I just wrote a review at Yelp for their service and Im very satisfied that I feel they deserve to have many positive reviews as possible because theyre work is phenomenal! I’m so glad this place was recommended. The shop is family owned and operated and they’re very friendly, honest, and hardworking. Alex is so meticulous that not only he tediously troubleshooted to get to the root of the problem and repaired it, he also checked all corners of the car and reasonably pointed out his concerns. This shop is actually the third stop for my sisters car repair, the second time around was at the Toyota service department, which turned out to be another disappointment. Toyota is supposed to have that "credibility" but its personnel wasn’t even able to fix the car after spending hundreds of dollars. Performance Auto Works fully repaired the car at a fraction of the cost! There are good mechanics but there are a few ones that treat their trade as an art with passion: it was the impression I got from this place. They bring the auto repair service to another level - HANDS DOWN! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Had a Mercury Mountaineer with weird ass problems, one being finally diagnosed by an exhaustive test performed by the district Ford service center, and was so rare my truck was just the 2nd such problem seen in this service district in a decade. I commend Bobby, the owner of Performance Auto Works, not for solving the problem, which he tried tenaciously, but how he personally concierged my truck thru the process of getting dealership intervention. I didnt have to go to the Pittsburg location and re-explain everything, Bobby acted as my representative and took care of the situation himself. That is first rate customer service. And he even rebated costs I already owed him on select repairs he did that were redundant or unnecessary to the final fix. That is professionalism. Now, this great repair shop hasnt seen me in a while, but only do to lack of need. That troubled Mountaineer was sold, and got myself a new set of problems still unforseen, a Jaguar. I hope Performance Auto Works repairs Jaguars, Id hate to lose this shop as my go-to mechanic. We will see soon enough.

Truly the best service I have ever had. This is a family owned shop and they never try to sand bag you with extra repairs. I bring all my service here and they have often recomended that I do things on my own. It is this honesty that brings me back. The best part is that even for a simple oil change they do a thorough inspection of the vehicle. They have found leaks, nails in my tires, in one case a severe mis-allignment problem. Their prices are more than fair, the only oil changes I have found cheaper are ones done by myself or a dealer promotion. 100% Recomendation.

Great friendly service. Family owned. They looked rather busy but Bobby was able to squeeze my simple headlight problem in (trouble shot, found, & repaired ) in half a day which was great. I knew it would be an easy fix I just wasnt sure if a shop could get it completed in a day but Bobby did. Thanks. for comparison based on the bill and the time actually spent on the truck they charge about $95.00 an hour for labor which is about right and on the low end of the average going rate in the Bay Area.

I was in the Martinez area and needed my car serviced. I stopped by Performance Autoworks and I can honestly say I have NEVER received such great customer service! I am always skeptical about trusting auto mechanics because I have been ripped off in the past. But, Performance Autoworks is a family owned and operated business. They not only gave me a GREAT deal, but they really knew what they are talking about. Now, any time I need an oil change, service, etc. I ALWAYS go to Performance Autoworks!

Performance Autoworks really is as good as it gets! Their customer service, honesty, and integrity are incredible. Prices are unbeatable too!!! They really do make you feel at home and get you in an out in no time. I just found out that they are a "green" business too!
