This place is the worst, The employees are all rude and take there time and are very unorganized. The will tell you your package isnt there when it says it is online, though they hardly seem to even look for it. Multiple times i have order something online and it literally spends more time in the Ridgefield post office then it does traveling across the country to it. Ill check the status of my order online, in which it will say arrived at Ridgefield post office at 9am. I will then receive the package 2 days later, i live 2 minutes from the post office, is this some sort of practical joke? People received mail faster during the civil war. At which point i am fed up so i go there myself and they tell me they dont have it. This has happened multiple times. Honestly go with UPS its worth the extra money.

Yesterday, my mail had not been picked up 5:00 pm so I called the PO and was told that the carrier was still out; they were running behind. I thanked them. This morning when I went down to get my mail from yesterday I discovered that that mail had not yet been picked up (no weather problems yesterday) so I called the PO again. I explained the situation and suggested that the PO should pay for the letter to be sent express . The woman actually laughed. I explained that the letter/payment would now be late or I would have to drive it to Danbury to send it by express mail. So I ended up spending nearly $8 to send a letter that yesterday had a regular first class stamp. I am not pleased.

I had a package that contained an EZPass that I had to mail to a relative. Tracking said it had arrived at the Ridgefield Post Office, went through sorting and was out for delivery. Well it never was delivered and when I called (several times) to resolve the issue, the staff always took my number down and never followed up. Later on, I found out the EZPass was used at several locations in NJ. Not sure who is a fault, but seriously bad customer service and possibly an employee who likes to steal things. I would recommend to send all potentially valuable things via FedEx or UPS.

Ive been using the Ridgefield USPS office for over 20 years. They can at times be slow, sometimes very slow, due to being understaffed, which is not their fault. However, no matter how long the lines Brad, Joe and Mercedes are all helpful and cheerful when working the counter, as was Diane, who recently retired. I have found that in order to have a good experience at any Post Office requires a little legwork on your end. Dont go in with unwrapped packages. Dont go in without having the proper forms filled out. In other words, go on-line first and be prepared.

I wrote the Ridgefield zip code on a package going to Redding - my fault. When I saw on tracking that it was at the Ridgefield Post Office, undeliverable and ready to be returned I called them directly to see if we could locate the package. Walter was great! He took the time to look up the package and even went and checked the different bins. Walter found my package and wrote the correct zip code so that it could be delivered the next day! Thanks so much!!

also would give a negative score if possible. constantly receiving misdelivered mail - the latest problem is the post office delivery person claims the "mailbox is blocked" and so they dont make delivery, even though the mailbox was not blocked and we were home and able to receive delivery.

The staff is wonderful. They do a great job considering they are so understaffed. Parking is a nightmare and customers are often frustrated with this and long lines - however the staff remains patient, helpful and kind. (My family has used this post office for over 40 years)

The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because the line can be long and they need more help. I have always been treated with courtesy. With so many post offices closing, I am grateful for our little local PO!

Typical of an incompetent US Post Office. Cannot get an answer and they promise to call you back and never do. Customer service is a lost art with this office, just ask Supervisor Joyce.

This post office has hit rock bottom and started to dig. Package supposed to be delivered today. Not being delivered due to weather. Hmmm. Not a cloud in the sky today.

I had a very pleasant experience at the Ridgefield Post Office. I found the staff to be very accommodating and went above and beyond for the customer.

Incredibly rude postal workers. Twenty six years ago the post office in Ridgefield provided quality services. All that is history now.

The single worst Post Office in the State of Connectict. Mail service is spotty, the staff unhelpful and seemingly incompetent.

Staff is always friendly, helpful, and pleasant! Service with a smile. Lines can be long because of understaffing.

They have usually been most helpful, even though understaffed for the large number of fussy, demanding coustomers.

I had to redirect a package and Walter was very helpful. He took the time to figure out how to get it done.

I cannot believe it. Their website says they open at 8:30 am. Well, I am here and they open at 9 am!
