Besides being over priced for their services where you can get quality work done elsewhere for a decent price, I was asked to be a model so their girls can practice doing the "dipped" nail technique for free. So I made arrangements got a sitter and tore off my aquriyljc nails that I had on previously. I get to the shop and already had a color picked out for me which was fine because "hey its free" as the girls were putting the dipped powder on us, the owner informs the girls that we would not be going home with a finished product due to time and that all the girls were doing was putting the dip on our and nails and taking them off and that we would be there till 12, mind you I showed up at 9:30, I was livid to say the least. Why would I show up just for your girls to practice and then go home with no dipped nails or anything, and waste my day. My time is worth something too! They girl who was practicing on my nails was a sweetheart and the other nail ladies were shocked that their models we not going to have their nails done either. I did not make a scene or get rude which I really wanted to but told the nail tech that I was leaving because it was a big waste of time on my part of I wasnt going to get anything in return. I had to then go find another place to fix my nails since I had one hand done and couldnt stay for another hour just for them to take it off. So I wasted my money for my fake nails and wasted my time and paid for parking... which is cheap but its the principal! I will never recommend this place due to their high prices and poor customer service. The owner didnt even thank us for coming or inform us what was going on or even offered a drink of water. RUDE nail salon!

New to the area and had a friend visiting, so we gave this a shot as walk-ins. I was at first hesitant, thinking it would be pretentious and overpriced, but I was happily wrong as they were so warm and professional. The front desk knew their team, the schedules, worked promptly and smartly to find a way to work us in, even going back and asking if the technicians could fit us in. They were clearly busy too, but organised and friendly. We had great service from our technician who worked hard to fit us both in, but didnt do a sloppy rush job on our pedicures. I just mentioned my upcoming wedding and needing a hair treatment and the front desk staff made a great suggestion of a stylist they had. She took the time to check on my friend and I to see how we were doing, and helped me schedule a hair consult all while I was just sitting in the pedi chair. Ive been back twice since then for hair and nails and received the same kind of service. I have called to reschedule an appointment, and even on the phone I had excellent service, just thoughtful polite helpful attitudes all around. I felt they listened when I said Id prefer my acrylics to not be thick, explained my hair issues, and they did what I asked and gave good insights but no hard selling. They just genuinely care about their clients. The bartender is tuned in and pleasant with a great selection. The atmosphere is elegant and tasteful and posh, with no attitude. I honestly cant say enough good things about this place. Now, I think Im nice, but I know Im easily put off by mediocre service, so for me to take the time to review and brag, well, it has to be good :)

Had my first visit to Beauty Bar downtown and I LOVED it!!! The salon is gorgeous and the staff is all extremely friendly. While classy and upscale, the atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting as well. Before getting my pink and white fill by Gwen at the acrylic bar, I was given a tour of this beautiful facility. A great deal of attention went into the design and use of the salon and it shows. Everything from the custom sink in the bathrooms to the separation of the acrylic nail area from the natural nail area (so those who dont like the "usual" smell of a salon will never have an objection). Gwen was wonderful and my nails look amazing! There are a ton of options available for colors, schellac, and powders to choose from. Each month they have a new "flavor" for their pedicure of the month. This month involves some amazing sounding hot chocolate and I cannot wait to come back and try it! The pedicure area looks so relaxing - just what the doctor ordered! Parking is SUPER easy as well. I know that most people shy away from going downtown because of the parking issue. Beauty Bar is located right by the big parking structure and they will validate your parking so its FREE!!! Finally, dont think that you are going to pay an arm and a leg for their services. I was amazed at how reasonable and comparable their prices are to other salons in Colorado Springs. And trust me - the QUALITY of work done there is FAR superior to the price charged. I HIGHLY recommend you take the short trip downtown and check this place out! I assure you that you will never go anywhere else after!

My first experience. A friend made my appointment with 10 other girls. We were going to have a girls day get together. None of us lived in Springs. She had to separate the appointments by separating the group. Otherwise we would have to put a deposit down. She (My friend) said the pedi is $33. Two days before, my friend asked me if I could call Beauty Bar to add 2 more people. So I did. While on the phone with the lady she asked me if the 2 I was adding wanted the signature plan or the bubbly plan. I said I didnt know. Just whatever the other girls have. Im assuming since I had no clue what she was talking about since I didnt make the appointment to begin with, that she took it upon herself to give me the bubbly plan. While there, the bar tender and the person who did my pedi were awesome. When I went to pay, expecting to pay $33, she said it was $60. I freaked. I said my friend that made the appointment said it was $33. The cashier shook her head no. Then asked me who made the appointment. I told her. But she didnt seem to care. My mistake. I learned my lesson. But I will NEVER go back. Just because of the fact of me making that call to add 2 people, and the out come. I felt I was taken advantage of. $60 for a pedi is for rich, high class people. Im poor. And live in Pueblo. $60 is ridiculous.

I love the beauty bar, Wi (I sure hope I spelled that right) does an amazing job and has great attention to detail. He is always friendly and out going in a shy way :) Parking can be a pain downtown especially if you have problems and your appointment runs over. Guess what I found out though, if you park in the parking garage on Kiowa they will validate your parking. The only problem I ran into on my most recent visit was the receptionist Jess. She just seemed really cranky with customers and staff. One of the technicians stated that she could run to another customers car and add some money to the meter since her appointment was running over and she snapped back at the tech that No she could not because she was the only person up there. This was the middle of the week in the morning and there were not many customers in the salon at all. There was also another customer who was getting her hair coloured or highlighted and her stylist ask if Jen could get her a cup of coffee when she had a minute and Jens response was Yes, if I get a minute. Very snotty and unprofessional. But other than that everything was a dream, and maybe Jen was just having a bad day. Forgiveness is divine right!! I know Ive had my bad days and been short tempered. Please visit, you will not be disappointed.
