A month and a half after literally spending over $200 at a nearby trendy salon (and being somewhat satisfied with results) I decided I wanted more highlights. After having dyed my hair really dark (2 N) for so long I decided I wanted to go blonde again - NOT an easy task. I decided to try MasterCuts only for the simple fact that they were having their annual discount on services. I wasnt being picky because I didnt want to spend another $200. Joy took me as a walk-in and she did an amazing job well worth the $200 I originally spent. She expertly bleached and toned my hair into beautiful platinum highlights. Then I received the best subtly-layered cut of my life. I usually hate layers but the dead ends really needed to come off so I agreed and it looks better than it ever did before. Joy is really polite and I will definitely be making all my future appointments with her. My walk-in days are over!

If i could give them a 0 i would! The web site says they open at 9 am. Well they dont they open at 10. Today i showed up at 9 and waited tell 10. I was the sitting there waiting for them to open and when they did i told the lady that their website says they open at 9 and she said well there is nothing i can do about that. Then she calls the lady behind me to come over to here and she starts talking to her without even asking me if i need a appointment. So the other lady working with her says to me what do you need. I told her i would like a haircut and she says well we cant get you in tell 11. I totally understand that they appointments but dang. They could have been a lot nicer when asking me what i needed. And could have told me sorry but we both have appointments this morning. With that said I wont be going back there!!

This place is wonderful! i got so much done here that wouldve been way more expensive everywhere else, and they did an AMAZING job!!! i will never go anywhere else... i was a little weary as i used to go to mastercuts in topeka, ks and they were horrible... the cuts always looked bad and not what i asked for and one girl told me my face was too fat for bangs, which may be true, but can we find ANOTHER way to word it? im 120lbs i just have a round face... ANYWAYYY.... the one here at chapel hills is AWESOME! :D SERIOUSLY... even tonight i recommended it to my best friend :)

I arrived 2 minutes before they opened and was told "they were still setting up" meanwhile they allowed other people in front of me. I was asked to come back in 15 minutes. When I arrived 15 minutes later was asked to have a seat. I was ignored for 20 minutes before getting up and leaving. Completely unprofessional people, in a completely unprofessional environment!

Ugh, worst haircut ever. I should have asked more questions before letting someone new cut my hair. Like "Do you have a license?" "Do you understand what I want?", "Do you know what an inch looks like?" "Do you know how to cut layers?" Unfortunately, I know the answers now are NO. Well maybe she has a license, which obviously means nothing.
