Due to this facility NOT being maintain properly my unit was infested with some kind of rodent, there was feces in every single sealed box I had in there (they chewed straight through plastic totes and boxes) as well as urine that coated and destroyed irreplaceable family heirlooms. Their solutions to this problem...file an insurance claim ... sounds simple enough right...nope the insurance you are required to purchase simply sends out an email asking for receipts and pictures of the items lost ...well how do I provide a receipt for my daughters kindergarten art work? My baptismal gown? The countless pictures of her growing up? Her clothes and toys that we were keeping to pass down to her children? etc. All things that I have no receipts for. So basically I paid for 2 years to have my cherished/irreplaceable items slowly destroyed due to the incompetence of this facility.. Then I got to spend 2 days with my daughter wearing masks and gloves going through what was left balling our eyes out as we had to throw away these important items. The office staff not only refused to help us sort through this bio-hazard of a unit at their facility but their only "help" was to offer us use of their trash cans to throw away things that where destroyed, and gave us the phone number of the "manger" of this unit that was out sick of course when we needed her and were told that was the only person to call for an emergency. Disappointed is an understatement. I am disgusted with this facility and its staff. This could have been easily avoided.

I am currently looking for a storage unit and went to Public Storage on G.G. Blvd... I spoke with a person who worked there who said, be careful, they have break-ins all of the time. I just read a couple of the reviews for this storage facility and it was very unsettling. At that point, I called the the office, then the customer service, and they both said, they did not, or could not provide any information on how many break-ins there had been. The only thing they suggested was dont store anything over the insurable amount of two thousand, or irreplaceable, or sentimental items. It almost seems like a cover-up. Please, what else would you need a storage unit for. In essence, what they were saying was, just store your junk in there, nothing sentimental or of any real value, for an average of $200 per month. Give me a break. This is a bad joke. I really feel sorry for these two people who have lost items and all of the other people, the ones who have not bothered to write a review, for their losses. This attitude of public Storage is extremely reckless and irresponsible. This is pretty scary. I think I will look elsewhere. A company who is willing to post, or at least let you know when you inquire, their track record of security.

We made an appointment several days in advance to start rental on a unit. We called the 1800 number, then was switched to the local branch, who had a manager call us back and verify that we wanted a unit. The confirmation call turned into a pushy sales call for us to come in that day and start renting- we didnt want to do that. We had an 11am appointment, but there was a sign out from that said "Manager will returnn at 11:15am". We waited, but Shery was right on the nose for 11:15, so we didnt think too much about it. We discussed what sort of things we were storing, if we needed more boxes, if the size would work. Shery was very sweet, happy, and was generally a pleasure to work with. She answered all our questions, as well as deftly handling a few other surprise events that popped up during our walkthrough. The only thing that I can really say Im bothered with is policy, not Shery at all- until we got to doing the paperwork, no one mentioned the MANDATORY insurance that was an additional fee. Please, Public Storage, if you read this, understand that if its not mentioned in the first inquiry on the 1800 line, then it feels line a "nickel and dime" tactic.

I went to this location about a week ago to rent a storage unit. The guy Luis at the front desk was very friendly and showed me what size storages they had to offer. While he was setting up the account I looked online to see if the prices were the same and found out that they were $40 cheaper if I would have reserved online. I brought this up to the worker and at first he acted like he didnt believe me so I showed him my phone. He kept opening my account and not even acknowledging the cheaper price. I asked him if he could honor the online price or what could I do to get the cheaper price and he basically told me there was nothing I could do about it and since he already swiped my card I would lose that money if I canceled the transaction and reserved online. That was very bad customer service in my opinion. He also mentioned that he was the site supervisor so Im sure there is something he could have done to help me out, but instead Im stuck paying $40 more then I should be paying each month. :-(

I used this facility for two years while stationed out of the area. During this time my storage unit and others were broken into, and ALL items of value were stolen, including military medals, documents, stereo, etc… The staff knew of the multi-unit incident, however failed to inform me or anyone else. After returning and seeing the items missing, I questioned the staff. They responded by accusing me of lying. Only after I called the police did they admit to a break-in at the property. According to them, “many of the units were broken into because…” I will not say the rest of what they said as it could endanger the current tenaents. They refused to compensate me for the six plus months I paid for storing useless items amounting to some empty boxes and a broken bed frame. (yeah they broke my bed frame) If I could give negative stars, I would. Very disappointed.

Well i found a good deal here about 3 years ago. Each year they have raised the cost by $12 per month. There is always sketchy people hanging around when i go by, to the point that i need to lock my vehicle while i am in my unit 10 feet away. The staff doesnt want to work with you on issue and seems to cringe when you approach the office. Honestly if i were paying less i would deal with the issues. Previously i had a unit with a family owned business and they didnt raise my rate each year. They honored the price from the start. Time to get a shed installed at my house. updated---- District manager called me because of this review but she said she couldnt do anything to adjust price. Price went from $64 in 2/14 to $108 in 9/16. Look elsewhere for your storage needs.

Sarah was by far the best ever employee you could have ever hired. Coming from a managers background I know how valuable a good employee is to have on staff. With Sarah you have found a diamond in the rough. Moving is a difficult and stressful experience she has been so helpful and kind even with the woman that was before me, I noticed her kind and professional conduct towards the customers please that she put her in a good mood. Her professionalism, ability to display empathy and kind attitude along with the help that she offers is extremely refreshing. Hats off to you Public Storage for having such a sweet emploee. I will refer everyone lookung for storage here. Thank you Lisette Arellano
