If I could give zero stars I would. This place had great reviews and I wanted to support a local shop. My car was overheating and smoking so I took it here. They gave me a new timing cover gasket and charged me $800 to replace it. There were several days where they told me they would call me and never did, I always had to call them to see what was going on. I left and my car was jolting (RPMs going up and down). My timing was off and my car died on the way to work so I took it back, clearly a mistake they had made. They told me it had nothing to do with what they did and it was electrical and they couldnt get the car to give them any problems. (How do you know it has nothing to do with what you did if you cant duplicate the problem?) I picked it up and literally on the way home a ton of lights are flashing on my dash. Service ABS system, traction control not working, my gas light came on even though there was plenty of gas in the car, etc. (you were just driving my car around and these things didnt happen but right when I leave they do?!) I took it back again and they told me they have no idea whats wrong with it and I should take it to the dealership. Every time I leave something else is wrong with my car and when I take it back they cant fix it. I cannot stress enough that you should avoid this place at all costs!! A family friend is a mechanic and I took it to him and he noticed that they broke a clip under my hood, left several things unlatched, and caught one of the guys here in a few lies as to things he touched when working on my car! I am SO disappointed and refuse to ever recommend this place to anyone or give this place any more business.

A nice affordable auto repair shop in downtown Martinez. I had a clutch replaced in my car. I bought my own parts because it saved me a little money, but they did the job. In one day! They do great work. I will be taking my car to them for air conditioning repair if they do that, very soon. Hagins and Les Schwab were much more expensive and wanted my car for more than one day, using there parts.

These guys are awesome. Good honest local mechanics who will do right by you. I have taken my car here 6 or so times since I moved to the area 4 years ago and I feel blessed to know a good mechanic. Their prices are really fair (really) and they are very experienced. I am afraid to bring my car to anyone else who may not know what they are doing and would probably charge me more.

Good work at this shop. But difficult to make appointments. The phone is rarely answered, and phone calls arent returned. At least this week.
