I am being extremely generous with the 2nd star, but that is because the staff was friendly and they didnt charge to "look at" my vehicle. I went to them because my check engine light was on and my drive light was blinking, the code was (P0843) which is for a bad transmission fluid pressure switch that Id recently had replaced by a mechanic, but the light wouldnt stay off and the same code kept popping up. The car wouldnt shift past 3rd gear and all of my research pointed to a transmission fluid pressure switch or a bad wire, but the mechanic wasnt comfortable doing anything beyond replacing the switch, so he recommended that I go to a transmission shop. I did a Google search for shops near me and this one came up with a decent score (4.7/5), so I dropped my car off. The staff was very friendly and they even gave me a ride to work. I dropped the car off at 8:00 a.m. and they said that they should have an answer by lunchtime. At 2:00 pm. I decided to give them a call because I hadnt heard from them. They said that my vehicle was just going on the lift and they should have an answer within 30 minutes. I called back at 3:00 and was told that all of my switches and wires looked fine which indicated that the problem was internal. They told me that they would have to remove my transmission and open in up to pinpoint the problem which would run me $550 (thats not even fixing anything). I told them that I was not prepared to agree to that. This didnt make any sense to me since the code clearly stated that it was a problem with a switch and my vehicle is a 2009 with 73,000 miles on it. So I decided to take it to a Honda dealer for a second opinion. I decided to not even mention what I was told at Budget just to see if I would get a different answer. Maybe 15 - 20 minutes after I brought my car in, the techs brought me to the back to show me what they found. The mechanic replaced the wrong switch and it was clearly leaking transmission fluid. They showed me the bad switch and showed me where the new one was leaking. The problem was so evident that I have a hard time believing that Budget actually looked at the vehicle......that, or they did the stereotypical "here comes a female, lets see how we can screw her and take as much money as possible." So while I paid the overly inflated prices of the dealerships service department, at least they gave me an honest answer and my vehicle is driving beautifully again!

Budget transmission is by far the best experience Ive had with a shop. Im on my third car right now. Always had German cars therefore always expensive to fix. I currently have a 2007 335xi. Yes a bmw. Yes it has two turbos. My car needed a clutch flywheel front driveshaft plus a few other little things. Now I was maybe a little concerned considering its a bmw and I usually I there or to other local shops where I know the owner. But unfortunately a tight budget forced me to look around and thats exactly what I did. I called budget transmission and they picked up my car with a tow truck that day (45 minutes from their location might I add). They looked at my car and within a few days told me everything that was wrong with my car and quoted me LESS THAN HALF of what bmw and a local shop was trying to charge. I have them the go ahead considering it was a no brainer and within 3 days the car was ready for pick up. They additionally stayed late for my convenience to pick up the car. After driving the car for over a month I would say I am well more than satisfied. Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Excellent service absolutely excellent price. Will continue to make the drive to bring this car and all my future cars here. As well as spreading the word to my family and friends who arent as knowledgeable about cars and always getting screwed by shops and dealers. Thank you budget transmission you guys are in fact the best. - Josh with the red 335xi

Ive been using Budget Transmission for a couple years. I first went there for some differential work, then a while later I had some trouble with the transmission. I went back, and they worked on the transmission. I am really happy with it. Sammy, and his crew, stand behind the product. He makes sure that everyone working there is really, really nice. They make sure to cross their Ts and dot their Is. Sammy is great. He bent over backwards for us, all the mechanics did. Before I took the transmission to Sammy I was taking it somewhere else. They could never fixed it, and I had to keep bringing it back. The light kept going on, and the transmission was doing the same thing. I went to Sammy, and Sammy fixed it. I wasnt comfortable with the other shop, but we are comfortable with Budget Transmission. We are comfortable to the point of joking, because they are nice people. Sometimes the parts dont come in for awhile, but when they get the parts, they go to work and its good. I understand that I have to wait, and that it is not their fault. My job was a mechanic too, so I understand about people fixing cars, and I had patience. It works great now, and my wife drives it. She used to always tell me to junk it and refused to drive it, but now she likes it. She calls it her car. It is running great, and we are very happy with it. Though I lost the car to my wife, I am happy with everything I got.

Shopped around for transmission work and from a professional, personal and price standpoint Budget was way ahead of the local competition. Ray and Sammy were very kind, explained what the process consists of and actually gave me a tour of the area were they rebuild transmissions. Yes, they do it in house and they have all the specialists needed in case something goes wrong or needs to be troubleshooted. Their explanations were very assuring and gave me confidence and justification for spending the fairly large amount associated with a transmission rebuild. At the end of the day, you feel comfortable that your problem is being taken care of and you are not getting charged for fictitious issues. Someone was mentioning in an earlier review that these guys are bending over backwards to get you happy. The statement is true! In fact, I was so happy and confident in Budgets work, that I left my second car for repairs the moment I picked up the first one (transmission). Cant be happier and even though they are not very close to where I live, to me it is worth driving to their shop. Budget has won my business and hope to have a great relationship in the years to come.

I first call budget looking for a ballpark price of what a transmission goes for in my 09 nissan rougue hoping to get a ballpark price over phone. I honestly told them I thought it was transmission and explained my issues, but also gave disclaimer not a car guy. They explained to me that its too hard to price what I need over phone and invited me in for free estimate. I went in on a Saturday and they had my car for 4 hours and confirmed I needed transmission and gave me budget price between 2-2.5k to rebuild. Sounds fair for what the work is but before agreeing to let them do work I want to double check a couple things to confirm my warranty was over seeing how car had 101k miles on it I was sure it was. After calling dealer I found out I was wrong and Nissan having so many issues with their transmission doubled warranty to 120k. So I took to dealer knowing I need transmission to find transmission is fine and I need a brake light switch that was worn out causing complete power loss at complete stop. And the transmission is fine. I dont think they were out to get me, they seem like a great bunch of guys but be careful transmission shops sell transmissions
