I was referred to this Salon by the Hotel at which I was staying. I was on vacation and needed a color and cut. While the Salon was clean and the attendants were pleasant, I was not given a quote or estimate concerning pricing. I was shocked when the bill came to over $258.00, yes that is correct, over $258.00 for a color and cut, with a lip and eye brow wax. They added glaze and mousse and all this other add on incidentals. When I complained about the bill the owner, manager claimed that I was given a quote which is absolutely false. I firmly believe that I was taken advantage of because I am a tourist here in the area on holiday. This Salon is a rip-off and buyer beware, do not enter this place unless you have an estimate and complete understanding of what you want for a service. And bye the way the hotel we stayed at will no longer be recommending this Salon to its customers. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I was taken advantage of at the hands of Stylist Tiffany Devereaux and Salon. January 30, 2016. I expected that the owner would respond with a reasonable sounding explanation. However I want to make clear that there was constant pressure to buy product from the stylist - all without any discussion of cost. This is obviously premeditated and is designed to ramp up the bill, and for the stylist, her tip. A reputation is normally earned though hard work, but once obtained can remain even though the product falls below expectations. To be clear this review is less about the actual work done, but how the stylist took advantage of me and pushed product to drive up costs. Buyer Beware, make sure there is a clear understanding of what the requested work will cost, and remember nothing at this salon is free.

I went there with my step daughter to get our hair and make up done for my wedding that afternoon. I dont remember the girl who did my make ups name but she was awesome. "Tiffany" was my hair stylist and she did a good job with my hair. I had so much anxiety and nervousness because it being my first wedding and all she did was try to sell me stuff it was so annoying. As she was getting done curling my hair she said theres a little bottle of hair spray I put up front for you to use right before the ceremony. So that made me think she gave me a sample size bottle for free for me getting my hair done with her. Nope. That sample siZe bottle cost $10 if I wanted it. My step daughter got a simple braid and Tiffany said my step daughter had some knots in her hair but she didnt want to hurt her and get them out but she recommended I buy this wet brush because apparently if I use it on my step daughters hair, she wont even feel the knots! Then why in the heck didnt she use it on my step daughters hair?? The simple braid costed $20, why in the heck couldnt she spend the time and brush the few knots out of her hair? It just seemed as if Tiffany wanted to do as little work as possible for the money. I just cant believe on my wedding day she tried to sell me on products instead of making my morning less anxious and better.

I had a great first experience at this day spa & salon. First when I phoned for an appointment, Tiffany was very polite and thorough. She was able to get me in when I wanted the appointment and then repeated everything back to confirm, which is always reassuring, especially when it is your first time going to a new place. When I arrived for my appointment the first person I was greeted by was Tiffany again - she was very warm and friendly and offered me something to drink before anything else. I was given a cup of coffee and a seat. I had arrived a few minutes early and my stylist, Welly came out and greeted me 1 minute before my set appointment. The service was great, Welly is a seasoned pro (my family was in this business for over 30 years so I know what to expect and look for) She listened very well to what I was looking for ( which was partially a repair from my last haircut) and did exactly what I asked for. A great haircut! I will be returning to Sharmaines and would highly recommend anybody thinking about it. The spa is nicely decorated and the entire staff is very warm, friendly and attentive.

Amanda C is my hair specialist. There is so much I can say about her! We have been together for years with lots of fun and laughs. When she goes on a training to advance she comes back with something to experiment with my hair. She has my color so perfected that people stop me on the street. I traveled last spring and in three states people men and women commented on my hair. We decided that Amanda should patent her specialty. Amanda is always professional and knows my little pet peeves. She truly is the best color expert I have ever known as well as cutting hair. I was extremely naturally curly and on a dare went straight. She supported me immensely and on my next appointment she fixed me up good and trained me on how to manage straight hair. Thank you Amanda!!! Always a pleasure.

I have been going to Amanda for my hair for several years and could not be happier. Not only is she professional and personable her talent for color and cut is off the charts! Amandas work is always very detail oriented, thorough, and consistent. I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair and I never have to stress when Im in Amandas chair because it always turns out perfect. I also see the talented and amazing Nichole for my pedicures. She also is wonderful at making you feel so relaxed, she is kind enough to choose my polish color for me, and gives me such a fabulous experience. I am such a happy Sharmaines guest and would never go anywhere else because they are simply the best!

I look forward to my appointment with Abby like a kid looks forward to Christmas. She always makes me feel like a Barbie after she does my hair. Plus, her scalp massage is to die for (coming from a massage therapist) I fall asleep when shes washing my hair. Im so picky and stubborn when it comes to doing anything with my hair and she respects that. Alissa is also an amazing esthitician. I started breaking out really bad for a few months and the facial she gave me last Saturday had my face cleared up by Wednesday! It was the first time I was able to wear no makeup and be totally confident! Thank you ladies for all of the amazing and beautiful things you do! ❤
