Im writing my first restaurant review ever! Cool! We were psyched to find a locally owned Italian restaurant while staying in Florida City, FL. Seemed like a win-win! We asked to sit outside in the lovely courtyard with fountain. NO one else was out there...this couldve been our mistake - since it took 10+ minutes for a waiter to visit us (after I went in and asked for one). The waiter was new, and doing his best....but was quite forgetful and didnt know the menu very well (he was new). I ordered the escargot as an app. - it was excellent - and the bread - great! The salads with our meals - poor for fresh produce Florida (their homemade Italian vinagarette - poor - watery). At last - our main entrees. My partner ordered the Eggplant Rigatonni - it was excellent! I ordered the cracked conch. It was basically a conch fritter appetizer. We had a copy of an older menu at the hostel, so I say an app. on there for conch. Not on last nights menu. So, I thought what I was ordering was going to be more dollied up - with a key lime mustard sauce (never showed, just tartar sauce). I asked for a side of spaghetti and meat sauce (ok) to go with my appetizer/main dish. All in all, dinner at Capri was a so-so experience. My partner had great food, my was so-so. Service was poor - and customer service (ie - giving us discount for poor service, food) was non-existant. I would eat here again just because its one of only a handful of locally owned restaurants in these parts still.... Tim from Massachusetts

If I could give zero stars I would do that... Most horrible experience ever! We hired this restaurant to cater our event but the owner and bartender of this restaurant were drinking while working to the point that they were clearly intoxicated which is very unprofessional and inappropriate (multiple statements from witnesses in writing to confirm this). The food was great, but the service was the worst we have ever experienced. Even our event planner was super stressed out because she was treated in a very disrespectful manner. And when you complain about their bad behavior and service then they wont make any effort to apologize and make it right... instead they have their lawyer send you a letter to intimidate you?! Newsflash: customers are allowed to complain about services according the Consumer Review Fairness Act. Because Capri doesnt want to solve this matter we have filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. We dont want to harm Capris reputation, but we do want to warn potential customers so hopefully we can prevent this from happening to any other family or company. If you need any further information please send me a DM because they will probably deny these facts or post some fake response here.

Been here in the past and it was great. However my visit tonight wasnt so great. Service was extremely slow. Took 30 mins to get salads and the house salad was a few shreds of iceberg lettuce with 1 slice of tomato. My coworker didnt even get a tomato and her masala was cold. However, the french onion soup, chicken limone, and a gratin potatoes were amazing. I think the issues we had was mostly slow service and I get the feeling its because the server does everything with no help from other servers like you see at other places. Ordered a piece of chocolate cake for $6.59 and it was half the size of what I got last year when I visited. It was really a shame but Im hoping it was just a bad night. Server was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Will try again next year when Im in town.

I went to dinner on New Years eve with a group of 12 people. We had reservations for 8:30 and were not seated until 8:45. We sat in a half empty dining room for a half hour until water and rolls were brought. It took an hour and a half for dinner to be served. They ran out of rolls when we asked for more. They also ran out of house dressing. The wait service was unacceptable and shoddy at best. When our Eggplant Parm came it was spongy and unappetizing and the sauce was acidic tasting. I have eaten here before with similar results and was sorry I accepted an invitation to eat there again. It surely will never happen again. Using an excuse of being under staffed for New Years Eve should never be given. If you cant service your customers you shouldnt except reservations.

We have pass by this restaurant so many times and finally gave it a try. I am so sad to say we didnt like it, my husband ordered the speacial which was a Ribeye steak, it looked boiled with no seasoning. I ordered the white pizza which was ok nothing out of this world. We also ordered the raspberry lemon cake once again it was just ok Publix cake taste 100 times better. Ohhh How can I ever forget the appetizer we ordered "the salami and cheesee plate", it was literally cold cut slices on a plate so I got the bread and made myself a sandwich lol I could of gone to the store and bought myself deli meat and cheese and called it an appetizer. We wont be going back. By the way I hate writing bad reviews since this is the livelihood of other people but my God I was not good.

The employee of an motel recommended this restaurant, unfortunately. First, our order was not good notated; there was one appetizer missing. Then we became an dirty whineglass. The replaced white wine in the clean glass was warm.....Then two main dishes (of 4) were cold. They warmed it in an microwave, so the shrimps were too dry. The sauce with the shrimps was the same as the sauce of the pasta, and the same as the sauce on the chicken and the same as the sauce with the France fries and the same.... Altogether: too little quality for too much money.

Mr. Accursio and his staff at Capri Restaurant and the Keys Gate Clubhouse (a property managed by Mr. Accursio) are amazing! They graciously hosted our event for 100+ people and prepared the most delicious meal for our guest. The meal included baked ziti with meat sauce and dinner rolls. The meat sauce had fresh chunks of tomato and was perfectly seasoned. The rolls were flaky and warm. When dining at Capri, these are must have! We cant wait to have another event catered by Capri!

I had my daughters bridal shower last Saturday and it was wonderful!! Thank you Dora, planner; Jim, the owner; and most of all Lauren, our server with all of my requests. The chicken parmesan was delicious even warmed up the next day!! The ladies loved the atmosphere of the room and how Lauren wanted to do nothing more than to please everyone. We love you all Capri employees and see you again for another delicious meal served with care!

Nice place to have some Italian good. Its a bit off the radar and its got a very homey look to it which I think appeals well to the Italian restaurant idea. Good food, love their pizza! I like the fact that they have separate locations within the same restaurant. They have the pizza parlor family friendly section and they have the formal dinning section. It truly is a clever idea.

I wish I could give this place higher than 1 star but I just cant. Our waitress was excellent, but the food was terrible. I ordered shrimp scampi and it was very bland. My daughters ordered pizza and salmon over linguine pasta and it was disgusting. If anyone ever thinks about eating here please run in a different direction. The prices are not worth the gross food they serve.
