Ill start by saying that I went well out of my way to go to this particular repair shop based upon these reviews alone and avoided another shop [not to be named] based on their very negative reviews. Case in point, reviews make a difference. And for that one unjustifiable negative review below, it was easy enough to discard its credibility based on the notion that they found their experience positive after all was said and done. It was ridiculous to skew their rating based upon $50!!! "Customer Service" is a phrase often lost in the auto repair industry. NOT is the case with Midas on Sunrise. I came in late Saturday with a terrible exhaust problem caused by road debris. Not only were they able to repair the problem after a relatively short wait of which I might have expected a much longer wait in spite of my arriving relatively close to closing, they came in WAY under what I was originally estimated on to repair it by another repair facility. Todd and all those I met were great to work with and I found their positive attitudes towards customers and their needs refreshing. They clearly explained my situation and I certainly did not feel they were trying to pitch me on unnecessary costs as so many other repair shops often do. Based upon this experience alone, I plan to take my car in on a regular basis for all my mechanical needs. Rarely does one WANT to spend money on making repairs to their cars, so its comforting to know that customer service still does exist in the auto repair industry. Rest assured, you wont be disappointed with the service at this Midas. Thank you Todd and all those who helped me get on my way efficiently and as painlessly as possible! Reviews make a difference folks. So if youve had a positive experience, share it! If youre in need of auto repairs, this is the shop to head to!

Absolutely terrible!! They put four extra quarts of transmission fluid into my car and I didnt know until my car broke down twice. I spent over 700 dollars to fix the parts that broke because of the overfill. Now I am concerned even more damage has been done. The manager Jonathan said they could have never done that, although I provided him with documented proof that they did, from the dealership where I got my car fixed the second time. They also left the cap off my power steering fluid and it leaked all over the front end of my car, until it was bone dry. Jonathan claims they dont check any other fluids while Midas corporate assured me they always do. I dont know who is lying? Heres the deal, I have never touched the transmission or power steering fluid and they were the last ones to have even opened my hood. I wasnt even provided a refund for the major mess up they did. I was just told I was wrong. Terrible business practices, pathetic customer service, and apparently no knowledge in regards to fixing cars. I would have been better off flushing my own transmission, and I dont know jack about it. Then Jonathan I would have TRULY responsible for overfilling my transmission like you said. I will be reporting you all to the better business bureau next!

These guys are the best. I went into their shop 3 years ago and Ryan, their mechanic, helped me out. Ive never looked back. Im 63 and have had many cars, old and new, and I never had a better, more reliable, service on a car. He always takes the time to explain everything hes done. Its like giving your car to a family member, I trust him completely. Its a ten year old car and it runs better than ever with his care. Todd, the manager, will research your problem, get you the best deal, and go the extra mile to make sure, whatever problem you had, is solved. I went to pick up my car once after something was repaired, and found Joe, the owner, under the hood, saying, "there is something a little off", and tweaked it. It was paid for and ready to go and was running fine, but Joe had to make it better. Now, thats a hands on owner, and he really knows his stuff. From top to bottom, you will not find a better place to take care of your car.

At first impression front counter staff very nice, friendly offered coffee and have a 45min estimate for basic oil change and tire rotation. That is great! After an hour with absence of tires put on I asked how much longer? The response given let me check....15-20 minutes. Little to our knowledge the mechanic forgot to tell us a filter needed to be ordered. After 1hr 50min and a new scratch on my drivers side door I will not be returning to this location. After crying and yelling because of my outrage the owner Joe did offer to fix the scratch because the scratch was not there 1 and 2 was not documented. Why must I take another 2hrs our of my day to fix your careless mistake. Very unsatisfied, go to Jiffy Lube! Would NOT recommend! Could not give less than 1 star so I guess thats what this location gets. Noticed tire pressure light on after leaving very odd considering pressure should have been checked after rotation and light reset!

I am actually amazed I never wrote this review before. I love my Midas on Sunrise, I have been going there for three years since I moved back to Florida. Todd the manager is excellent, personable and has a memory like a steel trap. I love my old cars, especially 80s Celicas,so you know there are many mechanical problems. I can take the car in and get a diagnosis and Todd will tell me what needs fixing, in what order and how long I can wait. They understand the concept of having to wait a few paychecks and never give me that "panic" thing thing that some mechanics will. My son and my brother both fix cars and my Dad was a mechanic so I have mechanical knowledge and the first time Todd spoke to me I realized he was being dead on honest . I admit I would never think I could find this level of honesty and competency at a "chain" like Midas, but I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

The staff is great here. Prices are very fair. Todd is awesome. Took my car in because the check engine light was flashing and I badly needed an oil change and an alignment. I did not have much money so I just dropped it off for the oil initially and Todd had them do a full engine check for free. He presented me with the problem (ignition coil needed replacement) as well as manufacturer recommended maintenance (timing belt replacement at 40K mi) in a very LOW PRESSURE sales environment (refreshing). I have since compared his estimate for these different services with other shops around Fort Lauderdale and have found their prices to be about average if not on the lower end of the spectrum. I have so far gotten just my oil and alignment done but I fully intend to go back to this Midas for my engine work--their customer service cant be beat.

As a Texas native schooling here in Florida, Ive returned to this particular location for more the past 5 years. I trust no one else when it comes to keeping my truck in tip top shape. The staff are friendly, easy to talk to, informative and go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need and ensure your satisfaction. From patching up a flat to replacing the ball joints on my truck, the entire staff at Midas kept me informed on problems that need attention now as well as any others that might occur in the near future. If theres a Midas near you and youre reading this review, I highly recommend driving that extra mile or two to visit this location if possible. Should I return to S. Florida in the future, this will always be my auto place of choice.
