This is the message I sent to Steve Butler the district GM assigned to this location after I had an exchange of words with the employee Named (Nana) hes a male. Do yourself a favor and dont sing here and if you do dont pay for the initiation fee they have the power to waive them completely. ......................................................................................... Hi Mr. Butler- Im texting you about an incident that happened at LA fitness in plantation regarding one of your employees who got into a verbal altercation with me and my friend who also used to work there for juan and dan .We were at the end of our work out and all the cable machines were taken so we asked permission to use the cable machine in the personal training area at that point in time the new fitness manager came out and verbally attacked us from a distance the whole Gym was able to hear. He then approached us and continued to yell at us to get out of the area after asking permission again from another staff member who said it was OK he he threatened another staff member in front of me and told him to get out of the way of the way so he could push us out. At that point in time he asked for my phone number but I declined to give it to him. He didnt even have anybody that he was training so he was just trying to cause problems this is no Way to treat customers who are loyal to the brand and who have been customers and members for a while I hope this employee is more productive then our membership fees. and I hope no other customers ever have to face this employee again because this is no way to treat customers and no way to provide good customer service the employees name is nana and he allowed a group of young girls to use the same area no problem...which leads me to believe the was gender or racially motivated

Im not a member at any LAF because theyre dirty and too crowded for my taste and they dont offer towel service. I just slide in to have the occasional workout with my local friends and pay the $15 daily fee. So for all intents and purposes, Im not going to compare this LAF to an Equinox or Life Time. Well just talk about it for what it is... So, people that complain about bad service and some filth at a $20/month gym just honestly need some kind of reality check. What the hell do you expect?! Would you stop at a $40/night motel outside of Manhattan and expect diamond service? No. Well, not unless youre a primadonna. This location is fairly clean compared to most other totally trashed locations Ive visited in many states. Energy level is decent and for the most part, the nighttime attendees are cooperative and easygoing. As far as quality of people, you wont really find Browards elite here. The crowd is mostly younger and there are quite a few workout gangs. You know what Im talking about, right? The group of four guys that all dress in the same outfits and all stand around while one is working a set out while taking up way too much room. Also, dont be caught wearing a gym outfit that costs a total of more than $100 because everyone will stare you down. Mine was a total of about $350, but whos really counting at that point! Sauna is decent, but usually full of creepers and the showers are semi clean. Come check this LAF out before its totally trashed like all the other ones.

Ive visited LA fitnesss across the country and this is the worst location so far. Bathrooms are always disgusting This location needs extra staffing to remain sanitary considering the large flow of people per day. All of the dumbbells are in the wrong places on the rack and have been this way for the past 6 months. Plates and equipment scattered everywhere. Half of the water fountains are inoperative at any given time, and when they do work its warm water. Need safety clips for the Olympic bars? Good luck! They are far and few... and when you do find a pair of safety clips they are mangled beyond belief..... You would think LA Fitness would be promoting safe lifting right? Not here..... Forget about playing basketball or volleyball in the gym... Its overtaken by a bunch of clickish bros. The GM and front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Hope HQ expands their budget so they can get some help. HQ needs to visit this location to straighten this mess up! There is a parking garage beneath the gym which provides nice shaded parking during the summer heat in South FL. Still beats going to planet fitness I guess...

Ive been coming to this gym since it opened. Always been a great experience until about 6 months ago. It started out as one pair of dancers using the aerobics and boxing room for a couple of hours during LA Fitness free down time between classes between the hours of 12-4pm. The past 3 months these dancers have just gotten out of hand. They use the entire space of the aerobics room from 12-3 sometimes 4pm. Its like theyre teaching classes without having to pay a rental space fee. Its absolutely rude to other guests trying to box/do yoga/Pilates. They play their music on their speakers very loud. When I asked staff about it, it seemed as if they get this complaint often. Its time to do something about this. 12-4 is when I enjoy going because there are no classes held in the room and all guests can free style at their own leisure, but this cant happen if these dancers are using the space to teach their own private classes.

My complaint is two-fold: First, they need one more squat rack. There is always a wait so one more rack would help alleviate that. Secondly, gym etiquette and manners needs to be reestablished and enforced somehow. There are too many oblivious members staring at their iPhones while sitting/resting on the machine or equipment theyre supposed to be using for exercise....see my first complaint above.... I could do my workout in less than an hour if these other members would just do their own work out and not goof off on their smart phones. Its very frustrating and does not encourage me to continue my membership. Also, theres free weight dumbbells left all over the place: Re-wrack them please!!! Oh wait these are the same inconsiderate knuckleheads who hog the squat racks for an hour.... Its a nice facility, but the membership consists of a bunch of entitled millenials who think no one else matters except themselves.

this is the worst gym ever. Ill start by saying that the bathrooms are filthy since day 1. I dont know who puts up posts that this gym is clean because its not. The general manager is a dick and doesnt let you use the battle ropes and the kettle bells. he actually hides them. two of my friends cancelled theyre memberships because of that. customer service there is terrible and for a brand new gym they have a lot of broken equipment which takes the almost a month to fix. thats what I think of this gym. and Im gonna keep on putting bad reviews until they put up these battle ropes because thats part of the gym. I called corpo5about it and they didnt want to do anything regarding this issue. I think its pretty obnoxious for a gym not to have a HIIT section for members to use.
