Had an awful experience. After waiting in line forever I finally got to the front to deliver my small 12" by 4" lightweight package. I already had the address filled out but I wasnt sure if I was allowed to send my item in a regular cardboard box so I waited to tape the top. The clerk, who had wavy red hair, sternly told me there was tape for sale for just under $4. She cut me off with this information before I could even finish my sentence, rude. There was a roll of packing tape sitting on the counter on the other side of the room and I asked if I could take a strip from that once since it was placed in a location that made it seem like it was for public use. She told me absolutely not, even though the strip of tape I needed was only about 8inches long. She told me that someone else must have opened the tape and used it without paying. When I asked again if I could just use a small piece since someone had already opened it she angrily replied with another absolutely not. She then ordered her coworker to go confiscate the roll of tape so no one else could use it. I feel almost bad for this woman because every time I have been in the post office she is always rude and she must really hate her life. What happened to helping people out? Being a decent human being?

Im sure these folks are overworked & understaffed but someone in a leadership role needs to fix that b/c this place has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced (private or public sector). I Get a notice (via text) from them that my package has been delivered but when I go there its not ready to pick up. Woman behind counter says it does not matter that I got a notice from them or not and I need to "check back tomorrow". I tell them thats unacceptable and this is medication I need asap. With a fair amount of attitude she walks in the back and in <30seconds comes out with my package. From the rank and file employees all the way to the PostMaster General this place should be embarrassed by their extremely poor service, bad attitudes, and overall "tough luck" attitude towards their customers. I challenge someone in the USPS organization to look at the dozens of HORRIBLE reviews this place gets and do something about it...

It frequently takes a WEEK or more for them to sort mail that has been delivered. I can track my packages and have confirmation that they have been delivered to the post office, but they take their sweet time actually putting my packages and mail in my PO Box. I have even had packages that I had delivery confirmation with a name of who had received it "disappear" for up to three weeks until I threatened to call the police for theft. It magically showed up the next day. This post office is notorious for being absolutely terrible. Ill reiterate here what several other locals have said - this post office is in shambles. Get a new postmaster.

Deserves 0 stars. Brenda who is the red head there has such a nasty attitude towards everyone there. I usually dont write reviews, but today her behavior was way out of line. I walked in after closing - 5 pm exactly- and just needed to grab one package. She went crazy and said to come back another day. I went to another man there who kindly said he would quickly grab it. Mind you- there were 2 other customers in there whom I left shortly after. She started cursing saying she couldnt stand peoples bullsh*t. Probably the worst customer service ever.

Long-time Vail local, finally given a reason to really complain. They closed my mailbox without proper notification for no good reason, and it appears the new delivery guy stole prescription medication from it in the process of doing so. If this isnt resolved in two days, Im filing for an investigation with the Inspector General. Im out $100 worth of medication, and there is probably some newbie to both Vail and the postal service getting high with it.

Worker Glen is a very, extremely rude employee! He took it upon hisself to yank my box out of my hands and throw my shipment two stalls over from where I was standing in his window. I was trying to pay for a Birthday card to place in my shipment. He is abundantly Rude, I witness him telling another customer to shove his package up his ass. Why would Vail Post Office provide employment to such an employee? I was in tears when leaving.

The postmaster has been so extremely helpful and patient when Ive called recently due to issues with package deliveries. Mostly the problems stemmed from Amazon saying a package has been delivered, when really it is still at the post office (I have street delivery). He also was a great help in getting my mailbox re-keyed when I lost the key. Thank you, postmaster!

Glen that works there was super helpful, patient and persistent to find my package. He is always professional when I deal with him. Thank you again for all of your help. Your bosses should know what consistently great work you do there. It cant be easy. I know the Town, the people and Ive seen the lines.

Only helpful staff member is a guy named Glen I think. Hell get your packages found. The other black-haired lady is useless and tries to get rid of you as quickly as possible without even attempting to actually help you out.
