Well, a year later we decided to go back to see what has changed and it had gotten better. Service was better this time, no more paper menus and things had been moved around for an even better ambiance. As for the plant...see the second picture. Old Review: Smoking mirrors - this place looks cool and has a retro ambiance but the people working there have no idea how to run it. First they ran out of paper menus. Then they have no idea about their menu. I asked about one of the coffees and they just bounced questions amongst themselves to figure it out. They dont know how to make a leaf on their lattes. The furniture is dangerous. I grabbed onto one of the arm chairs and it broke off and I almost ate it. And the plant on our table was dying...

Cara Bud

We ordered a pizza for a group of high school varsity girls. We waited over an Hour and 30 minutes and nobody called even called us to let us know the driver was running late. We then called the owner to try and let them know we would drive to them and spoke with owner. The owner cancelled our order and would not accept our request to remake the food even when we offered to come to them. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering eating here and or ordering from here BEWARE you may not get your food EVER!!!!

Very relaxing atmosphere that reminds of a poetry coffee house vibe. The art on the walls has been well chosen as it also adds to the overall quality of the place, and the seats are very comfortable. My best comment would have to be on the customer service. All employees were very kind and accommodating to my girlfriend and I, ensuring that all our food and drinks were to our liking. Definitely looking forward to more visits here in the future.

I love this hole in the wall! The wait times can be a bit long, but thats just fine (especially if youre on a date, giving you more time to talk!). The food is certainly worth the wait. The staff is friendly, and engaging, however, they are not all up in your business. The drinks here are also worth a quick stop in if youre not up for a whole meal. In short, I highly recommend this Uptown Whittier business!

If I could rate this as a 0/5, I would. This was BY FAR the worst and most inconsiderate restaurant I have ever encountered. After waiting for an hour and a half, our order was still not delivered. We called the restaurant and they had the audacity to HANG UP on us. They would not answer any of our returning calls. They will never again receive the business of this varsity tennis team.

They served raw pork to someone in our party. They said thats how they serve sausage. They saw nothing wrong with that. The worst meal ever and servers were loud yelling across the resteraunt. Very un professional. Meal took a long time to get to us considering resteraunt was empty and food served raw!

Worst place ever!!!!!!!!! I dont understand how this place has 4 stars! Everyone was complaining about the service. We waited for 20 mins before we ordered and then another 20 mins for them to tell us they were out of something!!! Like really?! I will NOT EVER recommend this place to anyone.

atmosphere is cozy and dark; music is smooth and has you tapping your foot. Service is very slow however they are very sweet. Food is well plated, average portion and tasty. The drinks were my favorite part of the whole experience.
