. A little customer service would have went along way in this case, but now Goodyear is out a good chunk of business. Customer service really counts!!

Manipulative and dishonest person. George is the most dishonest and selfish person ever. I went to George to fix a flat tire, George said the tires would need to be replaced and gave me an estimate of $750 for replacing all four tires. It felt very strange since I got brand new tires just couple months ago. He insisted I should change for safety reasons. Since I didnt get a good feeling, I said I want to show the car to some other shop and requested him to fill air in the flat tire so I could drive across the street to different shop, to which he said he will not fill the air. This was the most horrible experience ever. Iuckily had temp air pump in my car so I was able to fill air. I drove across the street to Big O tires, they took a look and said it would be completely safe to fix the flat tire. I paid them $25 and got it fixed. George is basically a liar who just cares about earning money and nothing else. Please do yourself a favor and dont ever visit this place.

TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!! Stay away from GEORGE and his salesman they jack up all the prices on parts like we cant call the auto parts store and check prices ??? And all there work is questionable ! I would stay away completly there is two other repair shops really close where you are better off trying your chances Big O Tires is ok and theres a wheel works on the corner of cedar and Newark blvd .This place is,a complete waste of time on top of that they might make your car have a worse problem than it did before really disapointed with this place. Im so glad I went to another repair shop for a second opinion BEFORE listening to GEORGES reccomemdation !!!!!!saved over $1500 !!!!!

I own a BMW 740il with 249K miles on it. An internal casing broke and after considering various options with George the service owner I decided to replace the engine. As an older and complex engine, this was not going to be an easy replacement project. Im pleased to report that George and his Master mechanics did an outstanding job. I cant speak highly enough about their technical understanding and capabilities. They kept me informed throughout the project, and made detailed recommendations regarding other components that needed either servicing or replacement. Its a happy ending! I am once again the proud owner of my dream machine. This is clearly a can-do shop!

Avoid this place with a passion. They make you feel like you have a serious problem and drastically overprice estimates for work that is questionable. I was quoted 3 different prices with and without tax, "all in" before theyd even logged on to a computer. I was told my axle was falling out, transmission is probably damaged and needs replacing - when in fact a seal was corroded. All I wanted was an oil change. I took the car without any repairs and they advised me to get it towed. I drove it to my dealership who told me it 100% is safe to drive, has a small leak where the seal is corroded and needs a new seal. Unbelievable
