This is the worst company Ive ever had to deal with. Their customer service is awful. I had them come in to install one side of a fence because that was all that was left to be done. They charged me $1600 for the ONE side and it didnt match the height of the rest of my fence. It was a foot taller than my other three sides. When I asked them to come fix it they said they would only fix one panel. I had to fight them to finally give me a discount since it looked so awful. I told them that there was no way I would give them $1600 with my fence looking like that, I said I would either need 10% off or for them to fix it. They attempted to take me to court for this. They then said they would give me the 10% off but then took it right back with court cost. I called and paid on a Monday they took everything they were authorized to take and then took an additional $170 out the next day without authorization and when I called about it they said it was "court costs." Not to mention Denver county recommends that the post be 36" deep so that it is below the frost line and they didnt even put them in 24" deep. It took them more than 90 days to complete the process and everytime I would call the lady there was so incredibly rude. Ive never been treated that way in my life and I will never do business with them again. Dont do business with these people unless you enjoy being treated like crap.

This is the worst company Ii have EVER dealt with!!! When they were installing the fence, I saw a potential problem and spoke to the supervisor regarding it. I was assured that it would be taken care of but I should wait until it is complete. This turned out to be a way to just placate me since the issue was still there after they finished. I tried over the course of 6 months calling, leaving messages, asking to speak to the supervisor, the owner, anyone in charge. My calls were always taken and each time I was assured of a prompt call back. I NEVER got a phone call returned!! I did get through to one of the owners one time and was told there was nothing she could do. It could have been easily resolved if they would have acted when I first pointed it out, but the supervisor decided it would be easier to put me off. I finally at my own expense had to fix the fence myself to get it done right..something they could have easily done if they had integrity and pride in their work. This is just the main thing, during the work, we constantly had to pick up trash from their workers and after just a couple of years, the fence is splitting at the seams and and buckling from the sun. I wont even bother trying to get them to take care of these issues, it is too frustrating. There are many other choices out there, save yourself a huge headache and avoid this dysfunctional company.

My first experience with this company did not go well. After a small purchase ($250) I was told my order would be ready in a couple of days and to expect a call by Friday. On my way to Denver I called and was told it wasnt ready but theys get it ready and call me when it was. I got the call informing me it was pulled and ready for me to pick up. An hour and a half later I stopped by and it wasnt ready. I had to go out on the yard and pull it myself. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I told the guy at the front Id give him a chance to make it up when I needed some of my rails shortened at a later date. My second visit resulted in the very same poor service. I brought three of my rails back with a distance between my two posts just as instructed. I was told the tool to do this job was out on a truck but theyd get it in the morning and I could pick up my rails mid morning. When I got there at 2:30 they werent ready. They forgot to get the tool off the truck before it went out.Poor excuse for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN! Seems to be a pattern. Dont bother responding to this review. Visited showroom to get a quote. I must have been a bother because the girl seemed irritated that I was there asking for an estimate. I waited a week for a response and never got one, so I called only to find out they transposed my phone number into their system. Waited again for the estimator to call me with the correct phone number.... and waited some more. Finally, I call them back (because I STILL havent heard from them)and get routed to "customer care" and get a voicemail (Fantastic :-( Finally my husband speaks to someone name Amber who assured us she would take care of it and give a a discount for our troubles and do the estimate herself. Well, 2 weeks after the initial request, we finally get an estimate emailed to us and the estimate for our 70 ft of basic privacy fencing with no gate or anything else was $2800!! Thats $400+ more than another company gave me (and the other company took less than 2 days to get me an emailed quote) Give your hard earned money to people who care about customer service....not these folks!

They installed the fence in the wrong location, but one I can live with. They installed a gate that does not match the style of the fence and not as requested. Vertical gate with a horizontal fence looks ridiculous. They just put the cheapest gate in knowing we would catch it on the bid, even through we specified it should match our neighbors exactly. I feel they were trying to dupe me. Have now tried to upcharge us to get the correct gate. I would NOT use them again. I was NOT impressed with their customer service or attention to detail. The corner of the fence does not line up with the neighbors and if we had a small dog this would be an issue. Overall a lousy job & lousy service. I recommend using a company that takes pride in their work. We specifically worked with Chris Haines and would not recommend doing with him in the future.

Yet another complaint for lack of communication. I have called, emailed, and submitted web requests for a quote to have a fence completed on our property in Loveland. I have not received any response whatsoever in 3 months. I have seen their trucks driving in the neighborhood since my initial attempts but havent seen them lately, maybe the developer had similar issues. Looks like we are going to have to take our business elsewhere. Update to follow if we can find a responsive company around our area. Might help others who have been disappointed by Split Rail. @joe martinez curious that every other review on here is negative yet you had a 5 star experience. Could you elaborate on what made your experience a good one or how long you have worked for/with Split Rail?

Theres a reason this company receives terrible reviews...theyve earned it. Do not use this company. They took over four weeks to even start on my fence. Not only did they dig my fence posts too deep, but the second time the same crew came out (I asked for a different crew) they hit my sprinkler lines. The sales rep then denied that his crew hit my sprinkler lines. When its completely obvious that they cemented the post on top of the lines. Also add in the fact my sprinklers stopped working the same day they dug and cemented new post holes. This company is over priced and they provide terrible customer service. They are not worth the stress and aggravation. Find yourself another company. There are plenty of them out there.
