I usually don’t write reviews, only when I experience exceptionally good or exceptionally bad service. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience this morning in this place. I went to this place to get a flat tire fixed. They told me that I have a worn out tire and regardless of the service, I need to replace them. I asked if he can fix the tire or not, he responded “I cannot fix tires that I am not supposed to”, which made me confused because he did not clearly explain to me that “the tire was not repairable.” He immediately offered me to buy a new tire and when I asked for the repair again, he kept saying “I cannot because I am not supposed to.” He later took me inside the garage and showed me the condition of the tire. He said he can only fix the flat if the puncture is on the rib of the tire (which it was). I showed him the puncture (on the rib), and asked him “you cannot fix that?” He immediately shouted to another employee “Alright, he doesn’t understand! Open the door and get the car out!,” which was an extremely rude attitude towards a customer and made me sad. I immediately went to another shop with very friendly employees and got the tire fixed with 1/4 of the price, which supported my theory that the tire was repairable. The guy at Firestone clearly tried to sell me a new tire and refused a repair and when I insisted on repair he got mad. I have been to this place before and they have been so nice until my recent experience. I am NEVER going back to this place and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place anymore.

I got a flat tire right after finishing my morning shift at work. I changed it out for the spare and called the nearest Firestone - this one, as it happened. I told the man on the phone my situation - I was going to replace my tires in a few weeks but one of them was punctured and I had to get back to work in a few hours. He assured me that I could have 4 tires purchased and installed in that timespan. The staff was very helpful! I mentioned that I average about 10,000 miles a month, and he made some recommendations for me. I ended up purchasing a set of Bridgestone DriveGuard tires that were on sale, and they had me all set and on my way just in time to get back to work. And all of this without an appointment!

Oscar and James and the rest of the Hamden staff are INCREDIBLE employees of Firestone. Ive run into some issues with other Firestones before, but I will now ONLY go to this Hamden location. The deference between the two was customer service, the Firestone in Hamden explained in great detail exactly what was wrong with my car and what they were doing to fix it, whereas other Firestones just give me a bill and say pay up. Oscar and James and their staff who I didnt get their names made me comfortable and confident on their abilities to work on my car and I thank them for all of their continuous great work and I look forward to coming back for new tires shortly.

Women are taken advantage of. Online quote for 2 tires and the works (alignment Balancing warrantees fees tax ex) $218 "out the door". I made the apt in between a double shift at noon the next day. Once its on a lift the quote almost doubles to $389. I flip out and tell them Im not paying that I will pay for the 2 tires n thats it. I end up getting my car back 2 and a half hours later paying $235 still over my qoute. I could have gotten them done quicker and cheaper at PEP BOYS. I chose firestone because of extras and ended up with nothing but hostile feelings. NEVER AGAIN!!

I hit a pothole that bent my wheel and caused a slow leak in the tire. I was in a panic because I had to drive about 300 miles to a conference and I couldnt find a single place that was open on Sundays. I finally saw that Firestone was open, called them to see if they could help and they told me to come by. They fixed my car in 10-15 minutes and didnt charge me an arm and a leg. I cant say enough great things about this place! I recommend it to anyone and I will be back myself for any future services.

Something that I liked about firestone: was I was having some car trouble and I drove it to the shopand ask them to see what was wrong, they call me to explain me the problem that I was having with my car I have no clue whats a alternator ,they explain me what it does they show me the part and most importantly they answer all my question ,5 stars .

Awful service broke 2 sets of hubcaps and got an oil change and 1200 miles later i have an major oil leak and going to cost 500 bucks they r thieves do not go there they will rip u off they even tried taking my tires that still are good i am going to complain to the BBB about them absolutely horrible

Outstanding service. I typically go through my dealership but was in a bind. Nick was such a pleasure to deal with and helped me out in a very timely manner! I appreciated that I wasnt trying to be sold on unnecessary parts or labor/work. Highly recommend and will be returning for service.

DO NOT GO HERE. Literally anywhere else would be better. They are disrespectful and condescending, and sell you parts you were not supposed to replace. They are a bunch of arrogant people who went to junior college.
