I’ve had some terrible things happen to my hair in the past few years and was very nervous about going to someone new. After voicing my concerns to the very polite receptionist, I booked my appointment with Amy. I was greeted right away and the salon atmosphere is very welcoming, stylish and clean. They have every product you would need. Pureology, Redkin, Dermilogica and more. Within minuets Amy brought me to her station and did a great consultation. She acknowledged my concerns and understood well what I was looking for and what my fears were. She gave me realistic goal for the day (I’m quite dark wanting to go to super blond) and then we started. After a hand / arm massage with delisious oils, I was then offered cookies and a beverage and taken on a tour while my 5,000 foils processed LOL. My hi-lights are well placed and even thorough out. Amy also nailed the cut form one simple picture. The scalp massage at shampoo time was a nice pampering touch. I’ve spent the same amount of money plenty of times in the past and received a fraction of the service given to me by Amy and support staff at Salon West. Thank you all so much. I have definitely found my stylist for life.

Indeed a very nice customer service. Ive never have a salon give me a free hand massage and wine while I was getting my hair colored and cut. Which was pretty pricey. The only thing is when I got my hair cut it was poor due to the stylist not knowing the cut. Thats understandable. And I couldnt really explain the hair cut well.so I complained and the salon, which they offered to recut it for free. Thats great. But the day before my second appointment, the manager called me saying the new stylist I was scheduled for was inexperienced and he would rather put me with the women who cut my hair the first time. And making me feel uncomfortable by saying that I was the reason she didnt cut my hair right and that I seemed very happy when I left and she is a good stylist and nobody complains about her. I agreed to have my stylist changed back to the original stylist. But when I went in and explained to the stylist what I wanted in more detail she ended up getting one of her co workers to do it and explain to her what I wanted. I felt very uncomfortable about this. But I ended up getting the cut I wanted after two trips. If I do go back, I will never ask for that stylist.

Ive been going to Salon West for years, ever since I was a little girl. However, about a year ago my favorite hair stylist left and so I got put with another girl. I thought she was so nice at first but the more times I went to visit her, the more I started to dislike her. My last visit was the last straw. While she was cutting my hair she said things like "I cant believe this style ever became popular, it looks awful." "You really wouldnt be able to pull off short hair." "You are way too lazy to dye your hair, you wouldnt maintain it." Like honestly WHO says that while they are cutting someones hair! I felt so incredibly uncomfortable and for that it has forever changed my perspective on this place. How can they hire such rude people? Or at least not train them to keep their opinions to themselves sometimes. I wanted to give it another chance, but no. Salon West does not deserve any more of my money, especially considering they are extremely overpriced. $42 for a trim? Seriously? Its disgusting really.

I have been to Salon West a couple times in the past, but not for a few years. The last time I was there my hair broke all over after highlighting. I found another salon and have been going there for 3 years, but became frustrated with the cost going up and up with no explanation, so decided to give Salon West another try. WOW -- have they stepped UP their game!!! I didnt dislike it before, but I can honestly say I had the best experience there I have had in a very long time anywhere. They took time to talk to me and really understand what I wanted. Next I was given a PRICE QUOTE for the service!! I needed some color so we went to look at different swatches to pick one out. All this before any work was done. The results were just what I wanted as a result of good planning and communications. The complimentary arm massage and scalp massage were so relaxing. I felt truly taken care of and I cant wait for my next appointment.

So, I am one of those people who gets my hair cut at most once a year. And once I decide I want it, I want it now or Ill chicken out. (Pain in the butt client, I know.) I called the Walsingham location and unfortunately they were all booked for the day but theyd call when and if a cancellation happened. No more than 10 minutes later, I was called and was in for an appointment at 1:45. The girl at check in was fantastic and my wait was only a few minutes before I was called back. My stylist was Lauren D, and let me tell you. I have never had a more meticulous stylist ever. I have long, very thick, wavy and unruly hair. I walked out with goddess hair and a hug. I seriously will continue to come in just for a hair wash and blow out. She was PERFECTION. Sorry for the rambling, but this was the best experience Ive ever had. Lauren deserves ALL the praise.

Great salon, wonderful staff, healthy products. I was a client at the Salon West Walsingham location for several years. I even continued for the first few years when I moved to Sarasota but the drive became too much...the ONLY reason for leaving. I cant say enough good things about my stylist, CLAYTON! He is not only great at what he does but hes a dream to work with. He listens! Hes patient and discusses what you want. He always gave me great feedback on the health of my hair without feeling like he was pushing products. A very holistic POV on your hair. I highly recommend him! The location and traffic is a bit of a trek if you dont live in that area but worth it if you have the time.

(Accidentally wrote this under the Largo location reviews, whoops!) I have been going to this salon for a number of years now. I have had one stylist the entire time- Tina! I am even having my hair done while I am on vacation here since I had moved up north, because I dont trust anyone else with my hair! She is absolutely wonderful and can do exactly what I describe to her and even more to make it look better than I imagined. The atmosphere of the salon is bright and cheery, and you can tell everyone loves what they do. I highly suggest going here, and especially to Tina!

Ive been going to Salon West for a few years now, but I am going to be looking for another establishment from now on. My last two visits Ive been quoted for a price, and on the last one I was charged 100$ over what she told me it would cost, and I found out at checkout where I asked and my comment was brushed away. The only reason I got a keratin treatment was because my stylist said it was the best thing for my hair. Its never been frizzier or more messed up, even though I followed all of the procedures for the treatment. Im super upset. I used to really love this place.
