I love this branch. The staff here are always helpful. Theyre friendly and efficient. I appreciate that when theres a line, one of them is usually out with the line, helping people to be prepared with the right forms for whatever service they need, and also taking care of simple customer services like picking up mail or buying stamps. One odd thing: this is my "home" PO, but they have nothing to do with mail delivery. The mail is delivered out of the Woodmoor branch (110 University Blvd W, Silver Spring). Woodmoor PO gets negative reviews on Google, and that fits my neighborhoods experience with mail delivery. But weve got a great local PO (substation?).

For the most part the counter staff are quite pleasant, but at times can be downright surly. I was tempted to only give one star because of the experience I had with the so called customer service guy who takes your packages and/or you can buy stamps from, was rude, unprofessional and because he did not like my answer to an obvious question, he had my package sent back to my office the very next day. Theres a whole lot more to this story which I wont go into here, but in my opinion he is a spiteful human being who is unhappy with his job! Again if it wasnt for the other staff at this location I would have given one star.

I like this post office overall BUT: Its ridiculous that it doesnt have a single vending machine for self-serve stamp purchases. Waiting in line for 15 minutes to mail the once-in-while large package is one thing, but its another thing when all I want to do is buy a book of first-class stamps. Please modernize!

The Takoma postoffice has provided terrible service. I regularly receive my neighbors mail. Despite repeated complaints they do not change staff. This is government job security at it worst. Please change staff to people who care about doing a quality job!

Everytime it rains, my mail is delivered but not completely into the mailbox. Everything gets wet. I have tried to call, but the wait is always more than 40 minutes. I would have given 1 star, but Im assuming not everyone is as dumb as my mail carrier.

Please be serious on putting the mail in the right box. I live in belford towers (New Hampshire avenue) and the person who is expected to deliver the mails is messing it up. Putting wrong mail in wrong box.
