Ive been a crossfitter for about 14 months now. Ive been a member of 2 Crossfit gyms and Ive also attended classes at 3 other locations around the country. Crossfit Conquest is a superior gym compared to the others Ive attended for two significant reasons. First, the coaching at Conquest helps you maximize your weight loss and training goals while minimizing injury. The Conquest coaches do an excellent job of balancing your potential given what your body can handle. Like many others, when I first started crossfit, I wanted to jump in, lose a bunch of weight, and maybe not get "ripped," but at least not look like a chubby math geek. So of course I threw my back out during my first crossfit experience at another gym in Colorado (I wont name the gym). I was skeptical about going back, but my wife convinced me to try it again after we moved to Florida. I could tell right away that the Conquest coaches had a priority to prevent injuries. The coaches at Conquest made sure to go over proper form and weight at every class. Still to this day I struggle with my form and the Conquest coaches are there to help me through it. Because they pay special attention to each member, Conquest has a low injury rate which all of us crossfitters should appreciate. And second, the aspect of community at Conquest makes it more unique than any other gym Ive found. Regular gyms with treadmills and weight machines incentivize reclusive behavior. I used to think that getting on a treadmill and listening to music was my "getting away from it all" phase of the day. But it never worked for me. I needed encouragement and a place to actually (gasp!) have fun when I worked out. While I certainly have experienced the community at other crossfit locations, none rival the members at Conquest. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging making the whole process of working out so much better. And weve made some great friends in the process! Even though you want to jump into crossfit and look good right away as I did, its just not possible for most of us. It takes a great coach pushing you just enough, but not too much, and a great community of people to positively reinforce your goals. After just over 1 year at Conquest, Im no longer a chubby math geek, just a regular ol math geek. And Im sort of ripped too... Brett

The leadership of the owners is practiced by the friendly, supportive and knowledgeable coaches, who conduct their classes professionally, timely and with an eye on every athlete. If you are a more seasoned athlete, Conquest will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your skills, improve your performance and push you past your prior athletic accomplishments. The overall community at Conquest is welcoming, supportive and eager to provide guidance and encouragement. Long time members routinely introduce new members around the gym and are always available for assistance. Conquest provides positive reinforcement while still making sure that its members are working at their peak capacity. In short, if you seek results, if you seek a challenge and if you seek a supportive, safe, knowledgeable organization then Conquest is the place for you!

CrossFit Conquest is hands down THE BEST place to workout in Fort Lauderdale... period, finished, the end. Jon, Donivan, Natalie and all of the coaches at Conquest have created something really special at their facility. I worked in the fitness industry for almost twenty years and grand opened multi million dollar health clubs all over the US, but never in all that time have I ever been to a facility that felt like a family the way that it does at Conquest. Everyone is friendly and supportive whether you are there for your first WOD or have been coming to the box everyday for the past two years. The coaches are excellent and genuinely care about you and your goals. They push you harder than you think you can ever go while ensuring that you are being safe and using proper form. They know how to scale the workouts to be challenging for all fitness and skill levels. The workout programming is excellent and a direct reflection of the passion, knowledge and expertise that Jon and Donivan have for CrossFit. My degree is in Exercise and Sports Science so I was skeptical about how CrossFit worked but in the six months I have been at Conquest I can say that I am truly impressed with how they design the workouts, scale the weight and movements to the appropriate fitness level and teach proper form on the olympic lifts. All while motivating each individual member to push themselves beyond what they previously thought was impossible. If you are thinking about trying CrossFit and have some reservations, do yourself a favor and come down met Jon and Donivan, due an introductory workout and then decide, you wont be disappointed.

Crossfit Conquest is by far one of the best Crossfit gyms I have ever been to. I have been a member since July 2012. I moved to Florida from Ohio to attend medical school and I found Conquest. I had been doing Crossfit for almost a year and I wanted to find a new gym where I could continue working on my goals. In my first week, I knew that I made the right decision. The Conquest community has been so welcoming and the "box" fitted my needs perfectly. After six months, I have found a home at Conquest and a new Crossfit family. Jon, Donivan, Mark, Craig and all of the coaches have helped me achieve many of my goals and each week they push me and encourage me to work harder. ALL of the coaches at Conquest are extremely committed to their members and the Crossfit values. The best part is our community! Our members represent every age and all levels of ability but the support we show for each other is truly amazing. We all work together and endure the pain together. I have made many new friends and my daily WOD has become the best part of my day. As a medical student, my days are extremely busy but I find time every day to attend the WOD because it is the one hour a day that I have for myself and it relaxes me and keeps me strong, healthy and energized for my demanding schedule. There are many classes throughout the day so I am always able to find time to attend whether it be in the morning or evening. I highly recommend Crossfit Conquest to anyone who is interested in finding a welcoming and supportive Crossfit gym! Conquest is the BEST!

I have been a member at Crossfit Conquest for four months now and am very happy with the choice I made to join. I was an olympic weightlifting athlete all through college and then trained and competed independently for a few years after. Over the years I have experienced a variety of gyms and have found that many crossfit gyms, although are generally more effective when it comes to getting fit and losing weight, have a culture that promotes excessive training and lead to unnecessary injuries. I was skeptical that Crossfit Conquest would be any different but was willing to try. I have spent the last few years dedicated to work and was completely out of shape, ripe for an injury if I started training stupidly. What I found was an excellent gym with a culture that encourages the best from all its members without any shaming or irresponsible coaching. Each workout can be adjusted to meet your abilities and skill level as well as help you work on those things that need improvement. This makes for a fun, dynamic experience with each of us wanting to give our best each time and show up everyday. I cannot stress how appreciative I am that I have found such a great gym to be a part of. Although I am still a ways away from getting back to the shape I was once in, I am confident that I will get there with the help of the team at Crossfit Conquest. I highly recommend trying it for a month at least, I am sure you wont want to leave. Happy New Year to all and may this year allow you to achieve all your health goals :).
