The absolute WORST in customer service and overall professionalism!! Sunday - I woke up to no hot water. I called ART and told them my situation and was told the service techs carry tankless hot water heaters on their trucks (which I found out later wasnt the case). I made an appt for Monday for a service tech to come out to my house and replace my tankless hot water heater. Monday - Left work 3 hours early to meet service tech at my house to have a new tankless hot water heater installed. Tech was supposed to contact me 1/2 hour before arriving at my home. They were supposed to arrive between 3 PM – 5 PM. Waited at my house for an hour and a half and received no phone call by 4 PM. I called ART and was told the service tech was on his way. Once he arrived, here is what transpired: A. I was told the new unit wld be $700.00 but when it came time to sign the iPad for authorization, the total was $1,153.75! B. I was told I would be emailed a copy of the paperwork and I just signed for on the iPad. That never happened. C. I was told the warranty on this particular system was 5 yrs on some aspects and 10 yrs on heating element but tech wasnt sure about details. He was supposed to check and get back to me. He never did. D. Was told unit had to be ordered but they would have it the next day (Tuesday) and they could possibly come out Tuesday to install it as well, but it might be Wednesday for the install. Tuesday - Got a phone call from ART saying the unit wasnt in yet so the install would have to be Wednesday. Wednesday - Got another call from ART. Unit still wasnt in so the install would have to be Thursday. Install date was set for 3PM – 5 PM. Thursday - Husband rearranged his work schedule to be at the house between 3PM – 5PM for the install. Got another call from ART. Unit was most likely not going to be delivered Thursday so install would have to be Friday. By now I have been without hot water for five days! Asked to speak with a manager. Manager couldnt tell me where the hot water heater was. The only information I was given was that they thought they had one in Port St. Lucie but that turned out not to be the case and they had to order it from the manufacturer in Texas. I was told that as soon as it came in they would send someone out immediately to install it. Sent an email to the service tech that came to my home Monday and "sold me" on this unit. Explained the runaround I was getting from his company and asked that he assist me in finding out where this unit was and exactly when they planned on installing it. I received no response. After doing my own research, I found that several places basically right in our own backyard carry these units. Why they had to order it from Texas is still a mystery! Called them again later Thursday around 5 PM and asked for a manager. I asked the manager if he could please tell me where the unit was by tracking it since it was being sent via UPS. The manager told me he was unable to give me that information because his parts manager was the one that handled that and he leaves at 4PM each day. Apparently its too much for the manager to get ahold of the tracking number and track it himself. Waiting to see what transpires tomorrow (Friday). 6 days without hot water!! Will the unit ever be delivered from the manufacturer in Texas to ART? Will I ever see a service tech who will install it in my home? Will I ever hear back from the service tech in regards to the warranty details? Stay tuned…… I will definitely be posting the ending to this horrific experience!

JOB 39270 - Hired Art for new installation of AC and duct replacement. Promises made by sales rep: Professional Installation fixing the previous Freon pipe condensation problem and replacement of Duct work, permit and inspection to be done according to the law and professional standards. Outcome: JOB 39270- unit installation not completed since July 10 due to Freon Pipe condensation leaking ever since. Several errors or pipe coupling, installation, missed measurements, Duct work had to be redone due to Aeroseal tacky - glue not dried for weeks and duct joints not matching properly, mastic application not dried and not applied properly . Ceiling could not be restored and permit and inspection is not completed since Jul 14, 2016 till today Sep 19, 2016 due to the unit is still not sealed, grills not installed and Freon pipe still dripping condensation in the ceiling. After several attempts to fix the issue the customer finds out on 9/16/2016 that Art charged up the financing account the full price of installation on Jul 14, 2016. The Financing company GreenSky is calling for payments while job is not finished since July 14. Customer is filling complaints due to Art charging their account without true completion of the job. A job without permit and passed inspection is not completed. Customer acted in good faith trusting this company will deliver the service promised and accommodated the service calls without knowing Art charged up the full price of installation on Jul 14! Consumers be aware! GreenSky will disburse the funds even if you think the Job was not completed! Do not exercise good faith, do not trust any work until permit and inspection is passed, do not apply for financing with GreenSky because they will give your money away without making sure the job is completed! I am hoping and praying to get this resolved and move on! I trusted the promises made and had compassion for the mistakes done by Art technicians and as a consumer I was not protected against fraudulent financial charges. I did not agree to pay for unfinished work on Job 39270. As of Nov 5th, 2016 the job quoted and scheduled for 3 days for July 10 is still not completed after 4 months. Technicians are sent out without proper materials and without proper work orders. A lot of time is lost due to miscommunication and improper management of materials and documents. Evidence of permit is still not completed. Consumers, be aware the quote is not being followed, the technicians do not have a work order in line with the quote. Total mismanagement and miscommunication is the dominant factor of all errors.

Called for an AC tune up. I expected the Freon to be low based on some symptoms of persistent running to keep house cool. Unit is about 11 years old, last service was at least 5 years ago, and compressed gasses always leach out - just a matter of how slow. Greg shows up, about an hour early. Clean well kempt uniform, very polite and well spoken. I tell him my concerns about the Freon. He pulls panels and checks several circuits and electrical items on the handler. Checks temp at head of blower. Points out the air is blowing at about 56 degrees right at air handler, and suggest this level of cold does not suggest low Freon. Adding that every connection to check Freon does cause loss of some Freon (I consider this true). He checks outside unit inspecting electrical items. About ¼ of coil is dirty since it requires panel removal that I’ve never done. The rest of coil is clean. He finds a dual capacitor showing electrical issues and points out sparking can be seen when looking down into the top – about 40% low, replacement $289. He indicates the coils could be cleaned to improve efficiency – they cut lines pull coil, clean, and reinstall with Freon for about $600 to $900. He indicates the condenser is drawing high (excess power), but not severe. I accept capacitor change and plan on self-clean the coils inside the unit (I’ve done this before). After capacitor change, 2 amp decrease in power, but fan (outside) motor drawing slightly high and suggest a struggling motor. Honest, I would say yes. Fair is a matter of perspective and I leave that for you to decide. He was here to check Freon and system for $70. Not sure if he took pressure reading on Freon. He found issues and corrected, or made me aware. The capacitor runs about $30 and is easy to replace. He was here for about 1 hour total and I paid a total $289 for one hour and the $30 capacitor. I have no fault with Greg!!! I have an issue with the pricing. As an accountant, I know a rolling office/warehouse is not cheap to keep, and skilled labor is not cheap. Overall, I would think $150 to $175 would be fair. But that is my opinion. Before you agree with me… Consider a repairman who comes in, looks at a system in 5 minutes, turns one screw, and hands you a bill for $100. You do not pay the man for 5 minutes of work and to turn the screw. You pay him for knowing which screw to turn, how far to turn it, and how fast he completes the job. Is $289 fair – it could be!
