I really want to warn others about my awful experience. You pay for a spa day and want to relax. I never relaxed and suffered trauma to my face that I hope isnt permanent. I have been to many spas and this was without a doubt my worst experience. I called for an appointment for a friend and me and MJ is amazingly rude, extremely unprofessional. It took several attempts to get an appt. She never returns calls. A week before my friends appt. MJ leaves a rude message on her voicemail, "Your appt was at 10, it is now 10:15 you are late we are cashing in your voucher." She called and explained the appt isnt until the next week. She was again amazingly rude. My friend called Living Social and they called and verified appt since she couldnt get help from MJ. I hoped the independent employees would be better. The facial lady (not sure name but Polish, blonde lady) was polite and I felt a little more relaxed. Well at one point a third of the way thru my face was really sore -she put thing after thing on. At one point she put a liquid substance like water on but it had an alcohol smell. It burned. She explained my face was red but would fade soon. She kept telling me I had "lots of congestion". I had ZERO marks on my skin going in...other than some 40 yr old wrinkles and sag my skin looks pretty good. I was concerned my skin was sore but thought it would settle as she has stated. Next I go for a massage with a male (no big deal) but it should have been an hour yet was 40 minutes! However I was glad to be done. He asked if there were problem areas I stated my shoulders and that was the end. He never once asked about the pressure or anything...very rough. Last was toes, the lady (Emily) did a nice job. It was pretty quick but no problems. During the pedicure MJ storms in and states my friends voucher was expired. She restated their phone conversation and MJ was literally yelling that she would check her computer but she owed money. Later she came in again to ask if I gave the esthetician a tip. I said I would take care of it at the end. MJ is just rude and obnoxious. While getting the pedicure my friend comments that my face is breaking out. It felt warm and irritated. Literally I have what appears to be acne and raw spots on my face. I was panicked and thought it appears like chemical burns...this wasnt a peel or anything other than a regular facial. Also during the facial she kept pushing "$20 for microderm" I would be in the hospital had I done that. I feel sorry for a young girl going here for relaxation the day before her wedding..her face and photos could be ruined. We went to MJ and the esthetician and she blamed me. She said I had a scratch on my neck...it must be spreading. MJ said..it will be fine in 2 days. I am terrified I have permanent damage. We are planning a vacation but I dont want any sun exposure and my doctor (who I went to after the appt) said hopefully it wont be permanent but no one knows for sure. She said not to put anything on my face...sunscreen included so there goes my plans. My kids were very scared and concerned when they saw me. Please save your money and skin. Ridiculous you pay hard earned money to relax and I was/am so stressed and have damaged skin:(

This place is very unorganized. The owner is extremely rude. I called to schedule my massage for the Groupon I purchased. They were busy and took my name and number to call me back. After two days of not getting a return call, I called them back. I was scheduled for Thursday at 6:15pm. I was called two days before my massage to reschedule. It was changed to Friday at 6pm. I was then called at 9pm on Thursday night asking that I change my time yet again. I changed it to Saturday at 4pm. I arrive at 4pm and give my name. The owner says, you did not show up for your appointment. We tried to call you this morning and you didnt answer. I asked which appointment since they changed it so many times. She responded with, the one in the computer. I tried to explain to her I did not receive any call and I didnt miss my appointment it was at 4pm and that is what I was there for. She asks me if I would like a facial instead and she could fit me in. I told her I was here for a massage, not a facial. During this time shes harsh speaking in her responses. She goes and gets the massage therapist and he confirms my appointment. Im going in to relax and Im frustrated at this point. If this was a review more on the massage therapist it would be better. I would have bought another session. I just to refuse to pay money and be spoken to in that manner. I will never return.

So, one of those email coupon things came up for this place, so I thought Id give it a try. The coupon was for the Lavendar Pedicure. Upon arriving at the strip mall spa, the receptionist asked who my appointment was with. I said that I didnt know, so she asked if it was an internet special, and I said yes. She said, "Oh, theyre around the corner." The receptionist couldnt be bothered from her web surfing to show me where the place was. The nail salon is small. It looks like they do acrylics there, so if youre like me and dont like to be around that smell, you might reconsider. They also use the water basins that are connected to the chairs, which I am not a fan of. That being said, the chairs are very nice and have a variety of tilting and positioning options, so you never have to be uncomfortable. They also have earphones where you can listen to spa music and the chair vibrates in unison with the music. The pedicure was actually pretty good, although I think I only got one coat of polish and not sure if I got a top coat (I was reading and not looking very intently). In conclusion, this nail salon feels disconnected from the Lavender Spa. It feels like its on the upper end of a cheap nail salon and the prices also reflect this. The receptionist at Lavender was rude. I probably wont be going there for any massages or other treatments.

I work at Lavender Medical and Beauty Spa as an independent massage therapist. It is a very warm and welcoming spa, and most people leave the spa in a spiritual trance and relaxed state of mind. Most people with "horrible" experiences at our spa should have an open mind and not be so critical. Most of us who work at Lavender are INDEPENDENT, so Lavender should not be reflected. We serve to give our clients 100% SATISFACTION and MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE HAPPY. The front desk should not be the reason why Lavender is not a 5 star spa in your book. As long as your service was good, than that is all that matters. No receptionist would be an issue, but at least you received what you came in for. FOR COUPON DEALS: As first time clients, we serve to give you an over the top experience, compared to other massage therapist out there who do a half A## job. Who takes the time to make sure you are comfortable, add more to the massage without extra cost? Therapist at Lavender sure do. Stacey, You must stop the degrading comments. It is indeed very UNPROFESSIONAL and we would never bring your name down in any manner. Hope all is well for you and your business. You are at fault for your experience with the staff and owner at Lavender. For newcomers, I hope you will enjoy your future services with us. I love where I work and my spa family.
