The automatic transmission on my wife’s 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo (117K) suddenly broke down and finding an LKQ replacement with similar configuration (TCS) I thought, would without a doubt be more than a challenge but fortunately, perseverance and luck eventually paid off as I was able to locate one locally. This after a terrible misadventure with an online transmission reseller who tried the old “bait and switch” tactic where the “low mileage” transmission I had bought, turned out to be unavailable (after I made the payment) but “not to worry” I was told; they are sending a replacement that would be just as good. Luckily, I was able to get out from that morass with my payment refunded and just a valuable lesson to keep in mind. My experience with JP Motors, which I found from Google however, was quite the opposite. That is to say if peace of mind; satisfaction; even happiness can be summed up in one word, that would be the phrase I would use to describe my experience with them beginning with Haley, the service advisor. In Haley, I found an individual who is as sincere as she is charming, which immediately captivates for who would not appreciate honesty and unpretentiousness among us wherever we may find it? For that appealing image was the impression I gathered even from the very first time I spoke with her, which inevitably influenced my decision to have the car repaired at JP Motors. And it was a very wise decision indeed. Although I only briefly engaged with Joe Portelinha, the owner of JP Motors, I was equally impressed with his honesty and generous spirit for when I mentioned the problem I was having adjusting the transmission linkage on my 93 Saab 9000, he immediately offered without much to look at the car and pointed at the “culprit”. And when you meet people like them and in the process become acquainted with their work ethics, the question of where to bring one’s car in case it needs repair is no longer problematic. This was the first service out of warranty for my Audi. I plan on keeping it for some time and wanted to have a relationship with good repair house both for regular service and in case something breaks. I should tell you I have learned to have an adversarial relationship with the dealer service rep (salesman). And I work in the automotive industry (OEM fuel systems) My car needed an oil change and I wanted a safety/issue inspection. I called JP Motors and told then what I wanted. The lady who answered explained they offered and oil change and inspection as part of their basic service. She quoted a price. I made an appointment. On arrival I was impressed with the facility. It was very clean and very much focused on service. The folks were super, willing to talk about cars in general with no (I mean NO) attempt to sell other services. During their inspection they found just the tip of a nail in my left rear tire. They circled it with chalk to make it visible. I look at my tires regularly, especially the left side and never saw it. They dont mount tires but offered to bring it to a local tire shop for repair. I declined planning to bring the tire to where I purchased them. They added some extra air to make my trip safer and told me to drive carefully. In my mind, finding the nail was a clear indication their inspection was detailed and not just a glance over. I left feeling like they were old friends. In JP motors Ive found that garage you can go to and trust their recommendations. In my experience a rare find. John

We have many years experience with vehicle maintenance and repairs. All sorts of Dealer and repair shops, some good, others not REALLY so good. JP Motors service is excellent, ALWAYS!!! We have had nothing but great experience and outcome that is consistently provided by JP Motors. If you value your vehicle performane as we do, this is the place to bring it to!!! We have been able to maintain our BMW in great running condition due to their quality service and expertise. They always use genuine BMW parts. We expect that all of our vehicles are in great running condition. JP Motors has been very forth coming with service suggestions and professional guidance. Our vehicle service experiences with JP Motors have always resulted with our BMW running in top performance. JP Motors will fit us in quickly for service we request (even an occasional pit stop) and always will provide us with a ride to and from work.

All I can say is WOW! I recently started using JP Motors knowing I needed some major work on my Jetta. I chose to go here rather than the dealer as I dont trust car dealers in general. JP sat down with me to understand what was going on with the car. I never felt talked down to or intimidated. Cassie the service advisor is great too. I was always kept up to date with the progress of the repair and never felt like I was bothering her if I called with a question (even though she was probably dealing with 10 other things a the same time). My 2001 Jetta is now running better than ever! If you have that hard shift issue that often occurs in a Jetta, this is the place to take it! I typically dont write reviews, however I felt compelled to after the great service Ive received at JP Motors.

I first came here when I brought in a used Volvo XC90 to be inspected for possible purchase. For a very reasonable price, I got an extremely thorough vehicle inspection. As a result of that report, the dealer fixed more than I could have imagined at his own expense before I laid down a penny. J.P. has saved me a bundle. Now JP has been taking care of my familys high mileage cars for the last couple of years (Swedish and Japanese). They do great work, finish on time, and keep me posted every step of the way. Any time my cars are in, they explain what systems need service over the next year. They explain what can wait, what might cause further problems, and what might pose immediate risks. They never pressure me to have any work done.

If you dont know much about your American or foreign made cars, and want someone who will take the time to explain your problems and options to you, go to JP Motors. Having numerous cars serviced (86 Mercedes 300 -just about a complete mechanical restoration, 99 Honda Accord, 00 Saab 95) to complete satisfaction I can recommend them wholeheartedly. Good work, good estimation, always bringing things to your attention for future reference before they will become major problems, i.e. exhaust bracket hanger loose, brake pads will need changing in x 1000 miles (better than doing the rotors when the pads wear through, etc). Long time, satisfied customer.
