The appointment was originally scheduled for a Friday b/w 1:15-3:15pm. No one was able to give me even a ball park estimate. My sink was slow to drain and it needed to be snaked, which I assumed was routine but no one could give me any idea as to cost. Sat at home waiting for technician to show up. Called at 3:15 and was told it would be more like 4-5 pm. At 5 pm I called and was told it would be more like 6-7. At 7pm I called and the representative asked if the technician could come at 11:30 that night. When I said no and complained about the repeated delays, the representative told me they would take 20% off the bill. When I asked again about the possible cost, the representative had no idea. The next morning I called to see when the technician would arrive, I was "guaranteed" he would be there between 10am and noon. Of course noon came and went whereupon I called again to be told he would be there b/w 1 and 2 pm. When I called at 2 I was told he would be there in 30 minutes. When he arrived at 2:30 he was polite but not apologetic. I showed him the problem in the kitchen and let him check out the situation while I went in the other room to make calls. The next thing I know, he hands me a bill for $347 to snake the drain and said the drain had a lot of grease in it. When I questioned him about the price he said it was a standard charge for snaking a drain. When I asked why no one would tell me the "standard charge" when I had asked, he had no idea. He also had no idea about the promised 20% discount for wasting most of my day on Friday and Saturday waiting for someone to show up. Ive read other reviews and this seems to be a common problem (repeated delays and unexpected expense). I would never recommend Roto Rooter and I will never use their services again.

Roto-Rooter is now my go to when it comes to plumbing issues! I had an issue where my washing machine was leaking onto our floor. Our washing machine repair man told us that it wasnt the washer, that we needed a plumber because our drain was clogged. By the time we found this out, it was mid-afternoon on Saturday. I called Roto-Rooter hoping to get an appointment but understandably they were booked for the rest of the day but had an opening for Sunday morning between 8 and 12. At 7:10 Sunday morning we received a phone call from the dispatcher and she informed us that our technician would be there at 8am. Demetrios arrived at 7:45! That was awesome. We told him the issues we were having and he explained, in great detail, what was actually happening and what needed to be done to solve them. He is very polite and knows his job very well. Demetrios used an auger to clear out the main drain line in our house. He took the time to make sure everything was draining appropriately and ensured us that if we had any further issues that they would come back out. When he left our home, there was no trace of him other than everything draining perfectly. We are very happy with the service we received and not only will we use Roto-Rooter again, we will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

We had a pipe that needed to be cleared. Called another plumber and after waiting several hours for them to show up, they finally showed up, made a huge mess of our home, and required that I help out because he wasnt prepared to clear the pipe. After not being able to clear it, he left and we were left with a clogged drain, a filthy house, and a wasted day. We immediately called Roto-Rooter and had an appointment first thing the next morning. (On a Sunday!) Jay Gallogly called before showing up, was polite and extremely professional. He explained everything he was doing and gave great advice on how to avoid these types of issues in the future. Best thing was, I didnt have to get dirty working on the plumbing as a helper like the previous plumbing company we called. After a few minutes, Jay cleared the pipe, cleaned up the area he was working, and it was like he was never there. He is a true master of his craft! Thanks again Roto-Rooter and Jay for taking care of our plumbing issue quickly and professionally!!!

I will say their response to my problem was fast. The person who arrived was friendly and knowledgeable. However, $303.00 to run a snake through my main drainage pipe? That was ridiculous. It took no longer then 30 minutes of actual labor. After i called a several local plumbers. Explain what was done and their charges were between $125 & $160 less for the same service. My advice is use local plumbers. Easier on the pocket Now I get a call from someone from Roto Rooter, who leaves a message. I return his call and no answer. I leave a message and he calls me back 3 days later. Leaves a message again. I call him back with in minutes and again no answer. Leave another message and he hasnt called me back since ( 4 days ago). Cmon. Really

I needed my toilet snaked the day before Thanksgiving - great, professional service from Dennis at Roto-Rooter. Called at 8:30am and they said they would be there by noon. Called me back around 10am to say they were running a little behind and it would be "closer to noon," arrived around 11:50. He efficiently and effectively diagnosed the problem, gave me a a price before starting the work, had all the parts and tools needed to do the job, worked quickly and cleaned up after himself. He even talked to me before re-grouting the toilet because he didnt have the exact right color grout - I was able to find some grout in the shed that matched. Fast, effective, professional service just in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

Fred Eben came to service our home in Delray Beach, FL, in April and I was absolutely amazed by his professionalism, politeness and taking the time to explain to me how various components of the drainage systems were laid out throughout the house and how the jetting system worked to clean ot the pipes. It seems that we had 18 years of accumulated grease from the kitchen that finally blocked the pipes and backed up the water all the way throughout the bathrooms and even the showers drains. I had no clue. Its kinda like when your arteries are blocked and they put a balloon in there to open them up, although they use 4,000 lbs of water pressure for cleaning out the pipes.

All of the Service men that came to Help me with the Clean up and Plumbing Problem were very neat and gentlemen that would be welcome in anyones Home. Its nice to see a company that hires people that are not only good Workers they also care about the Company they work for, plus they are very polite when greeting their customers that are in need of help and upset with the damage that has occurred in there home.
