I bought the Living Social deal and was excited to find a natural salon. Being 8 months pregnant I wanted a natural alternative to the chemicals but after purchasing the deal I read so many bad reviews online and started to worry but regardless didnt want my money to go to waste. I was immediately put off when she ran a 1/2 hour late with my appointment. She was harsh from the first words spoken to me and the experience just got worse and worse. After finishing with the client before me just didnt sweep up the hair but used her blow-dryer to move it out of the way so there was hair scattered all over the floor. Then she proceeded to tell me that she does only dry cuts. Well, I came with very dirty hair expecting a full-service hair cut. I noticed that with her previous client she only used a spray bottle to wet her hair and didnt even bother to style it at the end. Well, I can get that service at Cost-Cutters. So when I expressed surprise that my hair wouldnt be washed she became enraged and began belittling me and yelling about how all I could care about it getting my hair washed. I tried to explain to her my reasoning but she kept at it. She tried to re-direct me to what style I wanted but at that point I didnt feel safe or welcome in her establishment. She kept pointing to a security camera saying that this was all on tape and so people would know my behavior. Well, if that was even a real security camera I wish someone could watch the tape to see how she treated a client. I told her that I would like my money back and I was leaving. She agreed and told me she would contact Living Social to refund my money. Upon leaving I contacted Living Social myself and they were very kind and credited me back my money. As Im finishing the phone call she comes outside to tell me that she was unable to contact Living Social and would try to get my money back within the next few days. Nice lie. I politely thanked her and told her it was all taken care of and drove away. She made it a point to show me all the LS Deals and all the happy clients she has and continue to verbally attack me for me for leaving. Worst experience at a salon. I should have listened to the other reviewers more seriously. I will never go back to this salon and I will definitely tell everyone I know about this awful business owner.

This place was terrible. When i said i wanted to dye my naturally auburn hair brown the women told me it could not be done. This is completely untrue as ive done it myself multiple times. After finally being coerced into "trying" to dye my hair brown she had me select a color. She then told me the color i selected was too light and it would never cover my natural color, she tried to get me to go two shades darker than i wanted but i said no because it was far too dark. she finally agreed to go with the color i chose but said she would not redo my hair if the color turned out poorly. She then passed me off to her assistant who applied the color and eventually washed my hair. During that whole process these two audibly bickered and the assistant threatened to quit while washing my hair. Needless to say i was ready to leave before the dye was even out of my hair. Finally the towel came off and i was sitting in front of the mirror and my hair looked BLACK! I expressed my concern at how dark my hair looked and the women insisted it was just wet. Once again i have had my hair dyed before and seen it wet i am fully aware of the difference in color. By this point i knew she had dyed my hair the two shades darker that she had suggested and i wanted nothing more than for her to trim up my edges, dry my hair and send me on my way. When i told her my desire to just have my ends trimmed she asked how much. I replied that id like as little as possible just enough to get the dead ends off, this is another request i have used with many stylists in many hair salons allover the country. She told me that she could not do that and she needed a unit of measurement. I said the smallest she offered and let her do her thing. After she finished trimming my hair she blew dry the very top layer for about 30 seconds and told me if i wanted it blown dry it would cost extra. I declined and she took off my cape, when i turned around to examine the back of my hair i saw that she had taken off more than an inch, well over 4x the amount i wanted taken off. As she checked me out she then demanded i tip her. Overall this place was absolutely terrible, the woman cannot cut hair and did not listen to a word i said the whole time. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

Since your Website has no email address I am going to have to give you my feedback here. I was really looking forward to to having my hair done at your salon. When I arrived at your place I had my 7 year old daughter with me, (unexpectedly since her child care had fallen through). I had brought books for her to read and she is a very well behaved child and not disruptive at all. When I walked through the door you turned to me, whilst on the phone, sneered, jabbed a finger into my daughters face and said No children under 10, thats my policy. You then turned your back on me and continued your phone conversation. After that ended you continued to be rude and so I decided that I did not want to reschedule. You then asked me why and said that I did not respect your no child policy. Of course you are entitled to your policy but I am requesting my money back from Living Social because you were incredibly rude to my very sweet and well mannered daughter. Just because she is 7 years old does not give you the right be so monumentally rude to her. She was in tears all the way home in the car. So yes, you have a right to your policy but I also have the right to take my business elsewhere. Had you explained this no child policy more politely I would probably have rescheduled. I am not an unreasonable person, but your manner just completely turned me off. I have read some other reviews and some people seemed to have had similar experiences. I am really giving you this feedback so you can perhaps rethink how you treat someone when they walk through the door of your business. A smile and kindness wouldnt hurt would it?

I had a gorgeous perm done recently at this salon and am very happy with both the service and my friendly conversation with the owner. There is a wide range of organic products that are very high quality - so I ended up picking up a curl creme that does the trick and is very gentle on my fine hair. I was afraid a perm would be really damaging but thats not the case. I obviously read some of the negative reviews of this salon and can honestly tell you that I cant relate to them. This is an independently run shop; I went there full well knowing it would be a different experience than a large chain. Some people are more comfortable in a franchise atmosphere, I get that. The owner has a vivacious personality with a cross-continental perspective. If you are looking for a politically correct hairstylist then this may not be the match for you...and thats ok. A lot of Americans would rather chat with someone who politely smiles and nods rather than share an honest opinion; and thats ok. My family is European and Latin so I maybe Im just used to more dynamic personalities who speak their minds. I found her feedback and willingness to take time to consult with me very helpful. In short, I had a really good experience and will be back. I am very pleased with how soft and damage free my hair is after a pretty serious perm! Hello beachy waves for the summer!
