The house I moved into was decent at best but after putting several hundred dollars into new outlets, paint, dry wall patches, door handles, screens, and windows it wasnt too bad. However, I was told by our landlord at the time that I would be added to the lease after I filled out an online application, which I did. However, when I asked for a copy of the lease in order to gain residency for college, they told me it would be a ten dollar charge but that I was not actually on the lease... this caused quite a problem at my school. On top of this, our neighbor filed several complaints about issues we had thought had been resolved. And the issues were things such as driving over 8mph, parking a car in my neighbors spot (that we OKd with the neighbor), having a front bumper by my trash cans after I replaced my front bumper... As if this wasnt enough to stir the pot, Epic sent out an inspector to take pictures of the house. I was never sent any notice (although they claim to have emailed one) but we allowed the inspection to take place anyway. However, had someone not have been home, the inspector had a house key and had full intention of entering our home ... without me knowing about it. So, after the inspection finished I texted Bryan Trelstad to make sure they had actually sent someone out and I had not just allowed a stranger to come take pictures of my home, and I also commented that I did not appreciate the lack of communication. Bryan became very aggressive at that point and demanded I call him, so I did. He then proceeded to speak at me in a very hostile tone to the point I actually asked him to calm down. He then said that he was the president of the company basically to flex his power... I am 19 years old. Congratulations for intimidating me, I hope it makes you feel better about yourself. He also threatened that he will have the neighbors watch the house to make sure we follow these rules and refused to set up a face to face meeting to discuss the issues. After the inspection he gave us 3 ultimatums: "Option A: Move out with a 30 day notice given today. Option B: Get rid of the animals and we will be back down to inspect as well as let the neighbors know there should be NO pets there. Sign a new lease with no pets and pay the 200.00 for having pets there up until today. Option C: Pay 100.00 more per month to have those pets there on a new lease as well as pay 200.00 for the past months the animals have been there." We went with option A. I would never support a company that employs someone who with such low customer service and communication skills, especially a "president of the company" I highly discourage you from ever renting through this company after seeing the way they treat their customers. Epic Realty was the worst management company I have ever dealt with or heard of.

I dont even know where to start.....this is absolutely the worst management company in Colorado! We were long term renters with Epic. We rented a property out in Falcon for over 3 years. I know some renters may not treat properties as their own however we did. We dumped a ton of money and heart into the rental property. We cleaned it up put new sod In, replaced the fence, built, painted, etc never did we ask for reimbursement. In 3 years we asked for NOTHING! Every year they would try to increase our rent by 350$ and try to make us sign a new absurd contract. Thank god we never did. When we bought our current home we gave Epic a month notice on when our last day at their property would be. We had the carpets professionally cleaned, painted the walls, and deep cleaned kitchen and bathrooms. The house looked better than when we moved in. Luckily we have before and after photos. I called to try and return the keys and they told me we owed 625$ extra for rent since we werent staying the whole month and they would not prorate it. We told them no and I dropped the keys off to their office. I asked when we would receive our deposit back and they told us we werent and we owed even more money?! This office is a joke and a Scam. We plan on taking them to small claims court as well as the better business beauru! STEAR CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Do Not Do Business with Carey Goldburg!

Epic Real Estate gave epically bad customer service. They neglected to perform numerous clauses in our management contract, withheld funds from us (hard to tell whether from dishonesty or incompetence), and were very difficult to communicate with. You hire a property manager to avoid some of the headaches of being a landlord - Epic was the source of far more headaches than the tenants ever would have been. They didnt collect pet fees from some tenants, didnt pay us the pet fees from another, didnt do any inspections, didnt consult with us on prospective tenants and rent amounts, let a tenant overstay his lease for reduced rent, and had to be threatened with legal action to get a tenants security deposit returned when we fired them as property managers. One thing they did well: they did get tenants in the properties quickly, and got high rents. That backfired though when some of the tenants moved out leaving extensive damage, which Epic would have caught earlier had they done the inspections listed in the contract. Our dealings were with property management, but I would steer clear of this company for any real estate related matters.

I used this company as a property manager for properties of mine. I dont usually write reviews, but I must say that this might be the worst management company this side of the Mississippi River. I have read the reviews and I would have to agree that communication is their worst quality. Second worst would be their inability to manage properties. Epic Fail in all areas of property management. From finding quality tenants to simple management duties. The tenants repeatedly complained that Epic would never return their phone calls to handle issues of all kinds. From experience, I advice you and all to keep away from this less than competent property management company. You will greatly regret having to work with Epic Realty. I absolutely regret hiring this company and using them for a more than year hoping that things would improve. Things did not. I am still trying to get final documents from this company to complete my taxes. VERY UNFORTUNATE!!!!!

I applied to one of their properties after viewing it in person and the guy supervising said that it had been on the market for a few weeks and that no serious applicants had been interested. Excited, I immediately applied only to never hear from them again and learn only later on that there was a whole list of people who already applied and that the application fee was non-refundable. So pretty much I gave them my application fee and never heard from them again. They rented the property out to someone else. A scam if ive ever seen one. DO NOT GO HERE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I had a week to find a home in Colorado Springs and found several listings with this company that were exactly what I was looking for. I tried for a week to get a hold of someone but the only people I actually spoke with were extremely rude, unhelpful and unprofessional people from some answering service; no one from the realty company ever attempted to return my messages. Do not waste your time with this company.
