Anytime Fitness, Wilmington Delaware is my 2nd home! I have been a member for just about 2 years now and it is a great atmosphere. The gym is clean and in great shape, the atmosphere is warm and fun, and all of the staff are fantastic. I love that they are open 24 hours, so I have no excuses! I started working with Michael Shaw, one of the fitness trainers. I was Mrs. Wilmington America 2011 and the current Mrs. New Castle County United States 2012. Michael has been an excellent trainer and motivator and has changed my entire workout regimen and mindset to prepare for my upcoming pageant. He checks in with me on a regular basis and in addition to our weekly workouts, he has created a workout and nutrition plan for me to follow on my own. He also has been very helpful with educating me about supplements, vitamins, and skin care. We also focus on pageant preparation with stage presence and Michael has been very helpful with providing me weekly progress checks. I am happy to say that at 33 years old, I am in the best shape in my life, my clothes fit better (in fact I have dropped 4 sizes!), and I am more energetic and confident. Michael is a fantastic trainer, who really does care and wants to see his clients successful. I highly reccomend him and Anytime Fitness, Wilmington DE. Located on Marsh Road, this gym is great! They have every tool imaginable to keep you in tip-top shape, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and they are always open! The area is safe, well-lit and secure for people that like going later in the evenings. When my wife and I were evaluating which fitness center to join several years back, Anytime Fitness stood out as being professional, friendly and just the right fit. Their Zumba instructor (Tiffany) may be the best in the state and we have made many great friends at Anytime Fitness. Duane Siders I have been going to this gym for over 2 years. Its conveniently located and open 24 hours. I can go there to burn off steam and stress at Anytime! My trainer Ryan is awesome. After a major surgery he is very careful to watch and judge what my body can do since my mind will tell me I can do more. His workouts are always fresh and fun. Ive become stronger and fit under Ryans professional care. ZUMBA classes are amazing. Tiffany is fun and always energized!! Yoga class is extremely beneficial and Melissa is very good at instructions. Butts and Guts is just what you want for those areas...a tough class and a marvelous workout! Ive made good friends at this gym and I encourage everyone to give it a try. Deb

My friends and I joined for the classes (one in particular that is no longer offered). I tried to pay cash for just a month of classes and the management stated that it was too difficult to pay month to month with cash and she would set us up in the system with a credit card that we could cancel at any time. Since I am a student I wasnt sure if I could do classes the next month depending on my schedule. Now school is starting and I cannot go to the gym due to timing, I am all of a sudden under a contract and this cannot be cancelled. The owner did not have the decency to call me back after I left a message. This is a horrible place with misleading management who will lie to you to get you to join. One of the people who run the front desk is extremely rude and does not know any information about the gym they work at. EXTREMELY HORRIBLE experience at this gym. They are listed as taking a percentage off of their membership if you have Blue Cross and Blue Shield Health insurance but they do not honor this even though they are listed as a participating member on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield website. DO NOT GO HERE if you have other options. The equipment is old and worn and the management is rude. The only reason I liked the gym is now gone.

Overall, probably the worst anytime fitness Ive been to. A lot of the equipment is old and most or my rest time was spent there trying to locate the correct plates. I had to walk from the only squat rack in the gym to the Smith machine to get different plates. Also, no bumper plates. There are a lot of signs posted around the place threatening to add fees or revoke membership for stupid things. Adjust the thermostat = revoke membership. Not racking weights when done = $15 fee. Um, OK. Seems excessive for things I wasnt planning on doing anyway. The treadmills are pretty outdated. Maybe Ive just been spoiled by my hometown anytime fitness that had the basics that every gym should have. More than one squat rack, preferably a power rack or at least something you can push press in. Bumper plates to do some Olympic lifting or even some barbell rows without making a ton of noise. The only bench set up for bench press is the most narrow bench Ive ever used. It was very hard to keep myself centered. Maybe I should have brought chalk? I dont like using chalk because usually I dont have to because the equipment should be better maintained.

Definitely a cool joint. Ive been working out in gyms most of my life, from the Bronx to Philly to Delaware. I know what I like and I know what I dont like. I definitely love the fact their dumbbells go up to 160. I like to powerlift, so thats perfect for me. They have a few Bumper Plates the trainers use. Their main guy Shaw let me use them. I told him to get a few more of the Bumper Plates cause guys like me love them. He said no problem and ordered them right then. Lady in the office was nice. Asked me a lot of questions. Another trainer worked me out a little, gave me some good tips too. I got to say that was new for me. Most office folks just want the money lol and a lot of trainers I find unimpressive. These guys know their stuff though. The members were cool. Nobody got salty when you wanted to work in. Everyone was chill with each other. Im a definitely come back. Im recommending it to my Delaware peeps too.

Just moved here from Louisiana a couple months ago and decided to try this place out. Its near my home, which is plus #1 for me. I dont like driving distances to get to a gym. Was looking for something easy going, no crazy crowds, and equipment good enough to get my workout in. They have all that. The people there were nice, but not talkie like some other gyms Ive been to. Place was clean. Got a shower there a couple times when I was on a rush to work. Met the guy who runs the place a couple times. Nice guy. I asked him for some tips after somebody told me he trains bodybuilders. The tips panned out. Asked me to keep in touch with him on my progress. Not something I usually do, but Im gonna do it this time. Already told a couple of my friends to join there. Yall get a thumbs up from me.

I started working out at Anytime Fitness in Wilmington October 2011. When starting I was completely out of shape weighing 198 lbs from my college career. Today I weigh 172 lbs and am at the best fitness level of my life. Thanks to the great staff and amazing gym atmosphere at Anytime I have reached my original goals of becoming a more healthy person. With the amazing help of their staff I have no worries that I will be able to reach my further fitness goals. I thank all of Anytime Wilmington for helping me to strive for a healthy living life style and completely transforming my physical appearance into what it is today.
