Ok. I had written a review from my first time there, and after going a few times, I have to say a few things. I saw Ashley, and she does great work, no doubt. But the other women there? They are CRAZY. Like, legit crazy women. I was telling Ashley a story about getting a tattoo from a parlor in town. I used past tense to tell the story, and when I mentioned the artists name, this hairdresser pops her head in and says, VERY DEMANDING AND PARANOID: what do you mean, you "were" seeing him? what happened? did something go wrong? did you not like his work? And I said - no, Im telling a story. I love his work. I am seeing him again, in fact. And she says, oh, because I know him. I have a piece from him. She was just trying to start drama. I had shown Ashley a picture of what I wanted my first visit, and my second visit, I didnt show her, but I told her specifically what I wanted - copper red. She shows a few samples, and we decide on a mix of two. Well, initially I liked, but it was actually much darker than what I had shown her under natural light and I wanted to have it redone. I called once and asked when Ashley was in so I could speak with her. They offered to schedule it right away. I declined, but thought about it, and said that with summer picking up I needed to just fix it. So I called back, and said I needed to schedule a redo. I told the woman, a different woman than the tattoo drama lady, that the color wasnt what I wanted, it was pretty, but more debra messing than christina hendricks - like the picture I had shown. I said - I dont know how ashley would want to handle the cost of this, as I showed her the first time, not the second - Id be happy to pay for color and tip. I was very positive and polite. I even said if Ashley wanted to call me directly to talk before I came in, we could do that. When I go in, Ashley says: so I was told you HATE your hair. I stayed positive and said - no, I dont hate it. Its just too dark. She told me because of the damage to my hair before, the color would pull darker (well, shouldnt she have known that and adjusted? the swatches did look brighter than my hair turned out - which I also mentioned to the lady who answered the phone). We chit chat, she starts to correct it, and at the shampoo bowl, she brings it up again. "....you HATED it, what a shock. you were so happy." I said: ok, I think thats exaggerated a little bit. I never said the word hate. I never hated it." And then the woman who answered the phone barges around the corner with a BS apology to butt into the conversation: she apologizes for telling me Ashley was in on a day she didnt work, which really didnt apply to the conversation. Basically - this is a really really catty salon. Ive managed salons in the past, and I know the dynamics can be twisted, but to show it to your clients is really, really unprofessional. I wont be back. I think these women need some lessons in how to express drama in other areas of their lives.

I did not have a good experience at Styles Salon. I chose Styles based on the reviews I read here. I made an appointment with Martha nearly 3 weeks ago (because Mindy was booked out too far and I was dying for a cut/color and didnt want to wait any longer). When I went in for my appointment, the gal at the front desk (Ashley) walked me back and started my consultation. It was then that I figured out that Martha wasnt going to do my hair. I asked what was going on and Ashley said Martha was out sick and she was going to do my hair. They didnt even bother to call me in advance or tell me when I got there!! I made an appt with Martha for a reason (i.e. reviews on web). I explained my concern and ...long story short ... Mindy took me (she basically squeezed me in between two of her appts). Mindy listened to what I wanted with my color and it turned out ok. But she seemed very rushed throughout the entire coloring and then very rushed during the cut. So rushed she didnt really listen to what I wanted with the cut. Not happy with the cut. I have long, curly hair and asked for long layers ...explained how I have to wear my hair back in a bun for work, etc. What does she do? She whacks off my hair around the front to a length that I cannot pull it back into a bun now. She was so rushed and talking so fast I could hardly even make out what she was saying. Mindy was talking so fast and loud, Ashley was talking loud, the hip hop music was pretty loud (I think they were trying to talk over the music). Mindy also dropped the "f-bomb" several times as she was talking...I was surprised by that. It was a stressful environment and a stressful experience. Needless to say, I wont be going back. Think I will try J Gregory next time, which has very good reviews online.

First, I have to say I write this review NOT being a friend of any of the workers at Styles. I am French (so excuse the English mistakes), passing through Colorado, and I have absolutely no link whatsoever with my hairdresser. Like any other woman, I am easily freaking out when it comes to choose a new hairdresser and trust him/her with the most important part of my face! After a very extensive internet search (4 hours, no kidding), I decided to go for Stylish. I liked 2 others hairsalon but their prices were ridiculous. I called and the receptionist was super accommodating. But mostly, Ashley, my hairstylist, listened to every single detail I wanted, looked at my Pinterest pictures, advised me, rephrased what I said so I was sure I was heard, and offered all kind of advices. She was incredible (we literally talked for almost 20 min before she even started anything). She talked me through everything she was going to do (low lights, high lights, ombré, layered cut), and asked again at each stage of the process to make sure we were on the same page. She told me beforehand how much it was gonna cost, asked before using treatment, explained what the limitations of my color could be, etc. She also answered every question I had about hair treatment at home (from use of shampoo to flat ironing techniques, etc.) I cant speak for the other hairdressers there, but everybody seemed very nice and extremely professional. They were all polite, on time, and most importantly, I left super happy, extremely pleased with the final result! (and it was at least twice cheaper as other hair salons I found online). I hope it helps other women!

I went to see Stephanie. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I asked for a trim. She thinned my hair WITHOUT my permission then continued to do a BOTCH job on my head. I think she was going for the new hip and trendy choppy hair cut. I have thin hair already but at least my hair was full. AND she knew I had been sick. She even had the nerve to ask if I had gone through chemotherapy. If she thought I was losing hair, why cut more off????? She has no clue as to what shes doing and the review from L Bogart sounds about right. Stephanie also didnt pay attention, either. She was too interested in who was coming through the door or what was going on around her. All I had was my hair to make me feel like a woman due to my illness and she took that away. I HATE my hair. It hasnt grown back and its been 5 months. Now, I have to go short, short, short to get rid of the damage she did. She took off 6 inches and thinned my hair WITHOUT my permission. I have cried many tears over my horrible haircut. Do NOT go to this salon. The good reviews on this page are from the stylists friends or the employees.
