Zero stars is really what I would give. This is like a nightmare I cant wake up from. I went in for a simple haircut of one-length to my shoulders and slight A-line angle in the front and walked out with it cut nearly up to my ears! Im devastated and angry. I left in tears and cried for hours. I want to cry every time I look in the mirror. I couldnt even sleep, Im so upset. I wanted NO LAYERS and I have extremely poorly executed "Kate plus eight" style absolutely horrible layers from the top of the back of my head all the way down. Nothing is even, its thicker and longer on one side than the other, there are uneven pieces all over, the layers I didnt even want are really bad, I mean, the list just goes on and on. Allison did a worse job than if I gave a pair of shears to my 5-year-old to cut my hair. Then, they patronize me like Im an idiot by telling me that it will grow back....IN A YEAR! How is that supposed to make me feel better? Even the manager there was in agreement with how bad it looked. She didnt even try to lie to me and say it was okay. It was so obvious how bad it looked. I had to come in to work looking like this. Im supposed to call and get a "Master stylist" to fix it. How? Its unfixable, its too short as it is. Im SOOOO ANGRY!!!!

I wish that this salon was better. I feel like I always give them another chance when it comes to the way they conduct business, but I am always disappointed. I was supposed to get a haircut today, but could not be found on the schedule. I know mistakes happen, but something like this has happened EVERY time I have made an appointment with them. First time it happened, the hair stylist just didnt show up. Next, the stylist was dubble booked. Last time, she was 45 minutes late showing up to work. Then this time, I was not on the schedule at all. This was after I triple checked with the receptionist when I made the appointment because I wanted to avoid all this. I usually can let stuff like this go, but when I have a baby and specifically find childcare for the allotted time, it makes me very frustrated. They have also been unable to find purchased gift certificates in the system when we go to pay. They are very disorganized. When I tried to get in touch with an owner or manager, I was told that they were not available and couldnt tell me when or how they could be reached. I guess it is my fault when I keep expecting better service or results.

Ive been in there for a pedicure and the girl doing it couldnt get my shellac off and kept complaining about it! And she was hurting me. Not only that but the nail polish fell off in 2 days. The facial I got was great but the pedicure, NEVER AGAIN.. So that same day I was supposed to get my hair dyed which was a scheduled appointment also and Nanci said there was no time and she would reschedule for a different day so I rescheduled. Of course I didnt have the greatest experience so I left NO tip. Then I received a voicemail from the receptionist saying that I hadnt left gratuity so if I would call them back to either use some of my left over credit or use a card. Smh. So next time when I come back to my scheduled appointment i find out that Nanci cancelled on me without even notifying me! So unprofessional. Then she said "hes actually going to do your hair ok, he does a way better job" Ill never go here again. I hated the way I got treated.

I have never been a critical type and have gone to Rumors since 2004, I have had many stylists over the years and always happy. Today was different my highlights are choppy and blotchy. She was placing a root color in between the foils which apparently caused this? Idk but I have to wear my hair up for work and its going to be very embarrassing! Highly dissapointed and never have been charged $135.00 omg!!!! So sad Rumors I wont be back!

I love the ambiance of the Brighton Rumors Salon. The decorating touch is classy and comfortable at the same time. Each stylist/receptionist has a professional look that is complemented by a professional attitude. Mitzi, who is my stylist, is friendly and energetic. I look forward to seeing her as well as enjoying the services she provides. My hair and nails have never looked better! I rate this salon 10/10 - it is the best.

DanDrae is the Best of the Best. She always listens to how I want my hair and achieves my wants and needs every time. The staff is really great and helpful in their knowledge of Aveda products. You feel pampered when you walk into Rumors and when you leave. A very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great caring staff. Thats why I return and trust that the service and products are always primo.

I absolutely LOVE Rumors!! I have been coming here for 12 years and have loved every single cut, color, and style that Ive ever received! It is a calm and relaxing atmosphere where I feel pampered from the moment I walk in the door. The staff is so friendly and professional. Rumors is the best salon in Brighton and Id recommend it to anyone and everyone! Check this wonderful salon out!

Rumors doesnt measure up to Avedas usual standards. The staff is hit or miss, some are extremely helpful and professional, others unprofessional and unskilled. As a devotee to Aveda salons, spas, and products I expect consistent excellence and a truly relaxing experience when I shell out for Aveda services. Rumors fails to meet these expectations too often for me to return.

I was an employee there for about 8 months and I found that Rumors was full of rude, selfish, and needy women. The salon goes through employees like women go through underwear. The management in that place changed on a daily basis, with stylists quitting all the time because of the way they are treated. That place sucks. Rudest girls ever.

Bad cut the first time. Not the normal aveda experience expected and listed on their website. Went back to get it fixed not too helpful and blamed it on my type of hair. Again still not the aveda experience I have gotten from other aveda salons and whats listed on their website. Would not go back.

Everytime I go there the staff makes me feel welcome. Tarynn is an awesome stylist and very nice, I highly recommend her. Other people say its expensive...but not really because you get what you pay for. If you want a look thats is modern and makes you look amazing go to RUMORS! By Jessie

I like Rumors so much I drive WAY out of my hometown to do business with Rumors. DanDre is fabulous about listening to me and offering her own suggestions.,,you will always feel your money is well spent and your results pleasing. Would not choose another salon!

Stephanie was incredibly insightful, skillful, and did an amazing job at dealing with my uncooperative hair. Ive never gotten so many compliments on my cut/style! The atmosphere is really chill, and everyone is incredibly friendly. 11/10, my new absolute go-to.

Dandrae and Jasper always exceed my expectations! They always are consistent with the quality of cut/color. I trust them fully even with the color or cut they think would look best on me...Ill never go anywhere else now. :)
