Erica Heibert @ the Beauty Brands on North Academy has cut and colored my hair now for well over 3 years and I have NEVER once been disappointed; she is extremely skilled and (in my opinion), a completely unknown & under-appreciated talent in this town! She came to Beauty Brands from Texas and of course had to rebuild her clientele. She started off cutting my (very fussy) teenage daughters hair just by chance one afternoon as she happened to be free when we walked in as we were in the area, and she did a fantastic job! I also watched Erica color other clients hair before my daughters appointments and she was clearly an expert; they all looked awesome and left the salon very happy. Back then in 2007, the last time my current stylist colored my hair, I ended up leaving the salon devastated and looking like Elvis Presley circa 1972, the Vegas years! Anyway, I switched to Erica and have been VERY happy ever since!! I should mention I am very, very particular about who touches my hair; my sister in the UK has 2 salons and it took years for me to let her touch my hair - and she trained in London!! Erica is a true artist at highlights/lowlights and her cuts are fantastic - I honestly would NEVER go anywhere else and usually I am ashamed to say I would never go to a Beauty Brands to get my hair done as I am a complete hair snob, but Erica is superb, truly...I should also mention her prices are extremely reasonable, but I would pay big bucks (and have done so in the past) so that my hair looks good - its my one real vanity (OK, its the most important) and always has been. Trust me, you will not be disappointed if you book an appointment with Erica - and you will be hooked! It also doesnt hurt that she is also really sweet and funny and really listens to you, the client, and gives you what YOU want, not what she wants to do! I would give her 10 gold stars if I could :-)

My first experience with Beauty Brands was impressive. I guess that was because it was located in Aurora, CO. The associate there was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Unfortunately, the store located at 7214 N. Academy Blvd., in Colorado Springs, CO was the exact opposite. The associates here are very rude and behave as though they are going out of their way to walk from one side of the tiny store to the other in order to help customers locate items. I will never come back to this store. I could care less if they close. I will go to Denver or shop the online site to purchase products in the future. I recommend that someone from the district office send a tester to this store to find out for themselves...preferably a minority raced individual.

Ive been there a million times before always gone there because they do my eyebrows so well and today someone new did my eyebrows, Pepper, and she completely screwed them up they are extremely thin and super short. Shorter than my eye itself. It looks so bad. I told her specifics on what I wanted done and then at the end she told me that she didnt know how she could have done them any different. She said " I dont know how I could have given you an arch without doing them that thin." that would be acceptable if I even HAD an arch but no the eyebrows are now short and straight. I dont know how every other eyebrow specialist can do it correctly but Pepper couldnt. If you go there NEVER get your eyebrows done with Pepper, You lose all of them.

I thought I would try a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was fine. The manicure was horrible. Initially I thought the woman was just out of school and was floored to find out she had been there for 2 years. Her station was uncomfortable, she was ill equipped, she complained about the length of my nails and then charged me much more. I was charged over $80 for the 2 procedures. I have never paid close to that for an exceptional manicure and pedicure. I came home immediately and fixed the manicure. Did she not notice how the nails were shaped prior to her starting, perhaps she was more interested in complaining. They were rough and the polish was awful. I am done with Beauty Brands.

Ive been a customer of Beauty Brands for many years, Ive had numerous pedicures done there and all have been "fairly" good. Went in yesterday and had a extremely mediocre spa pedicure, which is very high-priced service and the nail polish on one of my toenails is already coming off. Dont waste your money, go to one of the numerous other nail shops and have your nails done better and for half the price. This place is a high-cost rip off.

I went in to get my nails and a pedicure. The lady who did my nails did a shellac. I got home less than 2 hours after recieving them and my right index finger snapped and broke. When i called to ask someone to fix it they said that i would need to come in tomorrow morning. They didnt offer an apology or anything. The lady was quite rude. There is no reason a nail shoulds have broke less than 2 hours after.c

The stylists are always super nice and friendly and always cut a little bit at a time so they dont cut too much off. They are always willing to give great suggestions on what will and wont work.

Im not a girly girl but I love the way they cut my hair and I buy everything I need to keep my nails healthy and naked despite the abuse I put my nails through. Great customer service.

Great store. Customer service was good. Experience at the Salon was not good, was burnt while getting my hair blow dried. I have never experienced that before at a salon.
