I was quoted $139.99 for a transmission flush when I came in. I was later called and told that since my transmission pan didnt have a drain plug it would cost $311 for labor and parts. I told them that I would just come pick up my car and get quotes from different shops before I made my final decision and was then told that they had a technician that would do it for $239.40 so I agreed. When I talked to my husband later he had then told me that he could have spent half the price just to buy the tools to do it himself and that the filter and gasket would only cost $20-$40. And also that regardless if there was a drain plug or not it would only have taken 15-30 minutes longer. My husband looked at the receipt and noticed that they charged $65 for 5qts of transmission fluid and $20 for the gasket and that they did not even change the transmission filter which would have taken no longer than a minute since they already had to take the transmission pan off. $65(their price for 5qts trans fluid) $40(5qts trans fluid at Oreillys) $20(their pan gasket) $5(pan gasket at Oreillys) -$30 transmission filter at Oreillys. All in all, unreliable quotes/prices. Service is below my expectations. Dont think I will be coming back here. If you know someone who knows basic auto care Id recommend you ask them first or YouTube DYI repairs before recommending this place. Update: After 3 months my husband had to service the transmission himself due to the transmission constantly slipping and it even stalled. Keep in mind it is an automatic. Due to a lack of transmission fluid, we might have to replace the transmission. It runs smoother now that he has replaced the transmission filter and fluids himself. Hoping they have not completely ruined our transmission.

Worst shop Ive ever dealt with. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They are extremely over priced and tried to rip me off because I had a bad sensor on my water pump they told me the actual part had to be replaced and it would be $361.47, $179.48 for labor and $181.99 for just the part. Which I later found out they were gonna get from car quest or autozone for $30 and it only cost me $50.99 with no platinum customer discount (like they have) at autozone to buy it, so I bought it and took it to a different shop to get it replaced where I was told it was only a sensor, the water pump is fine. Then I came back to service street to have them fix my exhaust manifold. They put the car up on a lift and did a quote for $295.95 again a rip off but I just wanted to get it done so I said go ahead and do it... After 30 minutes they came and got me and told me it would now be $470.40 that they missed another cracked bolt on the estimate... Now keep in mind parker automotive down the road said $225-325 for the exact same work. So I said never mind Im just gonna go somewhere else. Then they said ok well it will be $57 for what we had to do on it. They didnt replace one thing just took the heat shield off which I said leave off cause Im only taking it right down the road. Then I asked "so your charging me for the 30 minutes it took you to remove a part so you could give me a proper quote and raise the price by $120 once you were already into the work on the truck?" They said " sorry sir we dont work for free" Needless to say I will never return for work to be done on any of my cars ever again! Plus will never tell someone to come here to get work done on a car!!

Wow...I am shocked to see all these bad reviews. I love these guys. I stopped going to another local shop because they would always tell me things were wrong with my old car when I just brought it in for something minor. When I came here they told me about a few things that were wrong, that I already knew about but nothing else. And I cant tell you the number of times I have brought in my newer car thinking that something was wrong and they look at it and tell me that my car is fine...it doesnt need anything. For them to treat a woman, who knows nothing about cars like that, rather than make something up, speaks volumes to me. They have always honored their quotes, they often do small things for me for free, I have never had a problem with stolen stuff and my car is always done when they say it will be. Their labor might be a bit high, I dont know...to me its all expensive, but you know its going to be when you take it in to get something done anywhere. And often times it is lower than expected. And they always lay it out on the line for me as to what NEEDS to be done and what can wait or what really doesnt even need to be done at all. I am very happy with them and I usually dont trust mechanics at all. I hope I am not being duped but I will still go there until I have a bad experience. I am only giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because their waiting room is uncomfortable, the sun beats in the huge window and there are no blinds and often the tv channel cant be changed and the chairs are uncomfortable, especially when you are waiting a long time. I know its petty but it does make a difference. But mechanically, Im giving them 5 stars.

In today for a minor problem on our Volvo which everyone told me requires a dealer or import shop. Id already been over a barrel with McDonald trying to hard sell unneeded repairs, and I wasnt keen on the hour drive to Rickenbaugh or the Volvo mechanic in Denver. Service Street is close so I gave them a ring and Aaron, the other manager, said they would check it out if I brought it in. During the fifteen minutes I was there (15 minutes!), while they were fixing and test driving my car I chatted with Aaron- he used to be a Honda mechanic, and we talked Jeeps and other automotive things that Im familiar with, so among all the other bad reviews, I was doubly surprised about the "lack of knowledge", because Aaron knows his stuff (this includes listening to him with a few calls he got- remembering a code meaning from memory then verifying on the computer, and looking up price for a customer wanting a second opinion and telling them honestly they were getting a fair shake at whatever place they called from). Im definitely going back, and not just because they save me a ton of time and more money, but Ive been to places trying to sell a 4 wheel alignment on a Jeep and telling me I needed new everything when I didnt, and this seems as far from that type of place as possible. Absolutely worth checking out and letting them give you a quote if you need service, like I said, I was impressed.

I had a bad oil leak so I took my car to service street because it would be very hard to make it back to Colorado Spring with such a substantial oil leak. They took the car in and charged $300+ dollars and told me the problem was fixed. I drove the car home and it was immediately out of oil and was leaking from the same spot. I took it directly back to service street and they looked into it and gave me a quote for another $800+ bill! I tried to tell them that I was dissatisfied because they told me my car would be fixed after paying the $300, and that it had not been fixed despite charging me. They simply blew me off and told me my car was old and it had simply broken again. I got the car towed to my normal mechanic and told him the work they had done and the quote for the work they wanted to do to the car. My normal mechanic looked into it and told me the $300 work they had done had not even fixed what was the cause of the oil leak and that the quote for $800 would not have fixed it either. Needless to say my normal mechanic fixed the problem the first time for $200.
