I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Carriers refuse to come up the stairs to ring the bell to my apartment when we have packages coming. Then when we call we get told that they cannot force employees to climb stairs in to deliver packages. Even though it is written on the REQUIREMENTS for the job on the USPS website that carriers need to be able to climb stairs and carry up to 75lbs. We also get told that it is not their problem that were not receiving packages when promised. I understand that there can be delays. When the delay at their end because they wont make an effort to deliver, then it is their problem. I know that some of you are saying, "Well they may have made an attempt to deliver while you were not home." My answer is this: my husband is obsessive about tracking our packages, weve had other package handlers (Lasership/FedEx) leave packages on top of the outdoor mailbox to get ruined by the weather or stolen. He always makes sure that when we have items out for delivery SOMEONE is ALWAYS HOME. USPS is the ONLY place that I know of where employees do not have to preform their job duties and the only consequences are to the consumer. Straighten up your act USPS, and start getting some RELIABLE carriers who actually want to do their jobs.

When I wanted a record that my letter had been sent, the representative demanded that I add, and pay for, BOTH certified and registered mail service, then charged me more than $6 for for the mailing. Though I repeatedly asked to pay for just one of these services, she summoned her supervisor, who backed her up, insisting that both services needed to be purchased together in order to generate a record of the mailing. Thats obviously false. A corruption scam appears to be operating here, involving the forced double-sale of unneeded services, with "representatives" selling such services, and "managers" validating them. The branch needs to be investigated, and the parties participating in this scam fired and prosecuted.

This is the worst post office, the old guy with glasses is rude never can find stuff, not to mention the people who deliver your mail sucks too I had a package supposed to be delivered the tracking said out for delivery yet when I ask the guy why he didnt deliver it oh it must be on another truck I waited to end of day hoping where ever ir was it would get delivered.....yep u guessed it they didnt drop it off smh they need to start over from scratch at this place it sucks!! 4 month update guess what yet another delivery supposed to be out for delivery yet the main did not deliver it. This post office needs to get it together they make more mistakes than there should be it needs new management or something.

This is the second weekend I Am here to renew my sons passport. The staff is great but they agree that they dont have enough people to process passports on a Saturday. On a Saturday the most I have seen them process are 5-6 passports between 9:30 am and noon. I am last on the list today the other four are all adults renewals. Most people know for minors both parents have to be present so the only time this is feasible is a Saturday. My advice to USPS will be to prioritize minors over adults on the Saturdays.

Packages missing and then blamed on "Someone stole it". Only "stolen" packages are from USPS never from UPS or FedEx. Im home, 6 pm, lights on in the house, cars in driveway. They leave a note "Sorry We Missed You". Dog barks at any knock or doorbell, but they dont do any of it. I once caught the guy leaving, he was almost back to the sidewalk when I saw him out the window. Left a note that I wasnt home. Never attempted to knock or ring bell.

They do not sort out the mail as much as you complain to the supervisor or mailman they are still doing the same thing over and over again. Very important paperwork going to broad st instead of brook st and vise verse we have to deliver it ourselves to the other address. Someone needs to do something about this. suxs when the system you trust doesnt work for you at all.. but you ask complain work with them but they dont work for you..

i had them lose two packages last mouth and a few moths ago. now i called them to see why my package says delivered but no packages. trying to find excuses. then made me call back and he said ur package was fail be hide chair will deliver it tomorrow. so why did one package make it and not the other. both were marked delivered . he tried to say that it doesnt say that on the web while im looking at it.

Not sure what it is with this office but I all to often am finding mail is not making it through, A check I was supposed to get three weeks ago seems to have vanished and last month I had something sent here "over night" shipping, and it ended up taking two weeks... about one out of every ten pieces of mail gets lost and comes late, I wonder how much I am not getting all together.

This post office employees are very very lazy and rude , they had damaged my 4 international packages and now whenever I drop prepaid I have make sure they scan it, but other post office I dont have to they scan as soon they get it , but here OMG they services is really poor even I dont want give them any star, sorry this is very bad post office ever I have visited.

I live on Wakefield ct in new Britain, Ct and I never received mail on Friday. Now when I called today the general manager of the post office said there having a hard time findind post people to do that route. I dont know were are Fridays mail is put in with this weeks mail cause I get a check that comes in every Friday and I not getting any answers.

this post office is HORRIBLE! always long lines and like 2 workers! I have been getting my mail throw on my porch and houses down the block from me getting my mail!!! when I have a mailbox and called in about 4 times they didnt do anything ! very rude especially the ladies there ! they need to get it together not professional at all

I know a few people said that they had problems with service here but I never had any issues. I had them hold a package for me that was scheduled to be delivered the next day. I went to pick it up and they were very courteous and I was able to get my package early.

April 5th 2016 about 11:30am. Approximately 15 people in line for counter service. There was NOBODY at the counter serving customers. As I walked out another 3-4 people were getting in line. Oh - BTW - I heard the counter clerks were on their coffee break.

Had an excellent experience with the Passport Clerk at this location...She was friendly,very knowledgeable and patient. Cant say enough great things about her. She went above and beyond average customer service...KUDOS!!
