Dont be fooled by the 4+ star rating that this facility is getting. Yes, the staff is super friendly and helpful, but SECURITY at this Public Storage in Stanton, CA is a joke!!! I just recently started renting a unit here in late January 2017 and already it was broken into and all my valuable electronics, appliances, and clothes were stolen! The disc lock I had on it was still intact, but they pryed open around it and got it to open (see attached image). The lock is a false sense of security! Also, there is only one camera facing the front main gate and no one checking up on the facility after the 9:00pm closing time. Then I called the OC Sheriffs office to get a police report written up for insurance purposes, but they werent able to show up and as I waited until 9pm, I saw a man leaving the facility on his bicycle. I saw him earlier coming out of the elevators and I was suspicious as there were no other vehicles around except mine. Ive come to the conclusion that this man is actually living in one of the units! Again lack of security and enforcement is allowing transients to hang out and live inside the facility. I actually talked to one of the tenants earlier and he was also suspicious of people living in the facility and he commented that someone had urinated inside the elevator and the smell was horrible. For those that gave this Public Storage a 4+ rating, you might want to check your unit to see if it was broken into. Again, I highly recommend that you DO NOT RENT a unit from this Public Storage on Knott Ave in Stanton, CA. Update: As I was moving my remaining stuff out, I noticed that the drywall inside the unit ... yes drywall ... had a square cut out in which anyone can easily punch out and have access to the adjacent unit. Another security issue!!! Any potential renter should consider this before renting here. Any thief can simply rent a storage unit and have access to 3 adjacent units by just breaking the drywall!!! Beware!!!

I wouldnt normally write these types of reviews however some things need to be said. The staff was very friendly, and polite such as Michael who helped me move in, extremely scripted, but friendly. The more I stay at this place the more of a headache it becomes. I havent been at this storage for more than a week. Every time I come I cant even get to my own storage. The elevators are constantly down ironically days after theyve been repaired. When the elevators are working your only giving a 4 second window until the doors close, then you have to re enter your access code. The door to the stairs are always locked, and my access code only works 30% of the time. Thus, when I need to grab something early your left waiting for the office to open to be let upstairs. The staff are literal robots, reading from a script that always attempts for you to buy more and useless products, they dont honestly care about you, except for money, and protecting themselves. Everyone must be forced into getting there insurance which covers nothing 5k at the most, and your are forced to sign documents waiving majority of your rights to do anything legally if something were to happen, not to mention theres no cameras except for the entrance,... I wouldnt keep my things here and I will move out immediately.

Awesome prices, better staff. Francine helped us find our storage unit to fit our needs perfectly. If you were to choose public storage, I would recommend this location rather then other locations. UPDATE: For about the past 2 weeks I have been unable to access my storage unit. Either because the elevator is down again for the something time or the stairs are locked. I have talked to the district manager and they said for me to show up during the office hours but as I am at the location currently there is no one here and it says the wont be back for an hour or so and I have already been waiting for 30 minutes. This is unacceptable.

I have been renting here for over 6 months now. Everyone one in the office is polite and professional. I went in the office yesterday and spoke with Heidi, not sure if shes new, because I dont remember seeing her before, but she was awesome. I saw her working all over the property, cleaning it, sweeping it. I asked her to help me with my light, because it wasnt working. She smiled and said no problem, stopped what she was doing and came to help. It turns out I just needed my light bulb changed. She changed it really quick, so I was able to get to work.

Shery was extremely helpful to my friend who called first to pay over the phone by a credit card then he notified me that I had to purchase the unit in person not over the phone. I had stopped by she went above and beyond in her customer service by asking me what type of belongings I own including what were the deals of the day.. I would highly recommend this area its extremely clean and the staff is friendly too. Thanks again Shery and the staff as moving is a pain, but to see smiles it helps to change the mood quickly to happy.

My experience with Tiffany at the Public Storage facility off Knott/Katella has been nothing but professional. Her property is always clean, she makes sure her renters are safe and looked after. If you have an issue she will make sure you are made happy as best she can within her job description. It is always the case, treat someone how you want to be treated and good will happen!!! Weve always maintained a great working relationship and Ive known her for many years, the BEST there is for your storage needs !!!!

Been here since Nov of 15. Loaded all of my power tools and sports equipment, motorcycle apparel and about everything I own. I had no idea they let vagrants and transient trash hang out there. They broke into my storage locker and stole pretty much everything. There are no cameras anywhere and they couldnt care less. Now I understand why they insist you buy their cheap insurance. Doesnt even begin to cover what Ive lost. Do yourself a favor and dont use this facility. Youll be sorry. Thats a guarantee.

These people Julie Michael and Eric at the public storage in Stanton help me out so much never had any problems here theyve been very professional they havent ever giving me the runaround I needed them to let me in my unit and replace the cylinder lock no problem very customer oriented any time Ive called with a problem theyve gotten back with me immediately with a solution the solution problem solved I give them 5 star rating they gave me excellent customer service

I have only been there a couple times helping my friend clean out her storage unit, and the lady who works there I believe her name was Tiffany. She was so helpful and friendly.. It was great!!!. I would also like to point out how clean it was there. I have been to a few public storage and they have not been up to standards. I highly recommend this public storage. My visit there was awesome. Great job Tiffany. Keep up the good work.
