So I dont like giving a bad review. The guys here have done such a bad job that my rumble been that I loved has been tarnished. Thats my feelings over. Here are the facts. The truck was taken in to get the paint chips and little dings repaired. I was up sold into repainting the truck also. Told it would look very close to as when it rolled off the show room. And all the panels would match color also. But when the truck was returned none of the dings or paint chips had been repaired. They had just painted over them. Looks absolutely terrible. But it gets worse When my flatmate came home asked me why I had the wheels painted yellow. The overspray is so bad. The chrome front grill, wheels, black bumpers and even the truck bed. Poor tape work has resulted in paint on glass and the silicone holding the glass. Radiator lights black trim peices and so on. And the paint has pooled into the taping and created ugly built up paint junk. The black detail parts that were supposed to have been painted were not touched Paint runs and orange peel all over the place. Lights have been damaged from removal. Some are currently still not working. I feel these will now have to be replaced and will certainly fall on me to repair or replace. Sounds pretty bad. But wait there is more. The interior has been damaged. There is paint all over the driver door panel. Steering wheel. Seat and carpet. I could clearly see that some panels did not match others. But they tried very hard to tell me not so. But as soon as my flatmate saw asked why so not just my eyes. Some of the badges are also missing I was told 3 to 4 days to complete the job. I asked if that was a tight deadline. Told absolutely they do 20 to 30 cars a week explained I needed it. After 4 days I had to ring and ask. Got told tomorrow. Rang again the next day. Answer machine again and again. A few days later finally get through told the boss is away. At almost 2 weeks drove in to see what was going on. Told there was an issue with the paint had to be resanded and painted again. Would be 2 more days. That also came and went. Finally got called today. But despite being told they would pick me up I had to walk and catch buses. But then were unable to drop me back home again insisting I pay the balance and take the truck. This is not good and sounds very much like I was brushed off and are done with me. I am taking it back in tomorrow. They have said they will clean up the over spray and touch the bumpers But have said they are unable to work on the truck for a month. But want it back then. Will fix it all up. I will update this to reflect support received and the final product. But my hopes are very low.

I originally got a quote from these guys to paint and replace my bumper after backing into a tree. I chose to quote with them because of their great reviews. They quoted $1500 and gave me a second option to use a generic brand bumper for $1200. I was really impressed with their clean professional office, their staff and their quoting process. I wanted to get another quote to make sure I was getting a good deal so I went to another body shop in Clearwater. It was dirty, they were unprofessional and the guy doing the quotes seemed like he was going to rip me off. He quoted $2500 for the same job. I went with Maaco. They arranged a rental car for me, had it waiting when I dropped my car off so I could transfer my 2 year old daughter and her car seat right into the rental. I left in the rental and two days later they called me to say the car was done. I brought the rental back to Maaco, checked out my car (it was repaired perfectly) and jumped into my car and was done. Maaco coordinated getting the rental back to Enterprise and got me a great rate. I would highly recommend this place. Hopefully I wont need them again anytime soon but I would definitely use them again if needed!

Really, really great! I took my 98 Honda there to get it painted (youve probably noticed that some older Hondas paint doesnt hold up well). Rob was friendly & helpful. They didnt try anthing funny and gave me a discount on pinstipes. The owners son even gave me a ride back to work. I got the basic paint package. I did ask for the upgraded prep & stripping package because my paint was in pretty bad shape. I had realistic expectations for the price I paid. I think even if I had had unrealistic expectations I would still be very happy. The paint looked better than I hoped for and everyone thats seen it has been really impressed. They (Maaco) even found an old Accord emblem in their shop to replace the one that had fallen off over a year ago. Thanks to 49th St Maaco my car looks as good as new. NOTE: My understanding is that Maaco is a franchise so my review applies to the 49th street location.

Maaco in Clearwater did an outstanding custom paint job on my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The price was very affordable compared to the estimates I received from other custom paint shops. The guys worked hard on the prepping & painting. There was no paint sagging & all the paint cracking & chips were feathered down. Hank did an outstanding job in helping me select the right color and kept me up to date on how the process was going. He has a special arrangement with Enterprise car rental down the street which saves you a few bucks. The process took 3 days which was much quicker than the other estimates. Hank also ordered some replacement parts for my Eclipse that had taken a beating from the sun & could not be restored. It looks like new. Everybody is asking me if a got a new car. To me its a classic & the guys did a great job. I highly recommend them.

Well... well... well. I was called to pickup the corvette and I can say as shiney as it looks, Im pissed over the laziness and mess Maaco has caused. First they take off parts to paint, youd expect them to be placed back on but no they are in passanger seat for me to put back on. The door molding had to be removed and I was promised it would be put back on, nope said they couldnt figure it out. They got paint on the seat, they said well get it off with some stuff, yep that stuff removed paint and the coloring of the seat. Tell them Im far from happy. I guess this kid would be considered the shop manager said I dont know what we can do. I said you might want to document this. I took plenty of puctures. Might have to get a lawyer. Oh and when I went to pick it up only gear it will go into....reverse. Thanks Maaco

Dont waste your time and money coming here. They have bad service and lie. It took 3 months to get a warranty for the painting job. They said that they will call back but never have. I had to stop in there 4-5 times. It was a very frustrating process. Now that I finally got the truck painted, they were missing the bed lining of the trunk. The manager Chris was very rude and tried to run away from the confrontation. He told another worker to reinstall it for me but in the process, they broke the 6 brackets that holds the bed lining together. Now it is very loose nothing to holdNow it is very loose nothing to hold .its vibrated , moving make noises I scare it’s can fly away during driving with strong winds blow … This shop very BS !
