This is a full-service Post Office. The staff patiently answered my questions before posting my package. I went during lunch hour and was in and out in 15 minutes. The entrance to this Post Office is very nondescript, but it is right on Pennsylvania...and it is NOT the old Post Office Pavilion building. Also, the Google street view is misleading: to find the entrance, continue walking toward 14th St. Cross over 12th St. and it will be on your left.

As everyone else has noted, the staff here is very unfriendly. Its a shame since it is used not only by federal employees and nearby office workers, but also by tourists, many from foreign countries. Youd think the US Postal Service could at least put its best foot forward in the post office within the Post Office Department headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue, Americas Main Street. Or sadly, maybe this is its best foot.

Very rude and unfriendly. Asked for help to send a package internationally but was referred to the self-help desk. Explained that Im a foreigner and would really appreciate some help. Still refused to help and already started talking to somebody else. Ended up going to FedEx on 11th St. It cost a little more but I got all the help I needed and they were very friendly.

I called to ask for a passport appointment and the clerk was mumbling so I asked her to repeat herself. She continued to mumble and when I asked her again, she raised her voice and yelled at me for not hearing her. She wasnt mildly annoyed, she yelled into the phone. I will definitely not be going to this location and if you want to have a good day, you shouldnt either.

Went there today and the place is dark. Signs posted on the windows refer folks to the Post Offices at LEnfant Plaza and 1750 Pennsylvania (both very, very far on foot). There is supposedly a Post Office vehicle that collects already stamped mail, but it departs by 3:30 pm. Why isnt there a temporary substation nearby? Shame on the Post Office.

Went there today (09 July) and it was reopened. Also, I dont know why people complain about lines and service when 95% of what everyone needs to go to the Post Office to do can be done at the little automated kiosk as soon as you walk in. Very convenient to federal offices.

Workers are unfriendly, borderline rude, and I always have my stuff in order. God forbid you need to ask some questions. The place looks like its in a constant state of renovation. Half the space is essentially unused. Why would they hang the pricing info behind a post?

This is a very convenient location for all the Federal employees working nearby. However, most of us come in on our lunch breaks, so the lines are always long then. The post office management should staff accordingly.

If there is actually a post office at this location, it is inside the Department of Agriculture building, and therefore not accessible to the public.

Staff is always SO rude, you dare not ask a question. Such a shame too, since the location is convenient. (been coming here 2 years)

Almost always a long line and one or two staff at work. Why cant they add another self-service machine?
